Well, not that...That's just dumb...

And that "Certain Colored Shirts" rule.

Gang violence is almost always the reason for the limitation of colors, and it's probably the most valid rule imaginable. Children have been straight up killed for wearing the wrong colors in the wrong neighborhoods around schools.

Well of course, though the colored shirts rule is only necessary in some areas, I do agree with it.

RE: Ridiculous School Rules - Hahstuz - Dec. 26, 2012

Yeah, It's actually quite amusing that here we have an STATE LAW that prohibit use of any form of cellphone at any form of normal school. Well, not so ridiculous as for the reasons.

Now, what about getting your phone confiscated for HAVING it? Yes, they can!!

For rules itself, I don't think I never really bumped into anything stupid (at least, in contest)...

...But no pencil with multiplication tables on it. Wow, my pencil is telling me 3x3 = 9. My test has Factorial schemes/sphere area calculum. Or worst, GEOGRAPHY questions. Oh, a cheater I am~

RE: Ridiculous School Rules - Kujikato - Dec. 26, 2012

Thing is, it's just to completely reduce any form of cheating. Cause cheat once, and you'll be inclined to cheat again, it's human nature, and needs to be avoided.

School doesn't allow kids to be 'paid' for the food that they share, cause heck, I bring rather expensive food to school, and I'm not letting my classmates just take that money away from me.

Hey there, Kujikato. Just wanted to give some words, that's is, if you were addressing to me. There was another reason besides no cheating.

RE: Ridiculous School Rules - Kujikato - Dec. 27, 2012

Yeah, I was addressing you. Another reason? Let's hear it. But honestly, my statement stands true though, it is more likely for us to repeat something wrong once we've done it.

RE: Ridiculous School Rules - halokid452 - Dec. 31, 2012

My school has a rule of No White Shirts -.- kinda annoying considering most of my closet is filled with white clothing

RE: Ridiculous School Rules - Tri - Dec. 31, 2012

One rule I suppose that ridiculous is not being to have Trapper Keepers in elementary, but you can in High School. I'm in Junior High so I can have one, but it's strange.

RE: Ridiculous School Rules - Wombat - Dec. 31, 2012

We are not allowed to have water bottles during tests... Apparently some student taped the answers on the inside of a bottle and looked through the side to read them. It makes sense at my school, but sounds pretty weird out of context.

That actually doesn't sound too bad for any school. We're not allowed to have water bottles during tests 'cus there's been too many people that have spilled it on their answer documents. Tired now we have to go to the front of the room and use these little paper cups...but only once every hr. Speechless

RE: Ridiculous School Rules - OwnageDerp - Aug. 27, 2013

My high school says we can't:
Wear Dodgers/Raiders gear (gang representation, I can't wear my autographed jersey)
Use regular wood pencils
Hang out in the locker room at lunch (a group of idiots got caught smoking)
Wear shorts below knee, or clothes that reveal your "other" skin
And finally, no uniforms (yay)

RE: Ridiculous School Rules - Tri - Aug. 27, 2013

We can't have our phones out during lunch which is basically a free period like before and after school. I have heard of many schools that let you so this sucks.

this is a new one for me, rules on short length. i don't own a par of shorts that ride above my knees.
... that's too much leg

RE: Ridiculous School Rules - Dual - Aug. 27, 2013

I do, but only cuz I grow out of shorts in a few months Tongue_out
They're only just above the knee though, haha.

My old school have you an automatic detention if you were late for lunch.
Lunch.
IT'S LUNCH!
No warning or anything, just straight to ol detention.

RE: Ridiculous School Rules - ShinobuXD - Aug. 27, 2013

Yeah not allowing shorts below the knees is stupid. I guess they don't want people to sag, but why not just say no sagging?

Tri: My school doesn't allow it either.

Anyways, the only weird rules my school has are 1. Nobody can go to their locker after lunch, and 2. There's a certain stairway no one can go up after lunch.

RE: Ridiculous School Rules - *Ginga* - Aug. 27, 2013

My school has a no showing of undergarments policy. Not ridiculous at all, actually.

My school did add two weird rules this year such as making our teacher that has us before lunh walk us in a straight line to lunch. Like wtf

Then there is also the new rule that you can only visit your locker at certain times.

RE: Ridiculous School Rules - SwitchBlayder - Aug. 27, 2013

My last year of high school, there was a sign on the wall in the bathroom that said "No lighting fires in the garbage!"
I believe the sign backfired though since before it was put up, it only happened once, After that it happened 3 more times... the last time they lit the sign on fire and threw it in the garbage SMH

RE: Ridiculous School Rules - 6 God - Aug. 27, 2013

Last year I was reading the school handbook(one time thing) and it said no "elevator eyes" as one of the school rules. I Lol'd so much that day.

RE: Ridiculous School Rules - Achi-baba - Aug. 27, 2013

We can't wear hats that aren't bought from the school. I mean I live in Fontana, Where we have six seasons: Summer, Blazing Summer, Spring(only like two weeks to a month because of the invasive second summer), Winter, The Wind Season, and Fall(same thing with Spring)

We're currently in Blazing Summer and no one want's to buy a hat. My Friend wore a Nepeta Leijon Hat before school, and a cop told her to take it off. I mean Homestuck isn't gang related [unless you count the Fruity Rumpus (BEEP) Factory].

RE: Ridiculous School Rules - Ryukiba - Aug. 27, 2013

Wow?! My school doesn't let us wear hats either!Unhappy I wore one of these to school!!!XD
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00570KF9E/ref=pd_aw_sims_1?pi=SL500_SY115
Everyone was staring at me like wtf is she wearing?!XD teachers kept telling me to take it off because I kept putting it back on in the hallway!Unhappy

RE: Ridiculous School Rules - Tri - Aug. 27, 2013

O h my gosh, I forgot the most ridiculous of all. So my school has this thing called tutorial period (not sure if others do) and what it is, is that after 3rd period you would go to a classroom you were stamped by the teaxher by, assignment completion, or a study table.

Anyways the dumb thing is we can't go to our lockers after 3rd period meaning if we had homework or something we wanted to finish during tutorial, we couldn't get it until after lunch.

RE: Ridiculous School Rules - DefStamina88 - Aug. 28, 2013

So at my school, a teacher told us, "No texting during exams!!" and then right after she said that, she says, "If somebody texts, I will text the principal and get you in trouble."

...

So you're gonna punish me for texting by texting?

...

Interesting. Tired
