Hi, yes. Testing thread. Checking to make sure this thing still works.

I've had this idea for YEARS. I got a cosmic 2 years ago, I got an RB and an RSF last year, I got a TH170 today. I've wanted to make a testing thread for a while. So here we are.

What does the combo do?

This combo aims to KO mid and low height stamina from above, while sitting just low enough to destabilize 230 into a KO. It also aims to OS low height attack and defense 230 style.

Why were these parts chosen?

Normal Face Bolt: It's tall, and I imagine it wouldn't be able to get some of the OS's it does here with the instability generated by a metal face. I left out metal faces on everything this time around, but I imagine it would only have mattered for the meteo matchup. White face because it pairs with the cw and paint.
Pegasis 1: I picked this because it's sky blue, and I painted my cosmic pink. Trans pride, baby! ...stamina CWs might be better, but peg1 being light might actually help it balance.
Cosmic: It's effectively a hybrid wheel analogue to PHW Pegasis in that it has high smash attack and force smash, but it has generally mediocre ability to hit upwards. It also has higher stamina to succeed on RSF or RB where PHW Pegasis might be lacking. As PHW Pegasis has found success on TH170, it seems worthwhile to try Cosmic on it too.
TH170: TH170 enables Cosmic to be just low enough to KO low stamina types while hitting medium height stamina types on relatively equal footing. It also enables it to ascend to 220 height to outspin defense combos and low attack types.
RB: I chose this over RF/R2F/LRF as Cosmic does not hugely benefit from the mobility, and instead benefits from being able to be launched as hard as possible, which will come up in several matchups. RB in specific was chosen over RSF and CS due to its ability to keep itself upright more readily, which is important as Cosmic generally wants to be as close to parallel to the ground when it hits things. A worn RSF might be better suited for handling stallers and be able to lean a bit more to KO stamina types while keeping the ability to stay upright, but my current RSF is fresh, so I am using RB instead. I may do a follow-up once my RSF is worn.

Testing:
All testing was done in the Summit stadium.

vs Defense
Cosmic Pegasis TH170RB (220) vs Jade Cancer DF105RS
Alternated launches, both flat launched hard
Cosmic: 8 wins (8 OS)
Jade: 2 wins (1 KO, 1 OS)
Cosmic Win Rate: 80%

Cosmic Pegasis TH170RB (220) vs Earth Aquario 90CS
Alternated launches, Cosmic flat launched hard, Earth flat launched hard to attempt KO
Cosmic: 7 wins (2 KO, 5 OS)
Earth: 2 wins (1 KO, 1 OS)
1 draw (double KO)
Cosmic Win Rate: 70%

Cosmic Pegasis TH170RB (170) vs Bakushin Leone 85MF
Alternated launches, Cosmic hard launched at tilt, Bakushin launched to stall
Cosmic: 0 wins
Bakushin: 10 wins (3 KO, 7 OS)
Cosmic Win Rate: 0%
THE SWIFT SPECIAL STRIKES AGAIN! Cosmic doesn't reach low enough to KO Bakushin, and Bakushin just stalls it out, contact or not.

vs Stamina

Cosmic Pegasis TH170RB (170) vs Meteo L. Drago Absorb LW105W2D
Alternated launches, light launch for meteo (alternated between death triangle and stationary), flat launch hard for cosmic
Cosmic: 8 wins (5 KO, 3 OS)
Meteo: 2 wins (2 KO)
Cosmic Win Rate: 80%
If Meteo ever stayed in, it would have won by OS. Unfortunately, power launching Cosmic means one of them is exiting the stadium, usually Meteo. If you're unlucky with wall saves though, it's entirely possible your Cosmic uses Meteo as a launch pad to jump out of the stadium itself.

Cosmic Pegasis TH170RB (170) vs Flame Cancer 230CS
Flame launched first, both flat launched hard
Cosmic: 7 wins (7 KO)
Flame: 3 wins (3 OS)
Cosmic Win Rate: 70%
You need to clean your RB between rounds here and launch extremely hard. I suspect RSF or RF would make this matchup wayyyy easier. 195 and 220 height both suck at this matchup for some reason, sadly.

vs Attack

Cosmic Pegasis TH170RB (220) vs Screw Susanow 85RF
Cosmic launched first, flat, Screw launched into instant flower
Cosmic: 8 wins (8 OS)
Screw: 2 wins (2 KO)
Cosmic Win Rate: 80%
I'm kinda shocked? I thought Screw would eat it alive here, but it's just barely tall enough and stable enough to where Screw doesn't ever really get to cream the metal wheel and send it flying. I think this is one of those matchups where the slightest screw-up from the Cosmic player could flip the matchup on its' head though.

Cosmic Pegasis TH170RB (220) vs Lightning L. Drago 85RF
Cosmic launched first, flat, Lightning launched into delayed flower
Cosmic: 9 wins (8 OS)
Screw: 1 wins (1 KO)
Cosmic Win Rate: 90%
Yeowch. It kinda sucks.

I do not feel like breaking my TH170 testing vs mid height attack. Just uh, refer to Dan's vid on the Pegasis version of this combo and how that fares vs something like my signature custom, MF-H Screw Susanow CH120RF.

vs Balance

Cosmic Pegasis TH170RB (170) vs Gravity Perseus (Defense) CH120MF (120, Left)
Alternated launches, flat launch for gravity, tilt launch for cosmic
Cosmic: 3 wins (3 KO)
Gravity: 7 wins (5 KO, 2 OS)
Cosmic Win Rate: 30%
No surprises here - even if Cosmic doesn't get KO'd, Gravity stalls Cosmic out or equalizes it to death easily.

Cosmic Pegasis TH170RB (170) vs Burn Pegasis CH120MF (120)
Alternated launches, flat launch for Burn, tilt launch for Cosmic
Cosmic: 1 win (1 KO)
Burn: 9 wins (6 OS, 3 KO)
Cosmic Win Rate: 10%
Also not particularly surprised. Burn stallers are a nightmare for tall combos.

vs THE LEGENDARY 20XX

Cosmic Pegasis TH170RB (220) vs Gravity Perseus (Defense) 85RF (Left)
Alternated launches, flat launch for both
Cosmic: 4 wins (4 OS)
Gravity: 5 wins (5 OS)
1 draw (double OS)
Cosmic Win Rate: 40%
It does much better into this than I thought it would? I assumed it would just get clobbered, but it seems like similar to when it's dealing with low Screw, RB helping it stay upright makes it difficult for Gravity to equalize with it as consistency as I would hope it would in this matchup, or make the necessary contact to KO.

In Conclusion:
Is it meta? No. Is it relevant? I would say so - this is an extremely easy combo to accidentally have your entire deck lose to. I might pull it out in 1st stage 3on3 or deck into people who run gimmick decks. That said, this is itself only really functional at the core of a gimmick deck.

This is my attempt in making a Beyblade combo that is somewhat decent. Nightmare Gasher T125MB is a Balance Type that intends to be a Jack of All Trades, with the Nightmare wheel's Weight and Recoil giving it attack and Defense, and it's Metal Ball giving it a Metal Flat with more Stamina built in. In the end, I would like to try and make a viable Attack/Defense combo that utilises Gasher, but it's quite difficult.

I'm limited in my parts, so I struggled to make good beyblades to test them against, although, I was able to create a Bootleg version of one of the Defense Types listed in the Locked Thread; MF-H Bakushin Leone 90RSF. I do not own a MF-H, and my 90 has disappeared, so I had to substitute with a regular Face-Bolt and a 100 Spin Track.
Nightmare Gasher T125MB VS Bakushin Leone 100RSF.
1 (Leone first): Gasher Victory
2 (Leone First): Gasher Victory
5 (Leone First): Gasher Victory
7 (Gasher First): Gasher Victory
8 (Gasher First): Gasher Victory
9: (Gasher First): Gasher Victory
10 (Gasher First): Gasher Victory.

Complete domination just by overwhelming the Leone beyblade, with all of the battles ending via sleep-out. I have noted though that most of the battles happening seem to have one thing in common. Gasher was repeatedly throwing itself into Leone, which barely budged. This should of ended Gasher, but it somehow pulled through in all of it's matches.

A secondary test with a semi-decent attack type will be made as well, Screw Byxis 100RF. Of course, as I have no stadiums with large pockets, I'm unsure if these tests are worth anything. Unlike the first 10 with Leone, Byxis will always be launched second.
1: Gasher (Sleep Out.)
2: Byxis (Stadium Out.)
3: Gasher (Sleep Out.)
4: Gasher (Sleep Out.)
5: Gasher (Sleep Out.)
6: Gasher (Stadium Out via recoil from Screw sending itself upwards)
7: Gasher (Sleep Out.)
8: Gasher (Sleep Out.)
9: Gasher (Sleep Out.)
10: Gasher (Sleep Out.)

As said before, the stadium definitely mattered the most for these battles. If it was a BB10, A lot more of these would of ended with Byxis winning, as Gasher was almost knocked over the shallow walls almost every other match, with it actually getting launched in one match. The recoil of Nightmare is definitely proving itself to be problematic. To satiate my curiosity a bit, I swapped the RF for a MF and did 5 extra battles:
1: Gasher (Sleep Out.)
2: Gasher (Sleep Out.)
3: Byxis (Stadium Out.)
4: Gasher (Sleep Out.)
5: Gasher (Sleep Out.)

In this testing, it was definitely lasting a lot longer, with the attacks being much weaker, but the recoil was about the same. In the last match, Gasher was barely holding on with stamina, as it was hit with a barrage of attacks.

Personally, I feel that Nightmare Gasher T125MB has some slight potential for me, but it's definitely only because I am a Budget Blader who doesn't own many parts for testing.

Attack Hasscythe Type Combination:

MF Has scythe Cetus CH120 RF
Bakushin Leone 100 RSF
Matches: 10
Winner: Hascythe (90%)
Analysis: as you can see, Hasbro Scythe only lost one time, which clearly means that there’s a chance that bakushin can reverse the matchup. So we should totally bring it back 🤡
I would test more, but uh my stadium blew away from the wind, hopefully this shines a light on how the format has changed.

Mf-L Burn Cetus/Gemios 230 EDS/SD

The point of this combo is to act like a standard 230 stamina combo against opponents where it can beat it just by outspinning, but against combos that it's screwed against trying to do that (B, TH170 stamina, mid-tall destabilizers) you launch it at a steep angle so it rides on the edge of the performance tip to move aggressively and attack with the energy ring and burn's bumps (here on refereed to as "attack mode").

Some unanswered questions i have regarding this combo:
-Should this combo just straight up use a heavy metal face to minimize recoil when in attack mode or stick with light to retain better stamina
-Would any other performance tips work with this combo? I'm mainly curious about metal ball but I do not own that, if anyone has any insight on that it would be appreciated
-Would any other energy rings work with this? i dont think scorpio would work given that the slope is more shallow than that of cetus or gemios, but perhaps theres one im unaware of that has a similarly steep slope
-dare i say, would any different fusion wheels work for this sort of technique, this is already janky as heck so i wouldnt be shocked if some normally bad fusion wheel ended up being good with it

Since the previous v1.5 ban list update was announced where both Metal Fury Scythe and Dark Knight were banned and Gravity was unbanned, Gravity has seen prominent use in several different types of customs, making Dark Knight's similar versatility a much diminished threat. As well, the removal of the last two wheels which helped to keep 230 height combos at bay made those combos far too safe of a pick in first stage. Additionally, Dark Knight's versatility is simply not as huge of a threat as it once was, with far fewer targets for it to equalize against and outspin as Bakushin has risen to prominence. As a result of these two matchup interactions, it is now one of the specialized attack types that it once threatened, making it eligible for an unban.

Given that meteo l drago is generally preferred over L drago destructor i was ruminating over if theres any combo that may give hasbro l drago destructor an actual use which made me consider the following combo

{MF(-H/-L)} L drago destructor 160/lw160 ewd/w2d

however as i do not own a 160 height track i cant test this myself but based on what i know about 160 and l drago destructor's contact points heres my theory

-l drago destructor has its rubber points lower than those on meteo l drago so a higher height to expose those points may be desirable
-160 height could allow it to evade attacks from some low track attackers and win by outspinning
-it would probably just spinsteal normally against any mid height bey the same way meteo would
-the height may allow it to destabilize 230combos due to destructor's shape

would anyone be willing to offer insight on this concept and/or test it out?

I have been sifting through the forums for some time now and I noticed the banned list this had me have to rework two of my Beys I used as personals so I could be playing with my friends fairly. My Beys were L Drago Destructor S130LRF and Leviathan Dragoon SA165W2D I saw 4Ds were banned EXCLUDING Jade and both Synchrome Bey combos and SA165 were banned so I had stopped using em and even turned Dragoon into Gladiator Dragoon S145W2D. Are the Synchrome Beys and all 4Ds (minus Jade) still banned in standard or limited for the Metal era/saga?.

So i was comparing Flame and Forbidden because of their simlar looks and noticed Forbidden might be a lot worse in stamina and defense than Flame, but has incredible amounts of recoil.

Then i tried using Forbidden as an attack wheel and it proved to be one of the best low attacking wheels i've had so far,
It was able to stop a Gravity Perseus DF145 WD in about 3 hits. At one point it even shot it straight out of the stadium.

The combo is
Forbidden, Byxis/Scorpio, 85, RF/F/SF/XF/RSF
(RF/RSF (more grip) is great here since otherwise it tends to knock itself away but XF is a great alternative if you have to go extra low)

I only have a closed stadium but with a rubber tip, this thing knocks out a lot of other beys out even outside of the closed stadium.
I'm using the super vortex stadium (mfb)

I wonder. Does anyone even have forbidden?

Bull is very heavy, forbidden can give good hits, 90 helps the combo to stay low and mf is a multi-purpose tip who gives nice speed and stamina, finally the metal face bolt improves the stability of a combo who involves metal flat. That's very useful. What are your thoughts?
Thanks for reading, have a nice day!

Some KO’s were caused by Horogium recoil, counter attacks from CS aggressive movement.
If Rock Bull moves too early, it may lose a lot of Stamina and be defeated by Attack Types equipped with HF or MF.
But most of the time, Bull can beat Beyblade launched with Sliding Shot with a Tornado Stall, thanks to CS.
To summer up, CS can help the Beyblade to remain in the stadium against Medium/High Tracks Attackers as the opponent Wheel is not able to reach Rock gaps.
However, powerful Wheels such as Lightning and Gravity could use their large surface to knock Bull out with Smash Attacks.
If you have other suggestions of metal Wheels or other improvements for this LTDC, feel free to reply!!
