1D is a small single chassis designed for use with disks to compensate for the lower weight it has than the much heavier double chassis.
Unlike the heavier 1S, it has tall teeth increasing its burst resistance.
Its class as the lightest chassis at the time of writing makes it heavily outclassed, and its use with disks cannot compensate for its crippling light weight.
The only reason to use this over a much better chassis is if the burst risk from the previous chassis outweighs the fact it is so light.

Overall
1D would be a very useful part due to its great burst resistance, but it's very light weight holds it back and holds back almost every combo it is in.
Additionally, because the rubber extends to the underside of the Disc, which when combined with Zenith's rough perimeter, nullifies any Life-After-Death potential. Finally, because much of Zenith's construction is plastic, the Disc has a Centralized-Weight-Distribution and is light weight which slows Mobile combinations, reduces Attack potential, creates poor spin retention and spin times and makes combinations highly vulnerable to Knock-Outs.
Evolution features a rubber tip, made up of two sets of rubber spikes, that begins at a taller than average height. The spikes are meant to wear down and break off with use so, unlike most other rubber tips and like its predecessor Variable, Evolution will become more aggressive instead of less aggressive over time.

When launched in mint condition the first set of six spikes will create a mildly aggressive pattern at speeds akin to Blow, albeit without the Stamina due to the greater friction the rubber has. While Evolution's taller height would, in theory, increase the rate of Disc-to-Layer contact and Burst the opponent, due to the height of most Layers and the minimal difference in height, such contact is rare. Furthermore, most Attack Type combinations benefit from a shorter height as a taller height creates a destabilization risk instead. Due to how tall the first six teeth are and the somewhat brittle nature of the rubber in the Takara Tomy release, the first set of teeth will break off relatively quickly.

When launched after the first set of teeth have given way to the second set of fourteen spikes, Evolution's speed increases remarkably, becoming as fast or even faster than Xtreme, due to the now increased surface area and diameter. However, that same speed and diameter increase makes Evolution incredibly difficult to control at this stage as banking is difficult to maintain, Self-Knock-Outs become common and its Stamina worsens. Due to the greater number of spikes and their shorter length, Evolution does not wear out as quickly at this stage. Of the stages, this stage of Evolution is considered the best.

When the second set of spikes break off, what's left is a solid base of rubber. At this point Evolution's speed increases further but the aforementioned control and Stamina issues become even worse, having trouble even staying on the Tornado Ridge of the stadium and losing spin too quickly to perform any meaningful attacks before it begins to slow down.

When Evolution loses spikes, it does become shorter as a result. However because Evolution starts above the standard height, the height reduction only brings the Tip back down to standard height. However, due to the wide base, Evolution has relatively high Life-After-Death when worn down, making it a somewhat safer choice against Spin-Equalization combinations.

==Overall==
Despite, or rather, because of being an upgrade to Variable, Evolution is generally outclassed for competitive use due to its similar lack of control and Stamina. Vise Leopard is an Attack Type Layer that features a leopard head on either side, meant to represent this Layer's Japanese namesake; the Leopard, each lined with red "teeth". As part of the Super Z Layer System, Vise Leopard features metal in its design, in this case; the leopard heads are made of metal. The inclusion of Metal makes Vise Leopard heavier than most God/Switch Strike Layers. Vise Leopard also features a gimmick; the top half of the Layer is spring loaded for it to "bite" onto the opponent.

Theoretically, the opponent's Layer would slip into the gap in the perimeter of Vise Leopard and become caught on the red "teeth", which are made of rubberized plastic, stopping the opponent's Layer and creating Burst Attack potential. In practice however, the gap in Vise Leopard is too small for any Layer's protrusions to be caught in, the teeth are two small to grip into the opponent's Layer and the spring used in the gimmick is too strong to move up during impact. As such, Vise Leopard features poor recoil, making it ill-suited for Attack Type combinations. However, the three strong teeth and fairly round shape of the Layer can create moderate Defense potential.

==Overall==
Vise Leopard, while fairly heavy, features too little recoil and a non-functioning gimmick, making it ill-suited for Attack Type combinations. While the Layer exhibits Defense Potential from its strong teeth and shape, it remains heavily outclassed by Archer Hercules and Revive Phoenix.

As such, Vise Leopard is recommended for collection purposes only.

Quote:==Description==
Buster Xcalibur, like its predecessors, is an Attack Type Energy Layer based on the legendary sword Excalibur that features a large sword running down the length of the layer, the end of which protrudes from the bottom which acts as the primary point of contact. Unlike previous Xcalibur Layers such as Sieg Xcalibur and Xeno Xcalibur, Buster Xcalibur's contact point is very pronounced which creates heavy recoil. As part of the Super Z Layer System, Buster Xcalibur features metal in its design. in this case, the sword is made of metal, akin to its predecessor Sieg Xcalibur. However the tip of the sword is covered in plastic, to reduce the possibility of breaking the opponent's Layer. Buster Xcalibur also features a gimmick, the sword can extend further from the rest of the Layer.

The inclusion of metal increases the weight of the Layer, granting higher inertia that increases both Knock-Out and Burst Attack as well as increasing the Layer's Burst resistance as the high inertia resists teeth skipping, a property that compliments the tall teeth of the Japanese release. However the asymmetrical design of the metal sword means that this Layer is incredibly unbalanced, a trait that drains the Stamina of combinations and can break a combination's banking pattern.

Due to the nature of the gimmick, the recoil of Buster Xcalibur can be adjusted by either retracting or extending the sword, the latter of which also exposes the slot for a Level Chip. However, due to the Layer's design and purpose, it is recommended to have the sword fully extended. Like other Super Z Layers, Buster Xcalibur is unbalanced which increases Burst risk and drains Stamina. However, these issues can be solved with the use of a Level Chip that fits underneath the Layer.

==Use in Attack Combinations==
Buster Xcalibur can be used in the Attack Combination Buster Xcalibur 0/1/1'/7/10 Bump/Meteor/Star/Cross/Glaive Xtreme/Xtreme'/Jolt/Atomic/Trans/Needle. The heavy weight of 0/1/1'/7/10 Bump/Meteor bolsters Buster Xcalibur's Burst potential while the Layer's strong teeth and weight can compensate for the increased Burst risk. Xtreme/Xtreme' makes the combination a Mobile Attack Type and its high speed further increases Burst potential while its friction can reduce the risk of banking pattern loss by Buster Xcalibur's unbalanced nature. Atomic makes the combination a Stationary Attack Type and its stability and Stamina can off set the low Stamina posed by Buster Xcalibur's unbalanced nature while Atomic's free spinning ring and the Cross/Glaive/Star Frame adds Life-After-Death which can allow the combination to potentially out spin the opponent if a Burst is not achieved. Trans is capable of performing both tasks but at the cost of possible pattern loss in Attack Mode and stability and Stamina loss in Stamina mode. Needle can improve Attack potential early in battle with it's movement and its tabs and studs improves recoil control.

==Overall==
Buster Xcalibur features a recoil heavy design, heavy weight and strong teeth making it a top-tier Energy Layer for attack combinations. While the unbalanced design is liable to throwing off a combination's banking pattern and reducing stamina, its high Burst potential makes it on par with, if not greater than Winning Valkyrie.

As such, Buster Xcalibur is a must have for competitive bladers.

==Overall==

Quote:==Description==
Hunter', like its predecessor Hunter, features a flat rubber tip with a circular depression in the center that sits at the standard height.

The surface area to friction ratio of Hunter' creates a moderately aggressive, easy to control in a Banking Shoot, movement pattern. In terms of speed, Hunter' is faster than Accel and Zephyr but slower than Xtreme, Hold and a worn Variable. Hunter''s speed allows for strong attacks and its high friction creates less chances of losing the Banking Pattern in battle which would make it an excellent choice for Attack combinations.

However, Hunter' has three major weaknesses. First the high friction of the rubber means that Hunter' has incredibly low stamina, which when combined with the light weight of the Burst System compared to previous Systems means that there is less inertia, exacerbating the stamina issue further. Secondly, Hunter' will wear down with use, decreasing its aggression with little to no improvement to the tip's stamina, meaning that multiple copies much be purchased in order to replace worn ones. Finally, even when in mint condition, the small surface area means that Hunter' will settle to the center incredibly quickly, too quickly for attack combinations, however, when paired with parts with high Outward-Weight-Distribution, this weakness does not apply. While Hunter' features high Knock-Out resistance when settled, higher than Defense or Bite, its Stamina is too low for it to be viable.

Unlike its predecessor, Hunter' features a much thicker spring in its locking mechanism, increasing Hunter''s Burst resistance and solves a weakness featured in its predecessor.

==Overall==
Hunter features great control but is plagued by low stamina and higher Burst risks. Other Performance Tips are able to match or overtake Hunter's best traits while also improving on its weaknesses; Xtreme gives greater speed with comparable control and Accel gives comparable control with greater stamina. However, when paired with parts with high Outward-Weight-Distribution, Hunter' can be an excellent Xtreme alternative.

As such, Hunter' is a welcome addition to any blader's collection.
