While unofficial tournaments (aka most tournaments) don't do this, all official tournaments BAN Ratchet-swapping for the sole reason of using "too tight" Ratchets or unreleased ratchets (9-50, 8-60, etc) on your combo.

While I understand the concern about those, the only reasons people do it for are:

  1. Color-maxxing (Adjusting ratchet colors to fit the combo) {Someone is going on a Red Ratchets Only arc too}
  2. Attaining extremely rare ratchets without having to deal with scalped price tags (1-70 and 8-80 to be precise)
As to solve this issue, the idea is INSANELY simple, and comes in two simple steps.
  • Step 1: Observe the ratchet. (Does it fit with standard ratchets? If so, move on to step 2. If not, then the blader in question can either call forfeit or switch the ratchet to an equivalent)
  • Step 2: Test the ratchet by taking out the bit and switching it from left lock to right lock and back {right to left and back if on Cobalt or Meteor Dragoon} (If it's too strong of a click, then the blader in question can either call forfeit or switch to a legal version of said ratchet.)
It's THAT SIMPLE. If need be, we could adjust this ruleset to be stricter or a bit more lax.

  • Emperor Rage Flow Wheel 9-60 Free Ball-Toy around with the bit. I like FB, but Hexa, Wall Ball, and Low Orb can get the job done-find what works for you. (NOTE-Plays like previous bey, almost like an evolution.)
  • Phoenix Wing 3-60/1-60 Rush-I know, most people know this combo. It still works very well, and is on the more affordable side.
  • Hover Wyvern 7-70 Level-plays similarly to Wyvern on 9-60 Kick, but optimized a little more.
  • Hell's Hammer 1-60 Gear Flat-Outclassed a little, but if you launch hard enough, it obliterates your opponent.
  • Cobalt Dragoon 5-60 Yielding-Plays just like Cobalt on Elevate, but Yield has more LAD
