sorry if im being dumb, but how do they burst? is it just a thing in the show? or do they really spin 360? also im really sorry if this is wrong forum or something.

Once the center of apocalypse turns red, and the contact point on the sword gets hit, then it will burst.
For genesis, same thing except on both sides I think.
