you best/fav pokemon team!!! - lewis - May. 14, 2010 post you best or fav pokemon team out of all the games mine is: typhlosion=fire charizard=fire/flying marshtomp=water/ground lapras=water/ice eevee=normal umbreon=dark so whats yours? RE: you best/fav pokemon team!!! - A' - May. 14, 2010 Thank you for asking. I've alway's wanted to test out a team like this: Infernape Luxray Gyarados Typhlosion Marill(All of you would consider me weird for this) Raichu (As seen, there are water types, Electric and Fire, with fire dominating. I honestly myself aren't that interested in uber pokemon. I just came up with this team because its one of my favourite pokemon from different teams of mine, and I'd want to see what it'd be like combined.) Snorlax is one of the best pokemon around. He has about 500HP and can heal himself entirely. So if you have this build on him ice beam, rest, hyper beam, fire blast you can use it as your first pokemon and I don't think there is a type that can go unharmed. Just like parts harmony in beyblade, pokemon teams should work together using not only type coverage, but synchronicity. The only synchronicity and overall tactic in pokemon games is the type coverage. RE: you best/fav pokemon team!!! - lewis - May. 18, 2010 lol maby in 2vs2 match you might need a little team work(helping handXD)but still not meny of them happen ![]() but yea im getting HG/SS today so ho-oh or lugia here i come(i already have all the legends from all the games tho ![]() RE: you best/fav pokemon team!!! - Serotonin - May. 18, 2010 (May. 18, 2010 12:46 PM)King Tom Wrote:(May. 18, 2010 4:54 AM)Cye Kinomiya Wrote: For the current metagame these teams are pretty awful. LOL what seriously, if you think the only tactic in Pokemon is type coverage you pretty much know nothing about Pokemon, and have no right to be so hostile to another member RE: you best/fav pokemon team!!! - King Tom - May. 18, 2010 (May. 18, 2010 3:26 PM)♥ Wrote:(May. 18, 2010 12:46 PM)King Tom Wrote:(May. 18, 2010 4:54 AM)Cye Kinomiya Wrote: For the current metagame these teams are pretty awful. I annihilated that game for a long time, so I do think I have the necessary qualifications. Haven't played HR/SS though but there is nothing new there, only estetic. RE: you best/fav pokemon team!!! - Serotonin - May. 18, 2010 The game isn't all about beating ingame AI; in fact, that's one of the easiest things to do. I called you out because it's ignorant to call Pokemon a "simple game" without having seen competitive online play. This is like saying, "Chess is a simple game and there is nothing more to it than simple tactics, because i beat it on iphone". I think "What the hell are you talking about" constitutes as hostility. RE: you best/fav pokemon team!!! - lewis - May. 18, 2010 ♥'s got a point. right now im owning on heartgold aginst the A.I but try playing aginst a real person and its alot harder(and tones more fun ![]() RE: you best/fav pokemon team!!! - King Tom - May. 18, 2010 (May. 18, 2010 5:44 PM)♥ Wrote: The game isn't all about beating ingame AI; in fact, that's one of the easiest things to do. It's hostile if said in a sharp tone. Unfortunately for me my tone couldn't be heard. I've beaten many people with the team I listed here via the cable for gameboy ergo I've fought people, I'm not so young. I simply use "working team" instead of a "cute team" or a "favorite team". The Pokemon game is simple. You train a certain number of pokemon, collect the badges, win the League, and if you're still up to it you can collect all of the pokemon. The PvP play has very small room for improvisation. Two people chose a team of 6. They battle 1 on 1 or 2 on 2. The only thing that can secure a victory here is the type advantage. Of course you'll have pokemon on steroids when going PvP, all stats maxed out, hp and ap maxed out etc. Snorlax gives you monstrous advantage and takes out at least 1 of your opponent's pokemon before the battle turns into a big pokemon switching dance. I don't know maybe they invented some "stronger when happy" stat in these new games, I didn't get the chance to play them yet. There are more good teams, I'm not saying my team is the most ultimate. To me the game started to get annoying after the gold/silver. Now there are almost 500 pokemon and the game lost it's charm with all the PC emulators. I've started playing pokemon soon after it got out on the market and spent several years leaning over my gameboy mashing the buttons. I may be old school but I know some things about the game. RE: you best/fav pokemon team!!! - lewis - May. 19, 2010 ok back on topic ♥ do you have a fav pokemon team? Check here: http://www.smogon.com. A lot has chanced since the broken RBY days and competitive pokémon is most definitely not simple. There's also the Battle Frontier in-game, which is quite challenging and requires a lot of knowledge about its different facilities to do well in it (holy carp at that BT record). With that said, a favorite team doesn't need to be competitive, it's just a favorite team probably comprised of the pokémon you like best. "Best team" on the other hand...I guess we could just post both favorite and best competitive teams, right guys? If that's the case then a dewgong an beat any dragon pokemon there is. This is obviously not the case because all the prominent dragon types are faster than dewgong and can kill it in one shot. It's like saying that Draciel F can beat any attack type because it's a defense type.
