Over top of a large crowd of people there is a disturbance in the air.

"Look at all of those humans down there."

"What do you wish me to see?"

"What are they doing?"

The wind shifts lower over the crowd.

"It appears they are partaking in a Beyblade battle."

"Is that the game where people battle tops against each other?"

"Yes, young master. I feel however, that I must point out that some humans have the folly to believe that Beyblades are far more than just a game."

"I think that it looks like fun! I wish I could join them!"

The wind dips down lower stirring the air over the spectators heads.

"Now, now. We must stay further up. It would not do to get too close to the earth."

"Do only the humans here play Beyblades?"

No, I am told that humans all over the world are involved in this pastime. Some I have heard, even travel the world to battle others."

"Wouldn't it be amazing to be able to travel all over the world seeing everything and learning more about humans?"

"Ah, young master, you can already travel anywhere on Earth you want."

The wind swirls with agitation.

"I've told you before not to call me that."

"I apologi-"

"I can travel the Earth but, only for two days every year."

"Well... There is nothing we can do about that."

"I know, I know, only two days a year or we disperse."

"That is correc-"

"Is it true though, that spirits can bind themselves to objects in the Humans world, and therefore stay in this world?"

"That I cannot say."

"Cannot or will not? I know my parents have something they are hiding from me about this world. Do you know what it is?"

"Very well, I may not tell you the answers to those questions that is between you and your parents."

"Not even a hint?"

"Now that I ponder it. We have been in this world for almost 36 hours now. We must be returning if we are to return before your mothers' curfew."

"You're ignoring me Milos."

"I am, youngster."

The wind begins to rise higher and higher.

"I am going to learn more about Beyblades at home Milos. I will return, and I will be staying if it is possible."

"Very well"

The wind vanishes suddenly, leaving some of the crowd wondering about where the breeze had gone.

A spirit enters a room and heads toward two other spirits. One reading and the other resting.

"Mother, Father. I would like to talk to you."

"What is bothering you?" asks his mother, queen Titania.

"It is about my request to go to the human world."

King Oberon pops up.

"You're not still going on about that nonsense are you son?"

The younger spirit draws himself up

"Yes, I want to go to the human world. I've done the research and I know exactly how to do it."

"It's only been ten years. Are you sure you shouldn't wait a few more decades?"

"Mother, I'm 165 years old I think that I am old enough to handle it."

"It's nonsense son. You know as well as I do that your place is here. Once I pass away you will be the new Oberon, King of the air."

"Father you probably have at least another ten centuries before you pass away. You can't keep me here, trapped, until then."

"It's not safe there for a spirit like us. Won't you please consider staying." Titania pleads

"I want to see the world, dangers and all, before I settle down here."

"Very well, I will allow you to go to the humans world on a few conditions."

"Yes?"

"One, you only have your two days this year to make arrangements, otherwise you come home and forget this nonsense.

Two, you must check in with me and your mother several times a year.

Three, if I should pass you will return immediately."

"Fair enough. May I leave to prepare?"

"You are dismissed"

The young spirit turns and leaves the room. As the door closes behind him he hears his parents talking."

"...What if the same thing happens to him?" His mother says

"We will just have to hope for the best my dear."

Milos approaches from down the hall.

"Did it go well young master?"

"Don't call me that. Yes, it went better than I expected. My mother seemed rather more worried than I expected however."

"Ah."

"Ah? What do you mean by that?"

"She is worried, because of what happened to your brother."

"What did happen to him?"

"Fifty years before you were born, your brother decided to travel to the human world."

"What happened?"

"One day an Earth spirit tore through his connection to the world of Air. Your brother was dispersed immediately, and the current battle against the Earth was started."

"That won't happen to me."

"Oh, and how do you plan to stay in the human world, young master?"

"I found that there is a way for spirits to bind themselves to a Beyblade. Like the one we saw ten years ago. While bound you can help the human battle against other Beyblades and spirits."

"No spirit is going to battle against the crown prince of Air."

"Others have already thought of that. You see, humans have made up all kind of strange creatures. What most Beyblading Spirits, or Bit Beasts as they call themselves, change their form to match one of these creatures. That way no other spirit knows who they are while battling."

'It sounds like you have everything planned out. Do you think you can do it in the two days allotted."

"Yes. You see, a large tournament for Beybladers starts tomorrow. I plan to be there."

The wind is swirling over one of the largest Beyblade tournaments around.

"Any luck so far, young master?"

"Not yet. Either the bladers are really awful or I sense they already have spirits with them."

"You only have one day left."

"I know, there's just one more battle at this tournament then we can move on."

Just then a voice rises over the crowd.

"And now the battle you've all been waiting for... The Nexa Blader Finals!"

Four bladers walk towards the stadium.

"Look, these are the final bladers. They scored the most points during qualifying."

"Then these are the best this tournament has to offer?"

"I think so, I don't quite get how it works. That girl there, lost several times during the qualifying rounds. If anyone here is likely to lose it's her."

"Just because someone loses doesn't make them any less a winner, young master."

"Pardon?"

"It's an old saying. Just because someone loses a few times, it doesn't mean that they are a loser. They just have not gotten their chance to shine."

"I guess, I haven't paid much attention to her honestly."

"Are you ready folks? The Bladers are prepared to start. Say it with me!"

3, 2, 1, GO SHOOT!

The Bladers launch.

The blader on the left calls out.

"C'mon let's get her!"

The bladers on the top and bottom sides of the stadium nod.

"Go team Rust Blades special move Spinning Defender Shield!"

The other two Beyblades begin circling the leaders Bey.

"Look at this folks what an unexpected twist to our final battle!"

"What do we have here?"

"It looks like they were a pre-existing team."

"Is that allowed!?"

"It's allowed but, not encouraged. This tournument is mainly just for fun. The girl really has no chance of winning now."

The leader calls to the girl across from him.

"How d'ya like that? My teammates Defenders make a unbreakable shield. There's no way for you to even touch my Endurer!"

"Oh yeah? Go Attacker!"

Attacker charges the group of Beyblades."

Crack!

Attacker is thrown away by one of the circling Defenders.

"My guess is that is not the ideal outcome, young master?

"No."

"Go Attacker!"

Crack!

"Again!"

Crack!

"What did I tell you? Team Rust Blades can't be beaten!"

"At this point Milos she is going to run out of stamina."

"That's bad?"

"If her Bey stops spinning first she loses."

The girl appears to be thinking.

"Attacker, Hold!"

Her Beyblade stops and spins in place.

"What are you doing?"

The wind drops lower.

The girl straightens.

"Attacker special move, Edge Clipper!"

Her Beyblade charges the penalty pocket.

"Have you decided to take the easy way out? Sacrificing yourself in the pocket?" The leader laughs.

Crack!

Attacker clips the edge wall of the pocket and flies into the defender ring.

Crack!

One of the Defenders is knocked flying, as the other one knocks Attacker back again.

"Awesome! Did you see that? She attacked the edge of the stadium, letting the recoil increase the speed and power of her attack!"

"Wha..."

"Again Attacker!"

Crack!

"We're down to the final two bladers folks! Who will pull off the win?"

"I can't even imagine the calculations that must have gone into the speed and angle to attack at."

The Leader of the team Rust Blades looks panicked

"Team Rust Blades technique, Run to Endure Another Day!"

Endurer begins to circle the stadium.

"Not a very catchy name."

"My guess is he made it up on the spot, young master."

"Attacker follow!"

The Beyblades begin circling the stadium. Attacker falls further behind on every orbit."

"Interesting, As an attack Bey you should be faster than my Endurer. Unless..."

"What is happening?"

"All of the hits Attacker took drained it's stamina. It's weaker than it needs to be."

"Endurer special move, Unendurable Grind."

Endurer stops and allows Attacker to catch up.

The Beyblades begin to grind. Finally Attacker topples.

"Yeah! That's the power of team Rust Blades!"

The girl slumps.

"Aww."

"Let's hear it for the winner and runner-up in the Nexa tournament."

"It looks like I have my blader after all."

"The boy in the center?"

"No! That girl, her attack strategy was genius! Follow her!"

"As you wish, young master."

The wind swirls and follows the girl who is exiting down an alleyway.

The wind is following the girl down the alleyways in town.

"Hey, Milos why are the other bladers following her too?"

"Perhaps young master, they wish to offer their congratulations after a hard fought..."

"Hey, You!"

The girl turns around to face the approaching bladers.

"Yes?"

"You've got something of ours!" The leader calls

"Yeah, 20,000 somethings of ours!" One of the followers chimes in

"What?"

"You weren't supposed to come in second. The Rust Blades gang had plans for those Beypoints you've got there."

"I won these Beypoints fair and square! Anyway there's only 10,000 for second place."

"Nu-uh. A special donor doubled the prizes this year. So now, we're gonna steal them fair and square!"

The Bladers prepare to launch.

"Not so fast!"

The Bladers look up. There on the balcony of an abandoned building is another blader.

One of the Rust Blades turns and runs.

"It's Fraust!" The remaining lackey yells

"Scram! This is Rust Blade turf!"

"Ah, Sean as belligerent as always."

The girl looks between the two in confusion, her launcher ready for action.

"This is actually included in the Face Hunter territory."

"Since when!?"

Fraust drops to the ground.

"Around the time that a certain loudmouth came and started shouting to the world about 20,000 Beypoints."

"We'll fight you for them!"

"As you wish."

"Go Endurer!" "Go Defender!" "Go Balancer!"

"Rust Blades technique, Defense Smash!"

Defender swings around Endurer and shoots at Balancer.

SMASH!

One of the nearby walls cracks sending up dirt as the Beyblade flys into it.

"Not so high and mighty now, are you Fraust!"

The dirt cloud breaks as a Beyblade comes flying out.

Crack! Swish!

Endurer parts Sean's hair as it passes.

"I think that Balancer and I are feeling just fine."

Sean and Lackey grab their Beyblades and run.

"The boss is going to hear about this!" Sean yells over his shoulder.

"I don't doubt it" Fraust mutters

The girl steps forward from where she was watching.

"That was incredible! Thanks!"

Fraust grabs Balancer as it returns.

"Were you not listening? The only difference in your situation now, as compared to before, is that I will be taking your points for the Face Hunters."

"Then, let's get to the battle."

"First your name. I make a point of knowing the people I battle."

"My name is Maya"

"Very well, Let us begin Maya."

They prepare to launch.

"Well Milos, I guess that's my cue. Down I go!"
