snoc it's probably just going to be similar to Imperial Dragon's awakening gimmick, not this Stealth Battlers gimmick that you're thinking about.

Yeah the blades will work like imperials, but they do pop out before they can do anything. There’s photos of the blades in and out, and the Corocoro confirms this.

In all honesty the gimmick most likely is just the blades coming out in the first place. Nothing special. I want it to be something more, but TT seems to be hitting the end of their stride lately, just doing "enough" I guess.

Nah, I think they're more like Regulus or Hercules. Pop out at high speeds and retract at low speed.

So what exactly does awakening gimmick mean in this case? Is it a one time awakening like parts such as variable, evolution and imperial or is this something that can happen multiple times?

If you can't see it

right-spinning  ring that flips the opponent with four large and small bounding blades, and is fixed when the bounding blades move to the maximum and becomes awake mode.
