Essentially, I'm looking for a co-writer or two, so I don't have to write all the chapters, thus making it easier for me to finish my part of the job. Also, I feel like the first chapter needs to be heavily edited, so I've been working on that instead of finishing the rest. So ig this is a plea for help, as not only that I'd like to have other writing styles in there, cuz I don't normally write in the tone in which I'm writing this story, especially since this one is a bit dark, but because of the forum, I'm trying to keep it as light as possible, resulting in some weird language choices lol. so if anyone is interested, dm me, and ill send the word doc over and we can brainstorm ideas and stuff. .
I *could* help with that but I'm already with 3 on my back, with only 1 of these being totally mine. So I guess I'm going to politely say no.
Btw, you could use a thread for all your fics instead of throw away threads, that way you can keep things a bit cleaner.
About the fics itself, maybe try planning out (and script maybe) the whole plot before releasing the fic? That way if it fails you can just not post it and nobody will know.

Lui is indignant at your ignorance.
Jokes aside though, it's not a bad plot twist if you have enough room to continue the plot after the protagonist's defeat, and are committed to keep the focus on the (mostly) same cast of characters. Burst God did exactly that and it turned out well, though repeat it too many times and it loses meaning/becomes a meme like in Pokémon. It's your choice, and it adds a bit of realism to your protagonist, where just because they're putting their all into winning doesn't mean they get to actually win.

Random Question, What do you think makes a bad OC?

One that is just lifeless.
Examples of this are the following
1. No actual personality, just a generic "Wants to be the best" OC or something along those lines. In all honesty this is fine but i feel OC's need more than just that to be apart of their character, we've seen that too many times in Burst and in Beyblade in general.
2. Lazily written. This one speaks for itself.
3. Again lifeless which is not a fun character to read at all.
4. Too op. i know of a few certain fanfictions but i'm not going to say any names because they know who they are, where the main OC is super OP.
this is about all i could come up with, i'm sure there are more but these are my main nitpicks.

I'm thinking. Now that DB has officially concluded and Story Of Lanes Sister will end with its 3rd and final season, i'm thinking of doing a DB2/BU Fanfiction. Just sounds like something that would be interesting.

Hm, that's a good question.
1) Too much focus on them, and too little on the rest of the OCs/canon characters. That just makes them stick out like an eyesore everytime they appear, which is certainly not what you should be going for.
2) Turning their identity into their whole personality makes them far too one-dimensional and boring to follow, same with making their one singular goal the focus of every thing they do.
3) Replicating the same concept in the same story is a one-way ticket to a bad OC. Two characters sharing one or two main traits is fine, but the exact same personality? Not so much.
I can't think of much else that can ruin a whole character by itself, but these I think are the main signs of a badly written OC.

Hears a good question what makes a bad series, in my honest opinion GT was kinda boring for me, when I go to Walmart there’s a Beyblade there and it’s always a GT bey, I didn’t really understand some episodes some times and yeah, I just wanna hear your opinion about this

Here’s my idea for the first of a MFB styled Burst. Should I make it into a full series?
The Local Tournament
Valt is an up and coming Blader. Despite trying his best he can’t beat anyone at school. Overnight, a meteor falls from the sky. Valt sneaks out to go and investigate it, and his Beyblade starts glowing, and transforms into Valkyrie. Using it he can finally beat Rantaro, his friend from school, and he now has the confidence to enter the Tournament. It’s rumbled that the Tournament has more people that have been powered up by the Meteor, like Wakiya and Shu, the latter of which is his childhood friend. In a training match Valt struggles against Wakiya, and realises he’s been abusing his new power without actually trying to master it. After training with Shu he gains the power to beat Wakiya and advances to the finals, however Shuks fighting differently. There’s a strange aura surrounding him. Shu easily defeats Valt, and Valt realises even when he’s powered up he still can’t reach Shu’s level. Shu decides to cheer him up by pitching the idea of a Beyclub. Shu and Valt gather their group of friends and they officially become the Enigoma Academy Beyclub. Behind the scenes it turns out that the WBBA created this tournament to observe the powers of the Meteor, and they find something shocking in their results.

I had this one neat idea for a fanfic in mind. The main premise I have down is just it takes place a good couple years after Dynamite Battle, many of the old cast are retired and/or doing something else at this point. Giving forth a completely original cast, although some are disciples of previous characters. I don't got a whole lot written down, just a basic setting and some characters. I kinda just want the whole theme of the story just being about legacy and the overall impact people (in this case, former legends) have on others in the future without knowing it. I just wanna see what y'all think about it, if you want I could go over some basic ideas I have for characters.

My fan fiction is Called Beyblade Burst Phyconorac and its about teen aged boy named Leroy who after his grandfather died recieved a beyblade called Super Leagueious after 25 battles it starts winning new pieces from other beyblades and eventually it breaks and he uses its pieces and others pieces to create a Phyconorac burst bey which can swap in between forms and abilities with just a glare but it causes serious injury to the user so it can only happen 3 times every 3 battles Leroys rival is named Billy. His beyblade is called Duchess Beutious the only bey that can stand up to Leros bey Billy Trained under Lui Sherosagis daughter Luis Sherosagi and her bey Omega Loroku while Leroy is trained by Frees son named Lord Sakuno their bey is called Rage Socuronas and they all train at the bey goma academy bey club -more on this Fan Fiction Soon

Excuse me for the lateness, I recently returned and only just noticed the question
RE: Beyblade Fanfics Club/Discussions/Random Thoughts - Xcess-Z - Jan. 02, 2024
I have a basic premise for a story I've been workshopping
Beyblade XX (Double Cross)
The story follows Shu (just shortened the Japanese word for protagonist cause I'm lazy) attempting to become a pro blader in the X Tower. However, Shu is a selfish, cunning carp, who seems to have previous connections to the current raining champion. He worms his way into the Fresh Start program for upcoming rookie bladers and plans to make it to the top by any means necessary.
I don't want to focus on team battles (too many characters), instead I would rather Shu have makeshift relationships with characters he comes across that he can use as he pleases. Shu's main thing is that he has nothing to lose, which is what formed his cunning personality in the first place. I think he should still have a group of allies so to speak, probably other rookies that he meets in the Fresh Start program.
This all probably sounds quite vague, but I do have a vision. I think the main thing I have in mind is someone who gambles everything for the sake of reaching the top.
RE: Beyblade Fanfics Club/Discussions/Random Thoughts - Xcess-Z - Jan. 19, 2024
I have a new concept that I like way more, will probably go deeper with this one. All the details below are tentative.
Beyblade XS (Access)
Story Arcs:
Bey Labyrinth (Chapters 1-3)
Battle Island
Victory Road
B4 National Tournament
-------
Chapter 1: The World of the Kings
Featured Beyblades
Phoenix Engine [Balance Type, uses motorized tip to change modes]
Cerberus Fang [Defense Type, uses a spinning ring with 3 barriers]
Anubis Scepter [Stamina Type, has an aerodynamic design]
Bahamut Claw [Attack Type, moves fast with a rubber tip and attacks explosively with metal]
This will have more detail cause it's setting the stage, but bear with me. We start with an exhibition match held at B4 Stadium, being broadcast nationwide. It features Sora, wielder of Phoenix, and Kun, wielder of Cerberus fighting each other. Suddenly, a skydiver crashes through the stadium's dome ceiling, interrupting the battle. It's Baku, our protagonist. The reason he's here is because he's one of them, with this group being rounded out by a girl who enters the stage from one of the stands. These 4 are the 4 Kings, the strongest bladers in Japan.
For an idea of their personalities: Kun is analytical and always in his own world, frequently disappearing from everyone to work on his gizmos. He worked with B4 to create the latest system, but would never admit that. Sora is an adrenaline junkie who tries to act as the straight man of the group. She values their perception as celebrities highly and tries to keep everyone else in line, but has to deal with their crazy tendencies, including her own. The 2 biggest offenders are Baku and Arashi. Baku is our protagonist who has an explosive personality and always says what's on his mind, causing lots of controversy. He was just off on a 1-year training journey to Mt Fuji. Arashi is the youngest of the group, and she's always looking for fun battles. She's relatively lax but gets super defensive when the other Kings get insulted. The 4 aren't exactly friends nor foes, just hot-blooded rivals.
Kun says his time is up and leaves since he has to launch the Bey Labyrinth. Battle Island is a national blading event held every year, but each year has different ways to gain a ticket to entry. Kun's Bey Labyrinth was approved as this year's challenge that would grant a ticket, much to Kun's annoyance. The 4 Kings depart, promising to meet at this year's Battle Island for a great fight. Outside, Baku meets a strange fellow, who's watching the fight but also hiding at the same time. This person introduces themself as Nise, proclaiming himself as Baku's biggest fan. He wants to get stronger but doesn't know how, and Baku decides the easiest way to test his abilities is with a beybattle. Baku uses his Bahamut, while Nise uses his Anubis and gets promptly obliterated. Right after this, the program inside the stadium ends and the fans come rushing out, causing Nise to make a break for it with Baku trailing him, super confused.
They arrive in the city hoping to blend in with the large crowds, but a swarm of photographers are around the corner, and take pictures of Nise, who is terrified. Baku is super confused, before Nise's picture, along with 3 others is shown on the city's giant screens. Nise is one of the 4 Stars, a new group started while Baku was away. These are the 4 strongest rookie Bladers who have the potential to usurp the Kings. Nise takes Baku into a bathroom to explain the situation. He's one of the 4 Stars but is super weak because he's not supposed to be one. Someone else signed up, but gave him their Bey, deferring their place as one to him. Nise wants to get stronger, so he can live up to the hype. Baku thinks the reason he's strong now is because he was surrounded by strong people early on(These people in question are the other 3 Kings, implying he knew them even as children). Because of this, Baku decides to take Nise to Battle Island, so they go to take on the Bey Labyrinth,
-------
Chapter 2: Bey Labyrinth
Featured Beyblade
Griffin Matrix [Stamina Type, deflects attacks with its metal talons]
The Bey Labyrinth is a 3 stage test run by an AI developed by Kun, promptly named Ai. Baku and Nise are joined by 8 others, but only 2 of the 10 participants can win tickets to Battle Island. The first stage is an escape room, where 5 switches need to be activated in sequence for the Bladers to progress. When this condition is cleared, the 5 who activated each switch get to progress. Thinking isn't Baku's strong suit so he's completely stumped, but Nise notices that there are Roman numerals scattered around suspicious areas. Nise takes I, a suspicious hole in the wall which turns out to be a tunnel, as he suspected, This tunnel is long, but his Anubis is a stamina type, so it makes it through to the end. II is perfect for Baku, a bowling challenge. Baku's Bahamut easily scores a strike with its immense power. By the time both of them finish, the other switches are activated, so the pair can progress. Nise notes the ruthless nature of the challenge, already cutting off half of the lot.
Stage 2 is a Battle Royale against Griffin Matrix, a Beyblade digitally created by Ai. One spawns in at a time, and the blader who beats each one gets to go on to the final stage, with only 2 progressing. Baku realizes that Nise is gonna get swarmed, so instead of fighting Griffin, he holds off the others so Nise can fight on his own. The 3 others break through, and Baku uses that momentum to smash his Bahamut into Griffin to assist Nise. However, Baku overestimates his strength and Bahamut bursts Griffin, making it so that he wins and that Nise is left alone. Nise is overwhelmed but sees that Baku completely trusts his ability, making him feel worse. He realizes that the weakness he's feeling is what's holding him back and that he can only break out of it but leaving his comfort zone, so he goes all in on the attack. In the struggle, all 4 Beys attack Griffin at once, bursting it, but also cracking Sphinx. Ai decides that this should be Nise's win, since his Sphinx kited the other 3 into attacking Griffin, disqualifying the others. However, Nise is also disqualified since his Sphinx can no longer fight, however, Nise trusts Baku to take on the final challenge alone.
-------
Chapter 3: As a Blader X As a Human
Featured Beyblade
Cerberus Matrix [Defense Type, guards with 3 stationary barriers. Each one is made from a different material, POM, metal, and rubber respectively.]
The final stage is a 1v1 against Ai, which uses a digital construct based on its creators Beyblade, Cerberus Matrix. However, Ai is having trouble computing the events of the previous stage, deciding on its own that the Bey Labyrinth will end with Baku. Once it beats Baku, it plans to shut it down, stopping other Bladers from reaching Battle Island. The reason is that it believes that through the events it has experienced, Bladers are ruthless and illogical and that sending them to Battle Island would be inefficient, instead devising its training regime for everyone. Unfortunately, Baku can't talk Ai down since he is both ruthless and illogical, so he decides to show his thoughts to Ai through battle.
During the battle, Baku goes all in, but it is caught off guard by its 3 different barriers, ending in a ring out for Bahamut. Ai scoffs at Baku, but despite this Baku seems convinced that Ai's full of carp. As the next round goes on, Baku says that stopping everyone from going to Battle Island would be robbing them of their free will, but Ai still believes Bladers are illogical, making it so they really shouldn't deserve it in the first place. Baku then uses Bahamut to make drastic moves, seemingly proving Ai's point, but it then realizes he's purposely making the battle more exciting by letting both Beys dive through the air.
Baku tries to properly explain his thoughts with the help of a Beyblade metaphor. The only 2 existences who can have a true beybattle are 2 humans. This battle is an exchange of their ideals and emotions with each other. This ability to transfer feelings through non-feeling inanimate objects is a superpower only humans have. Ai does see his point, but still questions why the world was made so that humans are deserving of these wills and ideals. Baku honestly doesn't know, but just relishes this glory regardless, saying that he'd be foolish to reject it since it is what makes him truly alive. He then walks away from the stadium as he ends the battle in an instant, going through a giant door that opens to him, not looking back. The door leads outside where the tickets lie, and he takes them and runs to Nise, celebrating with him, saying that he'll get his bey fixed for him in exchange for dragging him here. Ai is left to ponder its thoughts, thinking that it can't understand someone like Baku's unrelenting ego, and decides to keep the bey Labyrinth open so it can study more humans and develop an answer to it.
