Chapter 10.

Later that day, Forrest and the group decided to head out and grab some lunch. ‘I can't believe me and Roan actually won’t that battle!’ Forrest thought, still shocked at the result of the match. It was a short walk towards the nearest town, and they settled at a near by vendor.
“So Forrest,” Roan said, as he waved a hand in front of his face. “You seem to get lost in your thoughts a lot. Anyway, Minos was just saying something about a big match today.”
“Oh, sorry. What is it?” Forrest asked.
“As I was saying,” Minos said slowly, “That Gwyn dude and Drum are headed for a heated battle today. I think we might be able to catch it if we finish up soon.”
“Yeah,” Akuma replied. “One problem, we don’t have any money to get in.”
“Don’t worry,” Forrest responded, “When I was on my own, I would sometimes sneak into places most people wouldn’t want me in. It should be much easier with a bey now, but we have 5 people rather than the usual 1.”
About 10 minutes later, they finished their meals and headed towards the beyblade arena.
“There are usually two lines,” Forrest explained. “Act normal and follow me on my signal.”
“Yeah, but there’s another problem,” Roan pointed out, as he tapped Forrest on the shoulder. “Look over there.”
When Forrest turned around, he could clearly see that there was indeed, another problem. It was Count Night. ‘What should I do? What should I do?’ Forrest murmured in his head. But, they came to the front of the line sooner than Forrest had expected. Slowly, Forrest launched Fenrir onto the floor.
“Look!” he told the guard. “A beyblade is on the floor!”
Surely enough, it was Fenrir. Then, he mention the signal to Roan and the rest of the group. Immediately, they started running into the arena.
“Wha-? Guards look out!” Shouted the voice of Count Night.
But it was already too late, Forrest and the group had a reasonable head start. They soon turned a corner and ran into a room. Forrest looked around panting, he could tell it was a storage room. They peeked out a crack in the door, and realized that the coast is clear.
“Okay, I think it’s safe,” Forrest said, as he bent down to pick up Fenrir.
They all started jogging in a directions and Forrest looked down at his bey. ‘Thanks Fenrir, your the best bey I could ever ask for,’ He silently whispered to the beyblade. Suddenly, he ran into something.
“Forrest, are you okay?” One of his friends asked.
Dizzied, Forrest looked up and slid back into a wall.
“You’re not supposed to be here.” The voice of a person said.
Forrest looked at his friends, but their faces showed a shocked expression. He looked up and gasped.
“I’ll let you guys go, if you, Forrest can beat me in a beyblade battle,” The voice boomed. “If you can beat my bey, Lord Spriggan.”



Note: sorry if someone wanted a battle, but this is a chapter that sets up the next one.

Well, it might be a good idea to make a different character other than Shu own it, because it not everyone likes fanfiction interpretations of the official characters.

Chapter 11

“It’s Shu Kurenai,” Forrest whispered to himself.
“Looks like a dead end eh?” A familiar voice spoke.
Forrest turned around and saw Count Night staring right at him, beside him were both Amaterios Bladers. ‘How did they get here so fast?’ Forrest thought, as he recalled that they were at the rear of the line when Fenrir had made the diversion.
“We bolted right after you, because all the guards were distracted by you, Forrest,” Count Night said slyly. “After all, I am the superior and more experience thief here. Right?”
Forrest looked at the two Amatarios Bladers, the one cloaked in red was staring at Akuma with hatred. Then he looked at the one dressed in black and purple, he had a relatively emotionless look on his face.
“Why don’t we make this a three way battle, hm?” Count Night chuckled, while positioning his hat.
“It doesn’t seem like a problem to me,” Shu responded. “Forrest?”
“Yeah, I think it’ll be okay,” he said shakily.
“Ah, perfect,” Count Night said. “The room Forrest just hid in a room the stores bey-stadiums. Don’t forget, if you lose, I get to keep your bey Shu Kurenai.“
“So, who going to battle for you Count Night?” Roan asked.
“Why of course, I would like to try my other apprentice. Show them what power your Shadow Amatarios holds.” Count Night chimed.
They soon found a bey stadium to battle in. Forrest, Shu and The Shadow Amatarios Blader surrounded the stadium.
“3, 2, 1. Go, shoot!” Count Night said.
All three Blades launched their beys into the stadium, Spriggan immediately took the center. ‘He put Spriggan into defense mode,’ Forrest observed.
“Hit em hard! Fenrir!” Forrest said.
Fenrir charged at Spriggan, gaining speed as he went down the slope. Sparks and intense wind flew when the two made contact. Click, click.
“What? How?” Forrest asked.
But, as he looked up, Shu was staring silently and Fenrir already began to wobble. ‘Spriggan has rubber, that must’ve done the damage. I can’t go up against a Gatinko bey!
“This isn’t right, you have a dual layer,” Shu whispered as Spriggan retreated back to him.
Slowly, everyone watched the mighty blader walk away.
“Don’t take your eyes away from the real show!” The Amatarios Blader laughed.
Shadow Amatarios went straight at Fenrir, dark blue and purple aura surrounding it.
“Toss it around! Amaterios. Do as you please,” he chuckled.
“Fenrir, Vanar-“
“It’s no use, Shadow Amaterios!”
Forrest knew that The Amaterios Blader wasn’t trying his hardest. Amaterios was only hitting Fenrir lightly. But, Forrest didn’t see that.
‘Fenrir’s avatar getting tossed around. The humanoid avatar of Amaterios Standing over the Wolf’s weakened body. In the bey stadium, in the wilderness, a human looking over members of Forrest’s pack. The wolf lying still.
‘“No!’” Forrest yelled.
He reached towards his former caretaker. He felt the soft fur that quickly turned to ashes.
‘“Forrest!”’ A voice yelled.
‘“Forrest!”’ It yelled again, echoing through his mind.
The sound of beys clashing in the distance. The sport that he once loved. But now feared.
“Katgutsuchi go!”
“Revenge, help him too!”
“Eclipse!”
Forrest yelled into the endless depths of his mind. He looked up, a small beam of light was piercing through. But it was soon consumed by dark red flames.’
