If not removed, at least cut off.

or Worn down as the original purpose states.

If you're looking to the remove the actual gimmick of the beyblade, you aren't looking to it as intended (if there even is an "intended" way in the first place) lmao. You can just cut them off and be done with it, or go onto the chassis and remove them somehow.

I'm honestly pleasantly surprised about variant Lucifer gimmick it's not as bad as w feared it would be in fact it's fun . I'm going to enjoy this bey

It's fan-made, not official. Hence why it's on Instagram.

So here is another image showing that the rumored wear down on 2D AND surprisingly Mobius is intended and confirmed (sorry for the blurry image):

To translate: As the Mobius driver is used for a long time, the tip of the shaft will wear and the shape will change little by little.  It can be used at competitions, events, etc. as long as the circular shape around the tip of the shaft (red part in the figure below) does not disappear.

Wow so the entire bey becomes an attack type. I guess it makes sense and variant looks like it could work for both attack or defense.

Although the idea of a thing one has wearing down is sad (like rubber attack drivers for the most part), the idea that a bey has different planned utility through it's life seems is quite interesting. Assuming these evolution stages are differently competitive, it would be interesting to have opponents guessing on how to counter the bey.

Honestly it just seems like a lame excuse and they probably just want to play off what is likely the faster than usual wearing of the 2D and mobius parts as a “gimmick” to make us feel ok with it.

The chassis appears to have four screws on it at the bottom so maybe the blades can be removed normally.

It's funny how TT in the instructions lists the rubber breaking off as a "feature".  Upside is, it looks like missing pieces would be tournament legal as the new contact points upon breaking are advertised in the instruction manual.

Those are four rivets at the bottom, they are extremely hard to take off.

RE: B-169 Starter Variant Lucifer.Mb 2D - Vtryuga - Jul. 18, 2020

Well looking at whatever videos that are available on youtube. The major weaknesses of the stock combo are stamina in same spin battles ( it is a beast in opposite spin battles). The mobius driver being aggressive is a big let down on this bey. The 2 D chassis's gimmick seems to work and looks like a counter to rage and zwei. Ig we need more testing in the same spin department as it looks a bit weak there. But with a better driver I feel that it is going to be a force to reckon with (again this is my opinion without tbh proper tests. I really hope this bey can be good on some combo)

RE: B-169 Starter Variant Lucifer.Mb 2D - Spirit of Order - Jul. 18, 2020

I think a combo like Lord Spriggan Vanguard Mobious might be good? This is just a guess. The Mobious driver might be able to Tornado stall in opposite spin, dodging attack combos and come to the center to spin equalize against stamina/defense hybrids.

I hope all of those weird nonsense will not be wasted in the anime or manga as the wear gimmick

I have to be real here but sparking seems to have a streak of great release

RE: B-169 Starter Variant Lucifer.Mb 2D - bblader/90 - Jul. 18, 2020

Wow, 2D is fantastic at spin stealing! At least from what i've seen on yt. Against Rage Longinus it starts to move from nothing as soon as it comes in contact with Rage. That makes me wonder how fast those rubber barrier parts will wear down, it's very soft apparently. But that gimmick works better when Variant Lucifer gets soft launched, as the rubber wings won't come out. I also think about how useful this would be, i mean it's like Mirage Fafnir. Only useful against opposite spin beys. At least until barrier wears down completely, i don't know how it will perform then.

RE: B-169 Starter Variant Lucifer.Mb 2D - Spirit of Order - Jul. 18, 2020

It did seem to struggle against Brave Valkyrie in Leo Burst's video.

Hi! Yeah, that's because of the gimmick and Brave's spin direction. When the wings are open, they create massive recoil and scrape risk. Like Gaia Dragoon. I wrote in a previous post that, in my opinion, the best use 2D could have is being a right spin Mirage Fafnir. Soft launches and act like a defense/stamina type, at least until Mobius and 2D are not worn enough to think about a better use for them.

RE: B-169 Starter Variant Lucifer.Mb 2D - Vtryuga - Jul. 18, 2020

Mobius is a letdown. i feel if we have a stamina driver like bearing it will perform tons better as mobius is to agggressive to have decent stamina

It might be less aggressive as it wears down. Also it has good LAD it seems, so it might be a safe choice in opposite spin.

I Should buy It? i'm into buy this starter or 2 SK launchers, alongside with 171, so, variant Lucifer is good?

I can only assume so maybe yes because many ppl seems to like this bey because it is fun and really good at spin equalizing and the launcher seems to be good too

RE: B-169 Starter Variant Lucifer.Mb 2D - LOL-y Rancher - Jul. 18, 2020

Whether it's great, good, mediocre or total garbage, I'll still buy it for the great launcher and for the novelty of the bey.

Comparison of Mobius and Bearing.

Amazingly, Mobius seems it may be better for opposite spin than Bearing. Not too surprising though given that it is flatter. And in same spin it's worse than Bearing. A nice trade off, I think.

I wonder if it has better knockout resistance.
