ugh...mosquitoes, heat and humidity...

But seriously, if you guys do not mind travelling far to Tseung Kwan O to the place I mentioned quite a while ago, then you could be battling in a room with decent space, air con, and carpet floors, haha.

We can not confirm the location yet since some members may not be willing to travel too far.

I think I should wait for members to post more viable locations, then we could have a vote to see which location is most agreed on.
(BTW, I can go to any location in HK.)

We cannot host tourneys in stores.
WBO tournaments require entrance fees, and I do not think Micro Planet would lend us the Stadium.
Also, we probably need more than 1 Stadium for tourneys...

Moreover, a store would be too cramped for a tournament since people and piles of toys are all around us. We would face a huge problem if we break anything...

WBO needs profit (?), and money to buy prizes...

Yes, pretty much all the money earned from the tourney goes to the WBO through PayPal.

However, the committee can lend us some funds for the prizes, if I'm not mistaken...

There was no need to revive a thread with such a non-constructive post. This is SPAM.

I will,
but bear in mind that this is not related to WBO organized plays.

Time isn't that much of a problem since I would say it's pretty easy to organize.

Location is the biggest problem.

RE: [Hong Kong, Asia] Hong Kong Bladers (Discussion for tournaments) - ControL_ - Oct. 22, 2010

Guys I'm planning on going to Hong Kong on holiday for the first time. Usually I go to Nanjing or eastern mainland china. Now that i'm interested in Beyblades again, and Chinese, what sort of stores offer a variety of different beyblades? ToysRus don't have many on their website so....

More on topic, I would love to participate in a tournament in Hong Kong as long as you guys don't speak Cantonese?

You can actually get cheap Takara-Tomy beyblades in most toy-shops, they are spread everywhere. Preferably Wan Chai Tai Yuen Street, sells many cheap stuffs.

Haha, MOST of us speak Cantonese anyway. Time isn't problem for a tournament, but we need a good location for it.

RE: [Hong Kong, Asia] Hong Kong Bladers (Discussion for tournaments) - ControL_ - Oct. 22, 2010

I was kind of seeking for NON Cantonese speakers, Mandarin or some that know English would be good. But doesn't really matter just for family vacation really. OK I don't really care about price but just new released Beyblades. A good stock of good quality new released Beys are really what I'm after. I'm also guessing that there are not many attack stadiums in stock?

We speak English also Gasp

That would be good that you don't mind the price. Anyway, BB-32 costs HKD$199 in Tai Yuen Street.

RE: [Hong Kong, Asia] Hong Kong Bladers (Discussion for tournaments) - ControL_ - Oct. 22, 2010

OMG HKD199?!!? That's like under 20GBP. God gonna get about HKD1500 ready which is only a fraction of my holiday savings just for beyblades then. Great price can't wait.

RE: [Hong Kong, Asia] Hong Kong Bladers (Discussion for tournaments) - UDC - Oct. 25, 2010

They also released Ray Gill, tornado bey stadium and they have infinity libra and others on Tai Yuen Street. That place is like beyblade heaven.
