So as far as I'm aware, there exists no tournaments in my community, so I want to eventually become an organizer, but if I'm organizing tournaments, I wouldn't be able to play in these tournaments right?
My whole goal is to create a community in my area but I also want to play, but if I'm the only organizer, wouldn't I never get to play for rank?

Organizers can play in their own tournaments. Someone else has to judge their matches.
