Layer Base - Bushin - TheBladingCow - Apr. 17, 2019
Quote:==Description==
Bushin is a Defense Type Layer Base that features six counterclockwise, downward-sloping blades similar to Rock. However, the gaps between the blades are much smaller than Rock, reducing recoil and making it a more viable option than Rock for Defense combinations. It is also the heaviest Layer Base at the time of writing, at 10 grams. Like other Defense Bases, Bushin exposes less of a Gatinko Chip's teeth, reducing the Chip's burst resistance. The low-recoil design, however, mitigates the effect.
Due to Bushin exposing less of a Chip's teeth, Bushin combinations are more burst-prone than other combinations using a different Base. The use of Gatinko Chips with strong teeth, however, such as Dragon or Valkyrie solve this issue.
==Use in Defense Combinations==
Bushin can be used in the Defense Combination Bushin Valkyrie/Dragon 0/00/10/7 Turn/Bump/Meteor/Proof/Cross/Glaive Atomic/Orbit Ten/Zan/Sen. Bushin is a good defense base and its low Burst Resistance is mitigated by the use of Valkyrie/Dragon. Ten/Zan/Sen feature high Outward Weight Distribution and have great Stamina and Defense properties. 0/00/10/7 also have high Outward Weight Distribution and similarly have good Stamina and Defense potential. Atomic/Orbit feature high Life After Death and are good for Defense Combinations.
==Overall==
Bushin has the highest Defense out of all the layer bases, without the crippling recoil Rock has. It also is the heaviest Layer Base at the time of writing. However, Bushin is still slightly outclassed by previous Layers such as Archer Hercules, Perfect Phoenix, and Hell Salamander.
As such, Bushin is a welcome addition to any blader's collection.
These results were from testing I did with it from about a month. Hope you enjoy the draft!

Well it does say "at the time of writing". Plenty of official wikia pages have this.
