Galaxy Pegasus - boigamer25 - Apr. 14, 2019 Hi. So, is it just me, or does Galaxy Pegasus seem a lot weaker when Gingka bonded and mastered it then when he first found it? I mean, Pegasus was really wild at first and super strong. Then when Gingka began to "understand" Pegasus then its power began to cease. It was having a really hard time in the world championships against beys like Gravity Destroyer and Hades Kerbeus. RE: Galaxy Pegasus - Hussainthetank - Apr. 14, 2019 because of the plot. The show would be kinda boring if galaxy pegasus was absolutely annihilating everyone because we wouldn't have that intense feeling from metal fusion RE: Galaxy Pegasus - boigamer25 - Apr. 14, 2019 But what about Ryuga XD. He only lost twice in the entire metal saga RE: Galaxy Pegasus - Strider Xanthos - Apr. 14, 2019 A, its a prototype super upgrade Storm Pegasus became a less powerful and controlled version. B.Being uncontrollable and wild has a weakness, if dealing with a opponent that can match it and counter its unpredictability, it'll lose like Masamune beat him. C. Not really, Gingka only needed 3 special moves in comparison to last season. D. He's fighting against the strong bladers from across the world, of course he's going to struggle. E. Damien defeated all of....Exaculbiur minus Klaus all on his own and Julian destroyed Gingka in their first match. F. Think about all the victories it racked up, surviving and beating Dashan despite being on the defensive, breaking out of an electromagnetic cage with Aleksei's teammate, fighting a powered Leone to a draw, surviving Herculeo's Cyclone Stadium advantage, and surviving HELL. Yeah I don't see it. RE: Galaxy Pegasus - boigamer25 - Apr. 14, 2019 As a response to B, the only reason He lost was because of that huge boulder XD. but I see what your saying. But still. For a bey that holds the title of "Legendary Bey", it's power just seems a little underwhelming. It's probably because I've been attached to a he metal series for over three years lol. By the time I got into burst the second season had already started. RE: Galaxy Pegasus - Angry Face - Apr. 30, 2019 I think this would fall under an example of The Worf Effect. It's one of the most common tropes of Beyblade's animes. But the Burst series tends to be most guilty of worfing other beys for the sake of advertising new ones, at least in my opinion. It's one of the most common tropes of Beyblade's animes. For example: Valt lost to Xhaka because of Power Inconsistence and spent 27 episodes trying to awaken, but was still able to get a point off him with the True Flash Launch. Daina lost to Ukyo who was holding back, but was able to beat him in the team tournament. Kurtz beat or got a point off everyone in Block A, even Shu for the latter sake. Laban was able to fight off Xhan and Fubuki after losing to Xhan not too long ago. Of course that's not always the case, but with Burst it tends to be 50-50. I don't normally count the main character of a season, as they'll almost always get their revenge. Valt was still inexperienced and the opponents he beat beforehand were still nowhere near as strong as Xhaka. Fair enough. In this case though it's Burst worfing non main characters in favour of the main once they're no longer news, another frequent crime of theirs. In Kurtz case RBV beys tend to fall in favour for nearly all strong starter beys, except for Wyvern, Satan and maybe Buster Xcalibur. Yeah, I'll admit I never expected Laban to beat Xhan, that was cool and we need more moments like this. I think Burst worfs non main character or non starter beys a lot. Okay fair, but if Valt had True Flash Rush Shoot without the inconsistencies, he could've at least gotten a Burst on Xhaka. Does Lui count? What are RBV beys? Nah Buster's still broken, it beat Jinnius somehow and that's the epitome of broken. Wasn't Satan actually good, he got wins on Valkyire, Garuda, Jinnius with and without help, Excalibur, and Regulus. We also need way more free for all battle royales, unexpected matchups, 3 ways, Metal Fusion style battles, it would be glorious. As long as Phi doesn't immediately Burst everyone in the vincity. No, I don't count Lui, he falls under the same category as Phi and Free, very strong characters who own major Starter Beys who beat almost everybody except either one of the main characters or each other, although in Phi's case, just Aiga, a main character. RBV means "Random Booster Volume", which refers to the prize beyblades that come from Random Boosters, in the case of Yeager Yggdrasil, Quad Quetzalcoatl, Gigant Gaia, Tornado Wyvern, Maximum Garuda, Shelter Regulus, Beat Kukulcan, Crash Ragnaruk, Vise Leopard, Dead Hades and Air Knight. A lot of them show how strong they are in their debuts then later on get constantly bodied by newer opponents or main characters, unless they themselves are main characters like Ranjiro. To be fair to Kit, he lost to two of the main characters, but I think that still leaves his win ratio to 33%, or 25% if the flashback counts. Hearts lost his last three battles versus his two (the training bot doesn't count), and he's supposedly a World Champion worthy blader, but again got beaten by three even more powerful bladers, so he's got a similar case to Ruwei, although Ruwei was still much sadder. Yeah Sieg Xcalibur is good, but I was talking about Buster Xcalibur, which has a decent amount of losses for a starter bey, including to an RBV one. Normally starter beys besides main characters never lose to RBV/Booster beys, unless it's Satan (against Garuda and Ragnaruk) and Wyvern (Ragnaruk and Deathscyther). And yes Satan is good, but is the only starter bey (besides Valt, a main character), in the God series who loses to a booster/RBV beyblades which is why I put it below other stronger starter beyblades like Fafnir, Longinus and Spriggan. ANYWAY, this is getting really off topic now, so feel free to message me if you have anything else to add. Thanks. RE: Galaxy Pegasus - BurningSands - May. 01, 2019 Outside tropes like the Worf Effect and other plot reasons, I think its due to this: As far as I can remember, Gingka had his Fusion (S1) Bey for quite a while now? And having it evolve would mean starting over, and taking time to learn about his “new” Bey. Meaning, sometimes there would be “hidden” quirks he hadnt learned about. He might realize its strong and powerful, but something new still needs control and education over RE: Galaxy Pegasus - Strider Xanthos - May. 01, 2019 (May. 01, 2019 2:46 AM)XSabxManiacX Wrote: Outside tropes like the Worf Effect and other plot reasons, I think its due to this: As far as I can remember, Gingka had his Fusion (S1) Bey for quite a while now? Besides, Galaxy only lost three times: Masamune taking advantage of the environment after Gingka beat him several times, Team Excalibur (and they were still able to break through Grand Fleet), and Argo from a Surprise Attack in a survival battle after being somewhat drained from fighting/battled two of the Garcias. So the Worf Effect only really applies to Exaclibur's case.
