Exactly a point why MFB is better than Burst, better charcaters/character development

Yup that's true

Yup I commented on that earlier. Such an awesome way to wrap the story. The anime writers really need to step up their game.

RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - TheGolden Blade - Mar. 03, 2021

Hey so I have some predictions for season 6 (NOT CONFIRMED)
Topic 1- (Is Bell really the bad guy)
Okay so, we all know Bell is the evil protagonist and everything, but what if he's not? What if the legends are corrupt and he's just using the dark power to fight them?
Topic 2- (Bell's aura)
His bey has red in it, just because his creepy makes him look mega creepy, doesn't mean he's "evil". His aura is also red (Notice Aiga's and Lean's auras were purple)
Topic 3- (Dark Valkryie!!??)
I think this is fake, Valt is the most cheerful person in beyblade, there's no way he's going dark.
Topic 4- (Antagonist)
I'm pretty sure we're getting a new antagonist (IF BELL ISN'T ALREADY IT).
Topic 5- (Characters returning)
I doubt we'll see all legends because yeah. And I doubt Lean will return as well.

So yeah

Hi guys I don’t mean to be off topic, but I am a lover of boots and so obsessed with the human characters wearing boots (etc. Aiger, Valt, Shu, and other human characters that are wearing boots). You guys fine with me being so attractive to characters in the franchise wearing boots?

RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - Zeutron - Mar. 03, 2021

My ranking of the seasons:

1: Beyblade Burst: Easily had the best main cast in my opinion since it introduced us to most of our fan favourites. Heck, even a lot of the side characters like Naoki were quite memorable. It was fun seeing all those casual moments alongside the serious moments because it makes things seem a lot more genuine than characters battling or training every 5 minutes. The show has great progression that synergized even better with the emotional moments and was organized perfectly in terms of arcs (district-regional- national team- national). One of the best things about s1 is that it focused on the importance of both the friendship/ teamwork aspects and individual belief aspects; creating what I believe is a great showcase of morality. Another notable (and largely favourable) thing that strengthens my love for s1 is the unpredictability of battles. You didn’t always know what was going to happen and the stakes felt higher. This really hooked me on and made me feel more interested in the episodes to the point where I began watching them live just to curb my interest.

2: Beyblade Burst Evolution: Similarly to s1, it introduced us to even more memorable main cast members and a series of fan favourites side characters many of which; are still remembered today. I would even go as far as to say that the side cast of s2 is much more popular than that of s1. Evolution did us the great deed of picking up the story where s1 left off and it actually brings the larger world of beyblade into play which is just amazing. The emotional moments here are also great as we see with the climactic struggle, fall and rise of BC Sol as well as Shu’s mental journey and prompt resurfacing. Yes, there were A LOT of filler episodes, but at least the main characters were faced with conflict instead of void training. The main characters learning to stand on their own while being faced with realistic problems actually makes things interesting. This seasons has many interesting arcs (even if some are a bit odd) all of which I believe are organized perfectly and it also keeps faithful to the important ideas established by s1. The battles are noticeably more intense due to the upgraded system and nextstep in resonance which is an additional great revolution for the series. The predictability of battles did increase significantly during this season and that’s really the only thing holding it back from the number one spot.

3: Rise: I may seem crazy putting Rise this high but I still stand by this choice. Rise seems to carry the same predictability of battles as Turbo which really sucks although, it’s still not quite as bad. The season is really crammed and the arcs feel very forced, quick and random (bey carnival to challenging the champion?) likely due to the 12 episode run time which further diminishes the seasons. Ironically, the cast isn’t very cramped and is instead quite small making the burst universe seem small as a result and the many unmemorable characters don’t help. Despite its many flaws, Rise seems to have gone all out on new concepts and has actually tried to improve the overall quality of burst (with limited success) and as unorganized as it is, I appreciate that. Arthur was our first true blading villain with proper evil motives and that really lightens my image of the season- and I mean seriously, finally a villain we don’t sympathize with. We also have Gwynn, who is arguably one of the best written and most well thought out characters in the history of burst. An antagonist that isn’t a villain or a hero and doesn’t care about light or dark but is rather a neutral participant who wants to enforce the superiority of math over friends is a genius concept. The season heavily focused on friendship and relationships alongside the positive effect they have over lives which helped further craft the conflict of the season which was effectively an internal battle of morales. This season really maxed out on resonance too with the new bond-induced states allowing battles to reach an absolute peak of intensity while also further showcasing the morale battle between light, dark and superiority through these various turbo forms. The ultimate lesson of the season was the best of all. The battle between Dante, the friendly, emotionally motivated blader and Gwynn, the obsessive, emotionless and egotistical blader really worked as a great metaphorical representation that solidifies the universal human truth of the plot. This truth is that emotions, friendships and relationships (Dante) will always triumph over superiority complex, knowledge (Gwynn) and selfish desires (Arthur). In my opinion, Rise had the potential to be the best of all seasons.

4: Superking: The main cast was really only half decent with its new characters being garbage while it’s older ones (Valt/Rantaro) were returns welcomed with open arms. I do however, think that the side cast was really good even if it was utilized poorly. The nostalgic return of many fan favourite legendary bladers was bound to excite everyone! It's unfortunate that a lot of them ended up looking bad due to constantly getting ragged on by newbies. I'll admit, it's not something that particularly bugs me too much since it’s inevitable but it does make them look unintelligent or unskilled from time to time. The main characters themselves really don't see much in-depth development or resonance based growth and that's probably due to the fact that the episodes are still half timed. Well that, and the fact that sharing the spotlight between two protagonists isn't easy. I would be able to get over it if one of them (Hyuga) wasn't such a boring,  unintersting, hyperactive and ultimately brainless generic anime protagonist. Some battles in the season are unpredictable while some aren't which does satisfy me to an extent but a lot of the arcs are really bland and cliche -most of them just being “challenge the legend and best them within 2-3 episodes” which really wasted what the series could have become and reduced it to a bore. Many favourite characters also seemed rather boring this season which is odd considering the small cast size and the fact they are in practically every major arc. The tournament arcs are honestly not that bad and I can’t help but think they are decent or good. Not only that, but a lot of battles have great animation too. The main antagonist; Lane, is awfully one dimensional and is generally a very bland character kinda like Hyuga. Another trait Lane shares with Hyuga is the fact that he is also such a bore and a lot of his battles are just “take on my flare” followed by his opponent losing. It’s almost as if they shoehorned a typical jerk into burst and gave him an anime based hairstyle. Despite that, I do like the hedgehog as it actually adds a small bit of complexity and humane trait to Lane’s character. Superking does try to tie some loose ends from previous seasons but really doesn’t do them very much justice. The only notable one was Free and Silas IMO. One of the worst things about this season is that fact that it tries really hard to ignore the events of gt. The turbo forms are nowhere to be seen and the “revolution” of resonance is now a sparking shoot which is super underwhelming. Dante is the only returning gt character and nobody seems to have heard of him apart from Hikaru (who only really references his origin for plot purpose) and Valt. Even Aiga doesn’t say much about him. Not only that, but he has the lowest amount of productively used screen time out of all the legends and they’re evidently trying to shove him into random filler episodes to make up for this. It’s just a really hard hit toward the continuity. Overall, this season really isn’t that great at all.

5: Turbo: My lord, where do I even begin with Turbo. First things first, I will say that many of the main and side cast members of Turbo are easily forgettable and not very interesting. They are scattered amongst its many disorganized arcs with hardly any valuable usage of their screen time and I’m serious when I say this. Surely there’s a reason why Laban/Hyde/Kyle/Suoh/Count Night/Evel etc are never mentioned much. I think Aiga is a nice main character who goes through good persona development all while continuing to be quite entertaining and fun to watch even if his bratty attitude sometimes seems all too real. Despite that,  they clearly power him through the season a little too easily and I’m not sure I really liked that. The arcs in this season were really random and all over the place. The dead gran arc was pointless while the battleship cruise was simply insufficient and horribly predictable. It’s also really weird how Aiga suddenly goes from regional tournament level (Luinor cup) to championship really quick. Phi is just a terrible main villain. First, he seemingly breaks beys for satisfaction which is a little weird but somewhat acceptable and then they give him that god awful backstory about him not getting the bey he wanted as a kid, nice writing there. I honestly think he should have been done as the series antagonist after the battle ship cruise having served his purpose as the catalyst for Aiga’s dark beginning and evolving resonance. On that topic, as bad as this season is, it did do the justice of setting a whole new bar for animation and battles thanks to the immense supernatural boost we got due to resonance reaching intense new peaks. I guess there is something to like after all.

Ahh that does make sense, I guess by region they meant continent. Even so, that raises a whole different problem, Aiga participating in a continent based championship so early in the series.

RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - Pixi - Mar. 03, 2021

(Mar. 03, 2021  9:48 AM)Zeutron Wrote: My ranking of the seasons:

I guess there is something to like after all.

holy mother of valkyrie, you wrote a lot
also i agree with this.
