Expand frame test - Shindog - Feb. 27, 2019

I started testing Expand just a little.

Conditions:
-layers Sr x 2 in opposite spin
- Ds x 2 (both are red ones from the triple pack and both free spin pretty well)
- 0 disk x 2
-Expand frame vs Proof frame
- I switched the layers after 8 rounds to see if there would be noticeable difference in win rate and there wasn’t.  I will do a follow up test in which I switch the drivers if I can get around to it
-soft launch both always
-20 total rounds

Sr.0E.Ds vs Sr.0P.Ds (layers are in opposite spin)
Expand    9OS wins (9/15= 60% win rate)
Proof       6OS wins (6/15= 40% win rate)
Ties.        5

Edit:

Did some additional test of Expand  on 0E.Br vs 0W.Br.  It’s not formal as there were too many ties redo just to get to 5 rounds with W/L results.

Opposite spin:  Sr.0E.Br vs  Sr.0W.Br
Wall         4 wins
Exapnd     1 win
Ties          6

No percentages given due to limited results.  Just to give a feel.  More testing is definitely necessary.  But most likely this will conclude my testing of Expand for now.

Can you try Archer Hercules 10Proof Eternal against Cho-Z Valkyrie 0Lift Xtreme’ and then try the same battle with Expand on aH?

RE: Expand frame test - KingSpin - Feb. 28, 2019

It seems like Expand is a good replacement for Bump for some drivers. It gives good LAD, especially on Bearing.

However its LAD potential doesn't beat heavier, lower frames like Wall, Turn, and Lift.

It's a good choice for LAD combos where you don't want to automatically lose a same-spin matchup (due to Wall, Turn, Lift scraping).

@[Shindog] What's Expand's weight?

I don’t remember the exact weight but I think it is top 5 in terms of weight.  Lighter than Wall, Turn, Lift I believe.
