One single request topic would be fantastic though (eliminating the need for a subforum dedicated to "Shops" and other requests). Possibly stickied to never be bumped down?

I have a suggestion. I was/am in the middle of composing the new hasbro testing thread and I thought, "wouldn't this be easier if we just had a Beyblade testing template we could put in the post and fill out?"

I guess but more along the lines of it is a button you press or a series of codes you input that create a box or template of sorts that can be easily filled out so that testing is more consistent all around. If people fill out this template and notice they left a box blank they will try harder to fill out that box. Kind of like wiki style, to give you a better picture. if that isn't possible than just a plain self written template would be ok, just not as effective

The problem is that I think that giving the template, for instance, automatically in the box field for every new topic in the Beyblade Customizations forum could make forging results easier. It has not happened a lot fortunately, but when you can just fill blank spaces it is faster to invent fake results, and I think that if you are really serious about posting results, you could just go find out what the adequate format is.

i see your point. I always wonder weather are not results or forged or not. Hopefuly the rules system i have proposed in the hasbro thread will lesson such instances. i wouldnt be suprised if many of the hasbro testings from the 1st thread were forged. Thanks Kai-V

I was thinking maybe a page about each part... but I was thinking about it, and it seemed like a lot of work. Also, you could just look up the part on a page about a beyblade with that part, and it has a detailed description of the part. But still, it is a suggestion, if more or less useless.

There is already a list of beyblade's that includes a list of their parts, and links to their article, if it exists. All browsers I know of can use CTRL+F to search a page for text. You can go to the beyblades parts list, search for the part, and see if a bey that has it has an article
Furthermore, we have pages with descriptions of types of parts, they need updating, and don't include everything, but such is the nature of a wiki.

I think it may be an idea to draw a clearer line between what questions belong in "Build Me a Combo", "Ask A Question, Get an Answer" and "Purchase Consultation". I haven't had much time to think this over right now, but I'm seeing people being bounced around between the three, being told to ask in threads where they were told to ask in the thread they're asking in. It's getting ridiculous. It never used to be this severe, so it shouldn't be too hard to clear up.
I'll probably edit this to clarify and stuff when I have time, but yeah.

It is just that a lot of the members who reply to those "question-topics" that get closed have no real idea what the actual advice is. They should leave it to the staff members.
If you ask "is this combo good???", that belongs in the "Build me a combo!" topic.
If you ask "is this part good, what is it good for, how does it work??", that belongs in the "Ask a question, get an answer!" thread.
I would write that in the opening post of the "Ask a question, get an answer!" topic, but you know that nobody reads it anyway.

I'd suggest a system where only certain people can answer/recommend but I've not really got much time to work through the complications/etc. Eh. :\

Why not use "Adopt a Newb"? Get some of your more experienced and active members to help the new people coming into the website. So instead of cluttering the forums, they ask the Adopter (or whatever....) the question and they can either answer, or lead them to the proper destination.

And it's difficult for those of use who would have to "adopt" someone. I mean, I try and steer people in the right direction, but if you're well known you already get enough PM's to keep you busy for a while every day anyway.
