Help With Fixing LR Launcher Takara Tomy - Godly_Requiem - Jul. 14, 2018 Hey, I recently bought my third LR launcher but after a bit of use there seems to be a problem, it so happens that when I hard launch my LR launcher it skips clicks and makes the Beyblade spin weak compared to my other LR launchers. Thank you for the help in advance :D (Jul. 14, 2018 3:51 PM)Godly_Requiem Wrote: Hey, I recently bought my third LR launcher but after a bit of use there seems to be a problem, it so happens that when I hard launch my LR launcher it skips clicks and makes the Beyblade spin weak compared to my other LR launchers. Thank you for the help in advance :D Also, I have unscrewed the launcher and tried replacing all the parts, I checked the spring and reset it a couple times and that didn't work. I can send pictures if you need. RE: Help With Fixing LR Launcher Takara Tomy - ultra destinus - Jul. 14, 2018 Try and check out Kevo's video about fixing these launchers. That may help you out. That should help them for sure RE: Help With Fixing LR Launcher Takara Tomy - Kry - Jul. 14, 2018 I find that with the super-heavy bey combos now especially with chouzetsu, my LR launcher seems to skip teeth. So you may need to adjust your launch technique. I find that ripping it as hard as you can from the start will cause the teeth to skip- and thus give a weaker launch because of inertia. I have tried gradually increasing the force I put into the pull, so the bey has a bit of momentum before it is launched, and I don't feel or hear the teeth skip. That being said- doing that does take a bit of practice. Thank you for the help in advanceYeah I did exactly the same thing for exactly the same problem & posted similar to you recently. Got an immediate refund from the Korean seller - was yours the Korean one or from Japan? RE: Help With Fixing LR Launcher Takara Tomy - Godly_Requiem - Jul. 16, 2018 I actually found a fix, I opened up the launcher and found out that the 8 looking part where the part is where you launch the Beyblade was a little scuffed. I replaced it and it was fixed. RE: Help With Fixing LR Launcher Takara Tomy - Godly_Requiem - Jul. 19, 2018 Thank you guys, I just fixed the problem for me recently, when opening up the whole launcher there is a part that looks like an 8. When I looked at the part (this is the part that holds the beyblade) I realized that the two nubs on the side was worn out, when doing hard launches with heavy beyblades it causes the gear the clicks it together to skip some clicks. By replacing t to a new one the launcher works fresh again. RE: Help With Fixing LR Launcher Takara Tomy - Godly_Requiem - Jul. 19, 2018 No problem at all, I'm a big fan of your channel if you want I can make a video and post it here to help you guys out. #PuttySquad For non competitive bladers you can superglue the 8 looking part so you can hard launch your cho z beys as much as you want RE: Help With Fixing LR Launcher Takara Tomy - Kevo - Jul. 19, 2018 (Jul. 19, 2018 7:04 AM)Godly_Requiem Wrote: No problem at all, I'm a big fan of your channel if you want I can make a video and post it here to help you guys out. #PuttySquad Can you point out what you mean by "8 looking part"? RE: Help With Fixing LR Launcher Takara Tomy - Godly_Requiem - Jul. 19, 2018 Sorry, I'm currently in Vietnam so I'm trying my best to send pics. How can I upload photos from my phone library to here. https://ibb.co/jyKQzJ I don't what the part is called that holds the beyblade, but under it there are teeth, the 8 part fits into the teeth, so when it's shaved off it can skip the teeth, you can superglue the circular Nubs of the 8 part to the gap in between the teeth. Warning: Try this at your own risk I'm not taking any responsibility for this. RE: Help With Fixing LR Launcher Takara Tomy - TCBlading - Jul. 19, 2018 (Jul. 19, 2018 10:16 AM)Godly_Requiem Wrote: Sorry, I'm currently in Vietnam so I'm trying my best to send pics. How can I upload photos from my phone library to here. How did you get the 8 part off? Did you use a tool? I did suspect my problem was some kind of movement inside the prongs circle causing the skipping. So are you saying glue the circular centre part of the 8 to the black prongs circle so it is stuck flush to the inside of the black prongs circle, so there is no more movement (just like my other working B-88)? I think if you create a video of this type of repair a lot of people are gonna be grateful to ya!! RE: Help With Fixing LR Launcher Takara Tomy - Godly_Requiem - Jul. 19, 2018 I will once I get home, I can't atm, sorry I don't necessarily recommend glueing though, as it is considered an illegal mod. I will show a tutorial on replacing though. You want to first remove the screws holding the black part that holds the beyblade. Then pull it out, it uses a bit of force so be careful, after that then you will get an 8 looking part connected to the launcher and pull that out after, after you do that you will see that the two nubs on the side are flat due to the teeth on it being worn out. Find another one that has more circular nubs to fit in the teeth and put it back together, this is why you don't click the beyblade back. If you do it will wear out the Nuna. So you don't need to actually remove the rest of the B-88 casings, just take out the moving prong mechanicals, right? Can I get a replacement 8 shape piece from ripcord launchers eg TT light launchers or even Hasbro ripcord launchers? I don't really want to pull my working standard TT string beylauncher apart to get its 8 bit, though I am tempted, given I don't really use it much nowadays RE: Help With Fixing LR Launcher Takara Tomy - Godly_Requiem - Jul. 20, 2018 Yes you can get a replacement of the 8 part from other Tamara Tomy drivers, and no you don't need to remove everything. RE: Help With Fixing LR Launcher Takara Tomy - TCBlading - Jul. 20, 2018 Problem fixed, thanks Godly Requiem. But instead of superglue, I folded a couple of small bits of paper one for each nub (4-8 folds thick) that is attached to the outside of the 8 shaped bit. You just jam the paper between the nub & any of the grooves that the nub is slipping against, so it doesn’t slip anymore. I tried duct/electrical tape too, it was actually too slippery & the nubs could still slide. With paper, zero slide! Full power violent Cho Z/heavy bey launches no problem now!!! Smooth & super powerful, maybe even better than when I first used the B-88!! RE: Help With Fixing LR Launcher Takara Tomy - Godly_Requiem - Jul. 20, 2018 No problem glad I could help RE: Help With Fixing LR Launcher Takara Tomy - GOD CHIPS - Jul. 20, 2018 IS using a 'repaired' LR launcher banned ? ( I suppose the answer is a straight ' NO ' but I would like to know other answers too ..) ( I suppose the answer is a straight ' NO ' but I would like to know other answers too ..) It will probably be banned especially if it becomes obvious that it performs better than another normal launcher. But, who would open up the prong assembly to inspect everyone’s launcher? I doubt how inspecting the inside of a launcher would practically be carried out or even allowed due to time constraints, at a tournament. Also, full power launches don’t always mean more wins, & could even cause a loss depending on the type of beys squaring off vs each other.
