Don't post in all caps. And it's not just Canada, it depends on the individual store. Take it up with the toy stores in your area if your really that upset about it...

yes it is definitely the pockets that are making a huge difference in the balance for the stadium

its totally not the fact that there are two exits which are not across from each other opposed to three which balance out the stadium as a whole

nope not possible

RE: General Hasbro BEYBLADE: Metal... Metal Fury/ Shogun Steel - FALL 2013 [HOBBY] - Yozzoy - Mar. 03, 2013

Maybe if we cut the pockets it'll turn into a passable balance type stadium?

RE: General Hasbro BEYBLADE: Metal... Metal Fury/ Shogun Steel - FALL 2013 [HOBBY] - Kai-V - Mar. 03, 2013

The cuts would have to be exactly the same and done exactly at the same places for everybody though.

RE: General Hasbro BEYBLADE: Metal... Metal Fury/ Shogun Steel - FALL 2013 [HOBBY] - ridbladebreaker - Mar. 03, 2013

Then somebody has to have amazing hand to eye skills using a saw or something to cut the "floors" of the pockets and not butcher the stadium.

RE: General Hasbro BEYBLADE: Metal... Metal Fury/ Shogun Steel - FALL 2013 [HOBBY] - Tri - Mar. 03, 2013

a saw? a bit excessive XD. an X-acto knife
would be good but I wouldn't want to take the risk of destroying the stadium.

RE: General Hasbro BEYBLADE: Metal... Metal Fury/ Shogun Steel - FALL 2013 [HOBBY] - ridbladebreaker - Mar. 03, 2013

Yea, I couldn't come up with x-acto then.

RE: General Hasbro BEYBLADE: Metal... Metal Fury/ Shogun Steel - FALL 2013 [HOBBY] - Yozzoy - Mar. 03, 2013

Ya, was just thinking that would be the problem, but for people that have trouble importing it could be a ok solution? Once we get our hands on the stadium we can see how feasible it is. The only other solution I can think of at the moment would be taping a weight to the opposing side XD.

Also why does it seem Hasbro is sticking to 2 pockets rather than 3, even with the MFB stuff. If I remember during the plastic generation we had stadium with 3 pockets so can someone fill me in?

BEYBLADE SHOGUN STEEL BEYWARRIOR Battlers and OCTAGON SHOWDOWN SET
Hasbro's first ever figure-based battling system is inspired by the spirits in the new BEYBLADE: SHOGUN STEEL series. Insert the ripcord into the battler, rev it up, and send it spinning into action to bring the intensity of SHOGUN STEEL to life. Each BEYWARRIOR battler is made of five pieces to allow for ultimate customization, including interchangeable arms and feature different spirits from the BEYBLADE: SHOGUN STEEL show. The intricately designed OCTAGON SHOWDOWN set arena allows battlers to spin, crash, and ricochet for optimal BEYWARRIOR battling! (Ages 8 & up; BEYWARRIOR Battlers Approx. Retail Price: $9.99; OCTAGON SHOWDOWN SET: $39.99/Available: Fall 2013; Each Sold Separately)

From the ToyFair press release from Hasbro. Keep in mind they're not soliciting EVERYTHING. Transformers only have Beast Hunter Voyagers, and the new Constructibots, for instance.

Sounds like what they did at the last toy fair, focusing on another side product. To me this kinda sounds like the hidden spirits or another series from the plastics I don't know the name of, but they were like one piece beys with the bit best figure on them. (I'm pretty sure that's what they were). It sounds kind of interesting and the stadium sounds (to me) something along the lines of a zero g stadium. Except an octagon instead of a hexagon? Just my thoughts.

Actually, those were the similarly named Spinning Spirits. They were basically what you described, except they had two parts which was the AR & Figure and then the blade base.
The Beywarriors kind of sound like a line similar to Takara's failed Cross Arms line, except without the legs, which don't look like they weren't needed and were just for decoration.

Edit: I found a Hyperblades VariAres on eBay, so it's out... somewhere...

yeah. I can not freakin' believe hasbro's bringing THIS stupid idea back. at least back in the plastic era the figures were of the actual bit beasts. these "Bey Warriors" barely look like any of the spirit representations from the anime at all. what the heck was hasbro thinking? clearly they've forgotten about the spinning spirits, as from the video I saw from toy fair, the booth guy claims that this is a new concept.

heck, if you look up video for it, you'll see why this idea won't work, and it's for the same reasons that the Spinning Spirits were not given heavy focus:

A. the figure completely screws up any kind of balance the bey could possibly have, and it's worse here becuase the figures are way bigger than the blades, where at least the Spinning Spirits were enlarged beyblades and proportionate to the Bit Beast figures

B. the figures just get in the way, snagging on each other and literally stopping the beyblades from spinning until they separate. this basically means that battles will be extremely short. the only customization that'd do anything for that would just be getting rid of the arms, but they'd still look stupid

also, the big thing to remember is that the Spinning Spirits were simply a gimmick to give kids a representation of how the Bit Beasts would emerge from the beyblades in the anime, they weren't intended for serious battles

as for the renames, it makes sense to rename them after the acutal things they're based on instead of made-up names based on those creatures, it makes them more consistent with the names of the Metal Series beys

and as for the stadiums, it doesn't seem like it matters whether there are pockets or holes. the stadium mechanic is the same, and it's likely that the pockets would also equal instant losses. the only big difference is that if a bey gets in there, you'd just have to fish it out. basically, I see nothing wrong with using them for tournament play. I know I don't make the rules for the WBO, but I'm just giving my two cents

RE: General Hasbro BEYBLADE: Metal... Metal Fury/ Shogun Steel - FALL 2013 [HOBBY] - Kai-V - Mar. 03, 2013

The stadium is so low and large that the pockets actually come in contact with the floor and seriously disturbs the swift three-dimensional movement of the stadium ...

I think you're a bit confused here. Beywarriors are not actual Beyblades with figures attached to them, so you're kind of missing the point of them. They're supposed to be unbalanced so the figures can destroy each other.

Also, they are nothing like Spinning Spirits, which were not really meant for battling at all and the figures themselves are pretty static (My Draciel's arms can barely move... wait... I don't think it's supposed to O.O). Like I said before, they're more like Takara's failed Cross Arms line, so technically this is a new concept for Hasbro.

In the end, Beywarriors are just the new side product line you'll most likely ignore once they're released, just like every other one in the past. Like those, these are really meant for the other consumers who don't really invest in the main metagame, if at all. Y'know, like younger kids.

I don't know why people are making a big deal about these beywarriors, it another gimmick that Hasbro is making......Like Beywheels some people like the idea of Battle Beast attacking each other..... No reason to BASH Hasbro for one of there ideas. I don't like the idea but ill buy some to see if they are cool or anything. "Never Judge A book by its Cover"

YTV is holding another weird contest, this time called "Get your Spark FX" :
http://promos.ytv.com/beyblade-sparkfx/

The page is more interesting because it shows what the Mercury Anubius 85XF Brave Ver. box looks like (someone here had seen it in a preview display at a store recently), and they also included images of BeyWarriors and Samurai Ifraid.

They write it "Anubis" though ... Like my initial guess, hah.

The correct order of the Faces was also quite easy to get, since you get a hint by answering the poll, and then you only have a few possibilities since some Faces are rotated and do not fit the shadows and only others do.

So, while I am not in Canada, I looked at the page :

And I wonder : What is the prize? Do you have to enter to get the prize? Or what?

RE: General Hasbro BEYBLADE: Metal... Metal Fury/ Shogun Steel - FALL 2013 [HOBBY] - Kai-V - Mar. 05, 2013

Yes, there are several ways to win outlined both on the site and in the rules :

- Make a comic slide with pre-existing pictures on the site (a feature which is not enabled right now hah);
- Answer the three questions on the poll;
- Place the Faces in the "correct" order (this is the only activity which will enter you for the grand prize).

The grand prize is basically all listed here :
http://promos.ytv.com/beyblade-sparkfx/products.aspx

The secondary prizes are one Hyperblade Metal Fury top.
