TBH this isn't really the correct place for that, Jan Unhappy

Zazziness? Lol, he's a bit derpy though, given he's so focussed on the "stats" of each part. Apparently, BS has some defensive ability, according to this guy! And seems completely unaware of Pre-HWS libra, (I haven't watched the whole thing, I can't stand his voice).

LEGEND! THUNDER! LIBRA! Unboxingvideo.

Well, he IS really energetic, and it gets kind of obnoxious sometimes. In his battle videos, if you haven't seen them, he says 'Go SHOOOOT!' really loudly, and it kind of gets on my nerves. Other than that, he's alright.

Oh, did I mention that he's on the WBO?

RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters [HOBBY] - th!nk - Jun. 03, 2011

Is he?
What's his username, and why, if he's on here, is he reading out the stats?

@ ®, It's the exact same design, as flat as infinity was (compared to libra), and apparently around the same weight (that video guy mentioned it, but his scale only does 5g increments, so it could be more/less). Looks basically identical, but if it's heavier it could be marginally more useful for defence, albeit outclassed by libra (though, Earth manages to be on the top tier list, so eh.)

Also, FWIW, there are actually some design modifications in terms of weight compensation in the Legend series, for example, Midnight is filled in under it's "hump" whereas Bull isn't, though it's still not enough.

RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters [HOBBY] - NightWolf7919 - Jun. 03, 2011

th!nk, its the same as his youtube username. Beyblades247. He's mainly focused on posting in the Beyblade Videos thread, so I don't think I've seen him around much. Its that stupid video's fault this thread has gone totally off topic, dang it!

RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters [HOBBY] - DynaZord - Jun. 03, 2011

Hey, guys, don't be baggin' on him. He's alright, sort of newbish, but he's still alright. Anyway, the only place where I've heard of Thunder Libra being found is in Wisconsin, where Beyblades247 lives. If you guys don't like how he unboxes stuff and makes beybattles, instead of talking behind his back in a thread where he probably never goes. Tell him this stuff to his face, you crybabies.

RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters [HOBBY] - th!nk - Jun. 03, 2011

I just did, check the video topic

Anyway, let's get back on topic. Does anyone here regularly use the Rev Up Launcher/ Has anyone seen someone use it at a tourney? I mean, it's the most powerful launcher (and as such seems a bit unfair, given it's Right-Spin only) but it's so difficult and fragile...

RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters [HOBBY] - DynaZord - Jun. 03, 2011

Thanks for being a man, th!nk. Yeah, I use it. It is INCREDIBLY powerful, when you launch at full power (without the locking mechanism, probably an illegal thing) WB moves like its a F bottom, RF bounces of the walls, and SF does the same as WB. Even the S series gets a little bit of movement off it. It is difficult and fragile because the mechanism is still in on mine, but when I push up against the launcher hard with the bey, I don't have to push the button to release the bey, which I like.

RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters [HOBBY] - Janstarblast - Jun. 03, 2011

Um, so does it make it difficult to launch attack beys? If its this powerful, that RF bounces off the walls, it'll be really tough to launch attack beys, isn't it?

RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters [HOBBY] - th!nk - Jun. 03, 2011

Hah, Have you ever seen me wuss out? Tongue_out That's why I asked for his username.
It's actually possible for it to launch full power without the locking mechanism, however, yeah, mine broke Unhappy

Honestly, using it for attack is insanity, because you'll self KO, every time, which means defence gets even more of a boost (though BasaltBD145 goes ape**** and can self-KO, unless you've got a perfect, completely mint CS, and even then, yeah)

I find if you pull the string at a harsh angle, it can help with mis-launches a bit (before mine died, it mislaunched a fair bit), by harsh, I mean I was burning plastic off the side of the launcher with the string.

Mine's now in pieces. It's just I'm planning a tourney, and frankly, I really think it's an unfair launcher (it's like using a hasbro stadium). Meh. Uncertain

I guess it's not really that more unfair in hasbro stadiums due to the harder-self KOing and the fact hasbro doesn't consider bouncing in and out of the pits "being ko'd", but for Us, really... I should mention this some time...

RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters [HOBBY] - DynaZord - Jun. 03, 2011

It's not really TOUGH, but when it hits the walls, it loses an unnoticeable amount of stamina and bounces toward the middle, giving a vicious attack to the bey in the center. I use it once in awhile, when I want beys bouncing over the place or when I feel like battling in the Max Stampede stadium. But I like it, my brother likes it more. But I do think it's giving an unfair advantage like when my bro faces me, I use a BeyLauncher with a grip, and my bro uses the Rev Up with a grip. Make sure you ban the Rev Up, because it gives the S series movement and more stamina to each bey. Also, when I use the Rev Up launcher with TORCH ARIES, it gives a lot more recoil to KO the other bey. It's just a weird launcher. And, to make things clear, I use a TT Attack Stadium.
Also, I see the problem with Thunder Libra. Everyone knows how the legends suck compared to their actual Pre-HWS beys, right? Right-o. The Thunder wheel is incredibly thin, as thin as the Poison or Dark wheel. Sorry if this was posted in an earlier thread, I don't take the time to read through 90+ pages of tons of posts.

RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters [HOBBY] - bumpyfelon - Jun. 03, 2011

I recently purchased Thunder Libra where tman14 purchased his. We live in around the same area; at our Target, there was one left. It's super ugly, which is why ATM, I am stripping it's paint in my ultra-supreme mega strong paint stripper. I think Thunder needs to be tested for stamina, because it doesn't have a lot of recoil, it's about as heavy as Burn, and it's the perfect shape. I just can't find my Susanow CW, which is what I use for stamina testing and battles.

So? If we're going in this direction, then might as well ban the string launcher, because it gives an unfair advantage against people who use light launchers. If the Rev-up launcher is as powerful as you say, then why not have it become a staple in stamina combos.

You make a very good point NightWolf. Gosh, I feel a wee bit stupid, now. I'd be glad to do some testing to see how long each type lasts with a Rev Up (I can't use any Basalt combos, I only have Season One beys).

Lol I was just about to post that th!nk. He actually is on here but yes, he's WAAAAAYYY too enthusiastic about it.
EDIT: Derp page not showing up again, I really should get here earlier XD

RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters [HOBBY] - th!nk - Jun. 03, 2011

Yeah. BUT I'M A MAN SO I STUCK IT TO HIM AND ASKED THE HARD QUESTIONS.
Or something Tongue_out

Nightwolf, that's not the same, did you even bother to read my post as to WHY it's unfair? Because you seem to have a nasty habit of not doing so, and forcing me to repeat myself, and TBH I'm getting more than a little sick of it."
tl;dr: It's the PTW of launchers.

I was actually referring to what Coasters was saying. According to him, it gives more stamina to each bey. Now, from what I understood from your post, you said that its terrible for attack types but they easily self-KO. Fair enough, but what about with stamina types, and possibly defense types. If it is the PTW of launchers, then it should give an enormous advantage to stamina/defense types, right?

RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters [HOBBY] - th!nk - Jun. 03, 2011

Yep, or at least stamina types (defence types are largely irrelevant in PTW because of the relative rarity of attack types).
And yes, as stamina and many defence types are the only beys that can use it's power without self KO, it gives them a big advantage over Attack types (higher RPM is always better, given all else stays equal).

RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters [HOBBY] - NightWolf7919 - Jun. 03, 2011

This could possibly level the playing field. Right now, (correct me if I'm mistaken), the metagame is dominated by attack types. Since the attack type is so dominant right now, doesn't it make sense to give a minor advantage to s/d types?

RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters [HOBBY] - Raigeko13 - Jun. 03, 2011

Well IMO I think it's being dominated by defense/stamina, because of Basalt, of course I don't read up much on the whole ordeal.

RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters [HOBBY] - th!nk - Jun. 03, 2011

The attack types are mediated by their rarity of parts and difficulty of use. Unlike Basalt 230/BD145, which you can just drop into a stadium and win with.

And it's a monstrous advantage. ATM they actually have that advantage, though if someone is gonna use it at my tourney, I'd happily call Bull****, if the WBO lets me. Uncertain

RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters [HOBBY] - DynaZord - Jun. 03, 2011

Okay, I think we've had enough of this Rev-Up launcher discussion. What happens with it happens. Anyway, so what do you guys think'll happen with Gravity Perseus/Destroyer? Do you think Hasbro will make it spin just one direction?

RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters [HOBBY] - Raigeko13 - Jun. 03, 2011

IMO, if they want to be more original, no. Honestly, it's a 50/50 shot right now, I mean yes they altered molds before, but I don't think they've altered them that much.

RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters [HOBBY] - th!nk - Jun. 03, 2011

I sincerely doubt they would do that, especially given that in the anime, it's shown using both directions Uncertain

Though I'd lol if they used mold 2 Tongue_out

RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters [HOBBY] - Raigeko13 - Jun. 03, 2011

You mean Sono Kongs mold? Is that the crappy one? Lol

RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters [HOBBY] - DynaZord - Jun. 03, 2011

I would assume yes if he lol'd it. So, if they release Perseus/Destroyer left AND right spin, would they make the Beylauncher LR? I hope they would, because using a Hasbro Left Light Launcher gets annoying.

RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters [HOBBY] - Raigeko13 - Jun. 03, 2011

Well I HOPE they release the L/R with him... I have an L/R (I have a stupid Sono Kong = Crappy mold Dx) and it's awesome, but the short stock distance where you grab it, just bugs me since I"m used to Hasbro beylaunchers. I wish Hasbro would come out with one with the longer stock Grin
But sadly they most likely won't... I wish they didn't sell them ONLY separately...
