The tornado battlers look like they can not be taken apart as suggested by them being put together already in teh package.

Don't matter. If there is an Earth Eagle one, you get Earth Eagle 240+WD. Near top-tier.

I think the xts will be customizable. They just wont be compatible with the standard beyblades.

That definitely seems illegal, even if they are customizable within themselves ...
Update :
The Extreme Top System (XTS) includes three types of tops : the Tornado Battlers, which are the insanely tall and apparently heavy spinning tops; the Electro Battlers, with LED light; and the IR Spin Control.
All three things which will be banned not only from our tournaments, but also theirs ...
Fortunately press does say that there are twenty-one new Beyblades (assortments) part of the Metal Masters series, it is just sad that Hasbro does not advertise them at all.
The centres of the Triple Battle Set stadium are also called "customizable cores", by the way.
