So I feel old - CyberKai2301 - Mar. 03, 2018

I was looking at the orignal series on beyblade wiki and after looking at some of the characters ages and doing some math, i realized they would all be in their late 20s and early 30s now (if they were real of course) I also realized the anime I watched as a child began airing 17 years ago, so yeah, I feel old now.

RE: So I feel old - shochbaum - Mar. 03, 2018

I'm 29, my seven year nephew got me into this hobby again. Believe me when I say, I understand and agree with everything you said.........it sucks to think about.

RE: So I feel old - BlueFlare1384 - Mar. 03, 2018

I'm 48! I was 30 when I got into the original Beyblade Smile

RE: So I feel old - BlackMirror - Mar. 03, 2018

RE: So I feel old - bblader90 - Mar. 04, 2018

I'm turning 28 in november, i left beyblades   around 2004 and got back into in a few years ago. I hated burst beys, i really watched them battle for entire months and thought "what the hell is this carp?". It was like TT/Hasbro destroyed the original concept, i just couldn't believe that they passed from producing dragoons, drigers etc... to release valtryeks, spryzens & co. I don't consider mfb series as they represent a completely different philosophy in beyblades world. Suddendly, i fell in love with burst ones. It was like time had never gone by, it's unbelievable... But damn, i know that i'm not 13-14 any more and i totally aggree with you when you say " feeling older sucks". Anyway, i difficultly try to not caring about that too much, because in the end i'm not a criminal/sex-drugs or alcohol addicted/children kidnapper. I just live my hobby peacefully, i don't harm anyone except for my savings :) and i can't wait for the new super z lineup to come out. I hope winning valkyrie (ehm... Valtryek v4?) 's layer doesn't suck as v3 did. It's strange, because v3 is well-shaped for attack but it's TOOOOOOO light to be competitive and the gimmick doesn't help. I tried to replace its god chip with an s3 metal one cause i liked v3 better for its look, now it weights 12 grams instead of 9,60 but it's ILLEGAL=useless...
Let's get back in the thread's real question. Unfortunately, nobody can stop time or rewind it, i really wish i could. I would fix the mistakes i made along the way, act differently in this/that situation etc... But it's called utopia, time only goes forward and this really tears me apart. I'm about to cry...

Life in a nutshell. I mean, I know exactly where you are coming from. Hell, as soon as my nephew said "beyblade" I was on board with buying a whole bunch of stuff(my wife on the other hand Angry ) but, we are having fun. I'm trying to become a judge and run events for him. So, if I can't go back in time, at least we can have fun and do a "little" damage to my checkbook. Hahahahahahaha

RE: So I feel old - Bersilus - Mar. 05, 2018

WOOOOOWWWWWW man!. That's REALLY very OG. But cool

RE: So I feel old - bblader90 - Mar. 05, 2018

I still feel depressed, damn my fkn' life :°°°(

RE: So I feel old - Suhasini - Mar. 05, 2018

I think it's all about the season you grow up with. And your attachment to that season. For me it was definitely OG, it was the season that introduced me to this wonderful anime. And I get it how you feel.. But I am still pretty happy at least Beyblade as a whole continued..:)

RE: So I feel old - Frostic Fox - Mar. 05, 2018

I don't care if I'm "old". There may be things I wish I did differently in my past, but I can't change that and I don't want to be younger again.

The young want to be old, the old want to be young. Appreciate what you have, and you won't want so much, or that's how I feel about it. Make the most of the time you have now, because you never know when it'll be up.

The older I get, the more I learn. The more I experience. Bring it, life! Cool

RE: So I feel old - EpicTurtwig - Mar. 05, 2018

Just curious, how old are ya?

Also, not meaning to be rude, but what was the purpose of this post? A proclaimation to the world, or do you want help with Beys, or what? Id be glad to help with whatever this post wanted, it just feels unclear. Cheers!

RE: So I feel old - bblader90 - Mar. 05, 2018

I'm 27 right now, it's more a deep thought about my life so far. And it's not good, tbh. I can't accept that life goes on, and the only thing a human being can do is jumping on the train to see what future's got for him/her. I don't know why, but there's a huge link to my past who doesn't let me move on with my life. Maybe i'll be like this forever, who knows. I hope i won't...

I mean it’s not necessarily a bad thing to be at an older age and have hobbies tied with childhood. I mean at 20 I’m still doing all this stuff like collecting Beyblade, yugioh and watching anime etc alongside other hobbies like playing footy/soccer and night outs. Don’t let societies expectations define you, were all unique. It would suck to be carbon copies of each other.

RE: So I feel old - Frostic Fox - Mar. 05, 2018

A quote I find helpful by C.S. Lewis, author of the Chronicles of Narnia:
Quote:Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development.

When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up

Always nice to look back at it.

RE: So I feel old - shochbaum - Mar. 06, 2018

We all get old but, we never have to grow up.

There are legal Metal Godchips for any Bey now. Look at... oh gosh I think it’s B-112? Dont quote me on that, but they definitely exist. Abour 12-15 bucks on Amazon

RE: So I feel old - Floriano - Mar. 08, 2018

"Growing up" is such a childish concept. You are an adult, you can do what you want. It's the principle of been old, honestly. Just enjoy life as you want to.

But yeah, I definitively enjoy the beyblade videos a ton of people upload, people that are so young tho. It's still quite fun and I enjoy collecting, and would like to try a tournament this year, if at all possible.

RE: So I feel old - MagikHorse - Mar. 10, 2018

I'm 25, growing up with the old Plastic and HMS beyblades, and am actually focusing to try and find them and relive the real origins of Beyblades over again. Heck, I spent probably way too much money and got a whole ton coming sometime this month, all while keeping up-to-date with burst releases.

My parents might be telling me to grow up all the while, but I know it doesn't matter. This is my nostalgia and a passion in my life, and nobody will ever take that away unless I let them.

RE: So I feel old - bblader/90 - Mar. 11, 2018

Hey everyone, i'm still bblader90. I just had to create a new account because mobile version is kinda crappy and didn't let me in anymore for unknown reasons. So, where were we? Oh right, feeling old in comparison to the things you like. Well, i see you keep supporting me and my fragile mind. Thank you all, i feel a little bit better now but the road who leads out of hell is still quite far from being completely done. Anyhow, i won't quit! I won't give up!

RE: So I feel old - RayUniStriker - Mar. 13, 2018

I'm 20 and probably the only one at my College that beyblades lol
