random layer tN vs. b-102 tN - RedPanda2 - Feb. 19, 2018

does anyone own both and tested for different performance?

I do, and random layer tN has audibly stronger clicks than the b102 version and has better burst resistance

Not a huge difference though tbh

Yeah, clear plastic is more prone to bursting but getting the ultimate reboot driver with it is so awesome you can’t decline that offer ?

some say the clear teeth may burst more on tN b-102, but some say the clear teeth on sT b-103 burst less than the colored plastic of sT random layer.

so i’d be reluctant to make up a syndrome at this point.

Huh, whaddya know, clear plastic sydrome IS a thing, but thats nkt important

RE: random layer tN vs. b-102 tN - TrainiacJ - Feb. 22, 2018

You all ignore the fact that both tN variants have the clear plastic forming the teeth...

There's no basis for any of this, just like the yellow/red mG debacle. tN has always issues with self-bursting, please so stop playing this up.

it might be worth pointing out that both are translucent, but both are not clear.

may i ask if you personally own both and have confirmed there is no difference?  i’m just gathering data because i’ve heard from several people, in person, that the b-103 bursts more even in upper mode.

maybe it’s just the stock-combo youtube echo chamber at play?

fwiw, i own both the yellow and red mG, and i do not notice a difference despite the quasi conspiracy theories.  so i do understand where you are coming from.

Maybe it's ultimate reboot thats causing the increase in bursting. Just saying.

perhaps, but i’d feel safe in assuming someone who buys prize beys and then buys the regular release understands you have to control for drivers in a direct comparison.
