I've been watching the Japanese version, and I noticed an oddity at the end of ep. 27 and the beginning of ep. 28.

-When saying Max has no shot at winning, Kyouju is downhearted in tone and attitude.
-Takao is more encouraging of Max.
-Max at first is downhearted as well, but some kind words by Tak gives him more confidence.

-When Kyouju says Max will lose, he is in utter hysterics.
-Max is confident he can win from the get-go.
-When Max loses his first battle against Michael, Tak unleashes his tirade on the former.
Anyone find that odd?
