Man, Adachi Takafumi's artstyle makes it difficult not to choose the manga in this question hah.
At the beginning the storylines were essentially the same (except Metal System and God of Bey Mawashi), but I do think that the anime brought the story to life in a great manner, with amazing music sometimes and there are some plot points that I believe were anime-exclusive that really enhanced the whole story. Ryuuga was already badass, but clearly seeing him animated and with a good voice actor just takes the whole thing to a higher pedestal hah.
