==Tournament Report==
===Preliminaries===
As there were nine participants, the preliminary stage of the tournament was structured as a round robin. Along with the London event Bring on 2K17, Baltimore Bumper Bite was the first WBO-sanctioned tournament to occur following the release of Lost Longinus Nine Spiral. Three of the experienced players, Wombat, Sniper, and Yami, already owned the first left-spinning Burst Beyblade and were excited to see how it affected the metagame. Yami primarily used Lost Longinus as a Spin Equalizer on the setup Lost Longinus Knuckle Revolve, while Sniper mainly tried it on KO Attack combos like Lost Longinus Gravity Xtreme, though he also used Lost Longinus Knuckle Revolve and Lost Longinus Gravity Hold as well. Wombat only used Lost Longinus once as Lost Longinus Spread Hold, which was used to defeat Yami's Odin Knuckle Orbit 3-0.
When the preliminary stage concluded, Wombat was in first place with a 7-1 record, with his only loss being to geetster99's Valtyrek V2 Knuckle Variable with Valkyrie Armed Yielding. Surprisingly, BimoSuryo was in second place with a 6-2 record, despite this being his first Burst Format event. BimoSuryo had Wyvern Armed Massive as his only Burst Beyblade, so he borrowed parts from Reeceroosters13, Wombat, and Yami and was able to use Kaiser Kerbeus Polish Orbit and Evil-eye Heavy Defense to win the majority of his matches, with losses only to Wombat's Unicorn Knuckle Orbit and Yami's Lost Longinus Knuckle Revolve. Yami and geetster99 also qualified for the finals with 5-3 records, with Yami using primarily Lost Longinus Knuckle Revolve and geetster99 using primarily Valtyrek V2 Knuckle Variable. As for the other participants, Reeceroosters13, Sniper, and OnTheDL were tied with 4-4 record, with their main combos being Dark Deathscyther Gravity Gyro, Lost Longinus Gravity Xtreme, and Zillion Zeus Infinity Weight respectively. Beymaster15963 used primarily Obelisk Odin Magnum Gyro, finishing with a 1-7 record with his only win being against the 0-8 CrazyMisterNo, who used exclusively Evil-eye Heavy Defense.
===Final Round===
The finals were structured as single elimination with a match for third place, and were also conducted in Deck Rotation Format. In the first round, Wombat was paired with geetster99 and BimoSuryo was paired with Yami. Wombat was able to defeat geetster99 5-4 in Deck Rotation Format, making use of Minoboros Knuckle Xtreme's Anti-Attack properties to score a match-winning KO against Valtyrek V2 Knuckle Variable, while BimoSuryo relied heavily on Kaiser Kerbeus Polish Orbit to defeat Yami's Deck, winning the match with a non-contact burst of Yami's Lost Longinus Knuckle Xtreme. Despite multiple losses to Lost Longinus combos during the preliminaries, geetster99 was able to defeat Yami in the third place match. The final match between Wombat and BimoSuryo was set to take place, but Reeceroosters13, who BimoSuryo had borrowed combos from for the match against Yami, had to leave before the tournament's conclusion. However, Yami allowed BimoSuryo to borrow parts for the final match, allowing him to construct Kaiser Kerbeus Polish Orbit, Xcalibur Armed Blow, and Odin Wing Press to fact Wombat's Deck of Valkyrie Spread Trans, Minoboros Knuckle Xtreme, and Dark Deathscyther Upper Orbit.
In the final match, Wombat's first combo was Minoboros Knuckle Xtreme, while BimoSuryo used Odin Wing Press. BimoSuryo won the first round by outspin, and Wombat opted for a rematch, this time losing via non-contact KO. This left the score 2-0 in BimoSuryo's favor. Wombat chose not to rematch this time, switching to his Dark Deathscyther combo after BimoSuryo chose to continue using Odin. Dark Deathscyther bursted Odin in one hit in the third round, tying up the score. BimoSuryo declined the rematch, and switched to Kaiser Kerbeus after Wombat decided to stay with Dark Deathscyther. The aggression of both Orbit Performance Tips caused the combos to clash head on, resulting in Wombat's combo being KOed. Wombat chose not to rematch, while BimoSuryo continued to use Kaiser Kerbeus. Wombat switched back to his Minoboros combo, landing several hard hits that almost resulted in KOs, and surprisingly winning the round when BimoSuryo's combo bursted at the last second, tying up the score once again at 4-4. BimoSuryo opted for a rematch, and the final round ended when Wombat's Minoboros self-KOed, giving BimoSuryo a 5-4 win and first place in the overall tournament.
==Trivia==- This tournament marks the first time BimoSuryo placed in a WBO-sanctioned tournament.
- The name of the tournament, Baltimore Bumper Bite, pays homage to Amaterios Atlanta Assault, a similarly-named tournament hosted by ZachBob in February 2016.
- Due to the nature of the Deck Rotation Format finals, Wombat was able to have more winning combos than matches played.

i would say move the scores and winning combos to the bottom of the draft otherwise amazing
RE: Baltimore Bumper Bite (BST) - Draft - Kai-V - Jan. 21, 2017
A fresh memory definitely helps make this article very comprehensive.
Change of plans though: there had clearly not been many Burst tournament articles written before now, but seeing as it makes no sense to change every part to its Hasbro name since barely anybody would competitively use Hasbro Beyblades, all names should refer to the real origin. Therefore, could you switch back to TAKARA-TOMY names in all appropriate instances? This is ready to be published, otherwise.
