Sins of a Solar Empire - RDF3 - Aug. 11, 2016

Discuss everything about the 2008 sleeper-hit RTS from Ironclad games here! Factions, planets, everything, you name it. Try not to spam though, it's not cool.

Yeah, this game rocks even though it doesn't cost about as much as your modern PC game to develop- only $1 million.Eee

Never heard of this game before. After googling it, it looks pretty cool.

Don't know anything about this but probably one of the coolest game titles ever.

It's a sleeper hit - it's not going to be as well known as Starcraft, Civilization, and other similar titles, but those who have played it generally liked it. See the Steam reviews if you don't believe me.

beybrad: It is a cool title. This game has no story though, the title is merely a reference to the backstory- the three factions each commited a mistake on their own and are paying for them.

real: IMO it's extremely cool. You don't even need fancy hardware to play this game at maximum setting- some rigs that contemporary games write off as obsolete can accept this game. The soundtrack is also quite nice

Be aware that since this game was made on a budget there are still programming/coding bugs/overlooks should you decide to spend money and buy it. If you guys are interested, skip the vanilla game and get Rebellion: Ultimate Edition. Last I checked it was something like $35 on Steam, and the only DLC not included another $5-Outlaw Sectors DLC.
