Game Store Owner Looking for Help!! - mazhadder - Jul. 18, 2016 Howdy all! I have seen a resurgence of interest in Beyblade in my area (and online in general...it seems like 2016 is the new 1995!) and am possibly looking to host events at my store in Howell, Michigan. I don't really have any idea of how competitive Beyblade works (ie: building custom blades, types of blades, how fighting an opponent works, etc.) and was hoping that you all could help me! I am looking for a basic introduction to competitive Beyblade and everything it pertains. Videos, written guides, really anything helps. Thank you so much in advance! RE: Game Store Owner Looking for Help!! - Kai-V - Jul. 18, 2016 This is the first time we have a request of this sort, but it is so cool hah. We have guides on tournament guidelines for sure, but I think what could help is for you to get help from our Members in Michigan directly, in person? If something could be arranged between the local community and your store for better events overall, it would be seriously amazing for all parties, I think. Here is the topic for Michigan, you should post in it to see who is still active these days and would be willing to help: https://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Michigan-USA-Tournament-Discussion Here are the guides for Organized Play: http://worldbeyblade.org/universalrules.pdf http://worldbeyblade.org/eventguide.pdf As for Beyblade, especially the competitive side, we have articles on many Beyblades that delve into their real competitive value, why they work and with what, but there is no one guide yet. What exactly would you like to read on or see explained? Certainly you have come to the right place, at least, and it is great and really positive to hear that interest is already increasing near you, ahead of Beyblade Burst's North America debut this August. RE: Game Store Owner Looking for Help!! - Hato - Jul. 18, 2016 Hey Maz, welcome to the WBO! It's awesome to see a store owner looking to host! I would recommend checking out Worlld Beyblade Organization's YouTube channel, which shows many different events and can help you get a feel of what they are like. There is also the rule book here for the rules when you are hosting a tournament. Building a Beyblade is simple (but it varies by generation); I'll explain Burst as that is the newer generation. A Bey consists of 3 parts; the Layer (widest, most colourful part), the Disk (metal) and the Driver (smallest part). You choose 1 part from each category for your Bey (choose from what ever you own) to make a Bey. To assemble, you put the notches of the disk into the open slots in the Layer, and the Driver into the hole of the Disk. You twist counter clockwise until it hits the other side of the slot.
