Ok i came to the site but when i tried to go to threads but when i clicked it brought me to a page were it said it was an invalid link. Its fine now i just want to know what happened.

Doubtful, that wouldn't bring us down. Likely just our host doing maintenance. If it's something important, someone will mention it!
