About writing! - ButterflyKnight - Jan. 18, 2016 So, I was wondering here in this section and I saw that a lot of stories here aren't finished. D: This reminds me of another story site where a lot of people posts a lot of fictions but the majority of them aren't finished. (I know, is just a hobby, but this is another talk). I'm creating this thread to talk about your writings: questions, brainstorming, complain about Writer's blocks, anything. I think some links are pretty good to put here: http://www.springhole.net/writing_roleplaying_randomators/index.html - this is from a site with some tips about writing in general, but for me, the strong point of this site are the generators - useful when you are uninspired. (that's why I put the link of the page) http://katfeete.net/writing/suestart.php - if you think that your character is overpower, take this quiz. I know there are a lot of Mary Sue tests over the Internet, but this one is a very honest one. http://writingexercises.co.uk/index.php - Some writing exercises. If you guys know more links, post them. RE: About writing! - Cake - Jan. 18, 2016 I've found Springhole's characterization guide and Mary Sue checker to be very useful for making interesting but not overpowered (or underpowered) characters. |
