RE: manga Beyblade Burst - LOL-y Rancher - Jul. 15, 2015

Eh... I've seen better. In my opinion, they look okay... in certain ways.
The guy with the red hair looks quite crazy and kinda decent.
The braided guy is hard to see but from what I see, he looks okay.
What... the hell? Who is that freaky looking dude at the back? He is as creepy as someone looking at you in the toilet.
The green hair guy reminds me of Scourge the Hedgehogs and that's fine. Seriously, he has green hair, sharp teeth and shades like Scourge.
The light blue haired guy with glasses... looks like another Kaito.
The pink hair... guy? He looks wierd.
The lime hair guy is bland.
The blonde guy is like Sora.

Wow they really really wanted to advertise their stuff huh? I know it's the purpose of the manga but damn they really wanted to stick it in, *gaspes* SHAMEFUL! Almost as cringeworthy as when I see Madoka analyse the parts with the message telling me "GO GET IT GO GET IT ITS IN THE STORE, KERCHING!"

I'm kidding of course but I wanted to let that out.

@[Wizard] Nah, that's Kyojyu/Kenny's job. Tongue_out

Seriously, did Mao and Emily slip out of your mind? Answer me that.

I'm actually rewatching Bakuten Shoot right now, so of course I at least remember Mao. But think about it this way: Have you ever seen Mao, Emily or even Hillary used in promotional artwork? I'm sure you will get a few female characters, especially considering how well this artist drew females in his last series. Save your complains until the series is out.

@[Wizard] I bet we won't. The best we would probably get is either a female mechanic or a lousy classmate that does nothing which is NOT what I want. I hope we get a female blader (and one that is nothing like Hikaru).

Besides, I have a habit of complaining but I will try to tone down my anger (even though I always get angry).

Well, it's meant for young boys and created in a sexist country...

RE: manga Beyblade Burst - Jinbee - Jul. 15, 2015

Haha then you're like me then.

But ever since then, because of someone, I have toned down my complaints to things I already know, and not say things I hope won't happen.

Wizard, It's a sexist country? I actually never knew that haha.

RE: manga Beyblade Burst - Hato - Jul. 15, 2015

Some of them are just generic or similar to others... Uncertain kind of sad, but hopefully if this goes decent, we will get better characters in the series after.. (MFB to MFB Explosion)

AND WHY DOES BLONDIE HAVE MANGAS IN HIS PANTS.

@[Wizard] Well, I suppose I could look at the bright side for once. Maybe there will be a male character that is so amazing that I may be attatched to the series.

Besides, it could've been worse. We might have had another Enzo Gracy character (which I hope never happens because I hate him).

Without wanting to make anyone feel bad, this is a really complex topic and nobody does it any favours with sweeping comments like this. We should try to stick to Beyblade here.

Also, why would you call Max a girl? I don't get the joke.

It really, really sucks that there are no women in the cast. It was utterly predictable, but I had really hoped this would be the generation of change.

@[Bey Brad] I agree. Unless that pink hair character turned out to be a female character (although it could be an androgynous character), I am beginning to think that Beyblade is going to suffer from what I call "B-Daman syndrome"... y'know? Because B-Daman lacked any female characters, let alone interesting ones and not some generic ones. I'm worried that Beyblade Burst will go that direction and have every interesting characters being a male.

RE: manga Beyblade Burst - Kai-V - Jul. 15, 2015

The full first (real) chapter can be seen here :

The blond character with the three CoroCoro volumes apparently permanently tucked in his pants is called Kiyama Rantarou, Rantarou being his first name. He also seems to always have a lollipop in his mouth, but when he launches, he bites it due to the effort and it falls to the ground. He indeed owns Ragnaruk. On top of everything, he also uses a huge fan in battles.

Sho's full name is Kurenai Sho. As we know, he owns Spriggan Spread Fusion. He was part of the competitive Beyblade scene way before Varuto, being ranked 11th.

Valkyrie Wing Accel's first special attack is "Rush Shot".

The style seems both mature and kiddish at times ... It is a huge change from previous Beyblade manga.

RE: manga Beyblade Burst - JoltCentral - Jul. 15, 2015

That was amazing! So much similarity to the Original Beyblade style and very cool how they made it closer to the way we play in the actual toy game as well! Grin i am so excited!!!

RE: manga Beyblade Burst - The Supreme One - Jul. 15, 2015

While I can't read Japanese, just by skimming through the chapter, I can already see some similarities between the characters of Burst and comparable characters in MFB. Not sure how I feel about the smaller stadium, to be honest, but I guess it's a good to see the manga reflecting real life gameplay a little more accurately. Hopefully someone will get started on an English translation soon! If not, it's a good thing I'm learning Japanese next year haha

RE: manga Beyblade Burst - Siⱺn - Jul. 15, 2015

Okay... I think I know the matches.

Valt: Valkyrie
Shuu: spriggan
Blond dude with lolly: Ragnaruk
Puppeteer guy: Kerebrus
Skull kid: Deathsizer
Sora-like kid: wyvern
The lime haired kid nobody likes: Trident.

And for some reason, the ice blue haired kid looks like Cameron Boyce

RE: manga Beyblade Burst - DranzerX13 - Jul. 15, 2015

Looks like I don't have to scan the first chapter.

RE: manga Beyblade Burst - Bey Brad - Jul. 15, 2015

I found it pretty bad, to be honest. The art is lacklustre — it looks more like a web comic — and the whole chapter only seems to focus on the toys and gameplay. Which is fine, but it'd be nice to see the world too. It really feels like they're rushing into things.

On the other hand, pretty cool to see Valt use sliding shoot to win the match Smile

RE: manga Beyblade Burst - Jinbee - Jul. 15, 2015

My final thoughts, well... Its... It's your comic...

It's something that won't be for everyone, especially not for me, it has a very stock beyblade kick start though it's development is extremely lacking, I don't really care for the characters all that much unfortunately. It's pretty cool to see different launch technique and a school setting is okay but this isn't really a good start yet, pretty bleh, but who knows the next chapters may surprise us.

That Image looks amazing! Everything looks so cool and amazing. I'm curious to see what kind of Bey the guy with the lime hair has, he looks pretty strong.

The awesome looking dude with the red hair looks like the coolest guy I've ever seen In Beyblade history (lol), but somehow he looks weak.

The person with blue hair In the very back, looks straight creepy, Is it even human? He's looks Damian when he opens Hade's Gate.

The other person with the blue hair, reminds of Kite.

The guy with the bandana looks like a quiet strategist, sort of reminds me of L from Death Note.

And man, I'm just worried about the guy with sock puppets on his hands... He has a straight face and sock puppets on his hands which really doesn't look right at all. Lol.

But anyway, I feel like this series Is going to have more of a story than MFB did. It reminds of the first gen alot.

RE: manga Beyblade Burst - Neo - Jul. 15, 2015

Oh guys.
I'm liking all of these designs, because they look like they have very interesting backgrounds.
They just don't look so generic. I could be eating my carp, though.
Also, I'm digging the kid in the purple shirt with the Spiky blonde hair.

RE: manga Beyblade Burst - JoltCentral - Jul. 16, 2015

I think the guy in the very back in blue lookin all crazy like could be Varuto. They look similar and Valkyrie is blue so maybe. Also So glad to be starting Japanese in college hehe then I can read the Beyblade mangas and translate !
