As always, I'm late to the party. - Iluvatar - Mar. 24, 2015 Hey all, My name is Kevin and I'm here to introduce myself, I'm 19 years old and I'm from Toronto. There's really not much else to say about me and I wouldn't want to bore you. Well, what better way to introduce myself than to start at the beginning of my beyblade fascination. When the original beyblade series took Canada by the storm I was definitely not spared, and oh man was I swept away. Up until then, I had never experienced something like beyblade; beyblade was so immersive, it was something about being able to actually touch the beyblades owned by your favourite blader. And not only could you touch the beyblades, you could battle them! This was its defining distinction to me. I mean, yeah, Pokemon had a show going on too as well as video games, but it wasn't hands on or nearly as imaginative. With video games, a lot of the imagination is done for you or its restricted by in-game limitations. You could argue that Yu-Gi-Oh was hands on and imaginative, but it wasn't nearly as action-packed. Eventually, beyblade ended and it faded into nothing more than a nostalgic memory of better days. And then in 2010, like a dranzer from the ashes, beyblade rose again! Granted, I didn't know about it until it hit the North American stores, but still this was a big deal for some people. So there I was, a freshman in high school, that age when you're trying too hard to be cool, trying too hard to hide the stuff you like. In hindsight, I can say that it was dumb and that you shouldn't care what people think, but I get it, with hormones running rampant, attending a new school, etc, a lot of things can go astray. This didn't stop me though, I was buying beyblades left and right and I kept up with all the new product news. There were so many times I wished I lived in Asia based on the sole merit of it having more beyblades available as I didn't have access to buy anything online yet. By the end of the Metal Masters saga, my interest had began to wane and beyblade became the least of my concerns... That is until now! I know beyblade is slowly dwindling away again and I missed out on a lot of beyblade related opportunities, events, product releases, etc, but here I am and I'm glad to be here. As always, I'm late to the party. RE: As always, I'm late to the party. - DefStamina88 - Mar. 24, 2015 This guy. He means business... Welcome to the WBO!
