Yes, that's my son.

He's very excited about the tournament next week. He has been watching videos and practicing his launching pretty much all day.

I have been researching to make sure his blades will be allowed in the tournament. It's taking a while to learn all the parts and their names and then trying to figure out if that's what he has.

Most of his Bey Blades are old ones we found on Kijiji and the stickers have worn off so it's hard to figure out what they are.

We will figure it out.

I could help you name them if you PM me pictures Smile Directions to PMing above your post.

If you look at the tier list and take the first name of the bey: ex. Wyvang Dragoon BD145 RSF, search Wyvang or Dragoon only since you can't find that bey for sale as a whole, so searching the name alone should help. Any questions you have, PM me Smile

I am excited to see you all! Check out the BeyChannel on YouTube for some techniques; some of the first videos.

RE: New guy - JJdad - Mar. 22, 2015

I've been trying to PM you for almost 2 days. I keep getting a server error. I tried both with Firefox and Chrome, no luck.

Another problem I am having is posting a photo here and in PM. How do I do that?

That is a current problem, sadly Unhappy Hopefully it will be fixed soon

You can use tinypic.com since it's free to post it. After you upload it, copy the link that uses the [IMG.] and [/IMG.] (they don't have periods, just put that there so it won't show up as nothing Smile ).

RE: New guy - JJdad - Mar. 23, 2015

Perfect. Thanks

These are the blades we got off of Kijiji. Old and well worn.

Today, thanks to this forum, we went out to a fairly new and large Dollarama and this was our haul. 5 for JJ, 3 for me, and 1 for his sister.

RE: New guy - Hato - Mar. 23, 2015

Actually, not bad purchases. Pretty good. But would you be able to flip over the beyblades in the first picture only so I can see the tracks and tips please? The beyblades all have mixed parts so I would like to see what they have Smile

RE: New guy - JJdad - Mar. 23, 2015

Here you go.....flipped

RE: New guy - Wombat - Mar. 23, 2015

Y'all actually have some pretty good Beyblades considering it's Limited Format, I'll identify the used ones for you.

Top Row (Left to Right)
Earth Pegasus CH120SD
Earth Virgo ED145B
Rock Pegasus 145HF
Storm Aries ED145B
Bottom Row (Left to Right)
Lightning L-Drago C145S
Dark Aquario C145S
Flame Eagle ED145WD

It also looks like you have an extra Dark, a Poison Metal Wheel/Fusion Wheel, and a Libra Clear Wheel/Energy Ring.

With these parts, you can make:
Lightning L-Drago 100/CH120R2F for Attack
Earth Aquario C145WB for Defense
Earth/Burn Aquario 145/100WD for Stamina
Meteo L-Drago CH120/ED145WD for Spin-Stealing.

Your Attack and Stamina combos are the most solid, watch this video to learn how to use Lightning L-Drago 100/CH120R2F to its fullest potential.

Studying the back of the boxes should give you a good sense of the naming system for the Beyblade parts if all the letters and numbers confuse you.

Also, if you see a Twisted Tempo in the store, it would be a good buy, seeing as your current WD looks scratched up pretty bad.

RE: New guy - JJdad - Mar. 23, 2015

That's awesome thank you. I've been spending some time on the wiki trying to learn the parts. I really appreciate the time you guys put into this.

RE: New guy - MissingNo. - Mar. 23, 2015

@[Wombat] I think that you forgot Aquario.

Since PM is still not working........ Here is the list of stuff that I have ordered and some stuff JJ convinced his Grandparents to order for him. LOL

RE: New guy - Hato - Mar. 23, 2015

The first and third are counterfeits, meaning you will not be allowed to use them in tournaments, sadly. The second link is like a normal launcher but measures the speer of the launch; not too much there. But it does have a grip to it which is nice. Possibly get a String Launcher in the future. The forth link is a real Beyblade that only has 4 layers instead of 5. Not too sure on its competitive use (mostly Limited).

Look out for "Rapidity". Usually when you see that, it means that they Beyblade is a fake. As said by Hato, the first and third are fakes. The second and fourth are fine (I might even pick up one of those Pre-Hybrid Pisces for myself haha). The fourth is perfectly fine for competitive use.

RE: New guy - JJdad - Mar. 23, 2015

Thanks.

RE: New guy - Kai-V - Mar. 23, 2015

Just to add to what DFB3636 wrote, you actually always need to see "Takara-Tomy" in the auction on eBay, otherwise it is basically guaranteed that the item is fake. And of course, make sure to read before that to see if it says "NOT a Takara-Tomy product", like sellers sometimes write. Sellers usually have the obligation to clearly state what the manufacturer of their products is, so you will always find a mention of that unless it is a big lot sold by an individual who is not interested in holding a real eBay shop.

RE: New guy - JJdad - Mar. 23, 2015

Thank you. I'll make sure JJ knows what he can use and can't use for the tournament. I really should have joined up and did my research before jumping in and making purchases. Oh well, live and learn.
