WBO Manga Artist Competition! [ENTRIES DUE APRIL 1ST!] - Tri - Mar. 04, 2014
Hello people of the WBO! Yours truly is here to announce the next competition of the Your Creations forum! As you can tell by the title of the thread and the above made-in-3-minute banner, this is a competition to determine the best manga artists of the WBO! Knowing that plenty of us are anime fans and/or manga fans, I'm sure a large majority have attempted to draw something in a manga style! Lets go under some general guidelines for the contest.
Competition Guidelines:
- All drawings must be done in a manga style, which should be pretty evident to tell apart from other styles of artwork.
- You must have proof that the drawing belongs to you such as your username signed with the drawing. DO NOT put text in the picture, wrote out your name. If you falsify your entry by sending in something that doesn't belong to you, you will be given a warning. No exceptions.
- Keep the entry from being too graphic. Refrain from gore, nudity, etc.
- Follow the general your creations guidelines.
- You can only post your entry for criticism AFTER it has been sent to me. Failure to abide by this will disqualify you.
Each round will have a separate theme to base your entry on. It could be specified quite specifically, or not.
If you plan to participate then send an entry to me by Saturday March 8 11:59 PM EST. There is no limit to the amount of participants. If you send your entry after the deadline, you will not be able to participate. All entries will be judged by me and a certain amount will advance. The amount depends on the quality if your entry. Here are some entry guidelines.
Entry Guidelines:
- You can color, shade, or doing anything you want really to your entry as long as its in manga style.
- Make sure it abides by the site rules of course like states in the Competition Guidelines.
- Make sure it relates to the theme for the round.
All right I think that about covers it! Now for the first round theme ...

Yep, that is it! Make it pirate related whether its original or fan artwork! Go, go, go!

1: Are we aloud backgrounds?
2: We're aloud to draw as many characters as we want if we stick to the theme, right?

I sent my registry entry already; The Alchemist, the OP said to send him an entry based on the theme before the deadline to enter, and afterward he will judge them and make cuts.

The problem here is that you've created a tournament which targets very few of the active members here, as opposed to one, for example, Photography; where basically one with a camera and a Beyblade can participate in and don't need that much effort and time to invest in.
Try setting a poll or create a thread in which what kind of tournaments people would like to see here or something.

I figured everyone would like some diversity with the contests, rather than the non-original photography/writing ones.
I'll definitely post a thread regarding that though.
