Minecraft Plugins/Mods: BEYBLADE mod - Meeper - Feb. 24, 2014

NOTE: I didn't know where else to put this thread other than your creations so here it is!

ok so I got bored so I am making a plugin that is supposed to make beyblade in minecraft possible, (it is a minigame I am adding to my friend Remy's minecraft server, for time being the server is a private server)
So first all the commands it adds Note: all commands shown are
Normal (any player op or not can use this):
/BeyBattle Challenge <player> ; Challenges that player to a Beybattle (already complete)
/BeyBattleAccept <player> ; use this to start the beybattle with the opponent (already complete)
/Tournament Enter <tournament name> ; Enters you in the next tournament
/BeyBattle Profile ; Brings you to a menu for customizing your bey, current amount of beypoints, and the store where you can buy parts for customization.
Admin commands (only Opped players can use this):
/BeyBattle Stadium Add ; Brings you to a menu, all published singleplayer maps can be put as a beystadium, the stadium players battle in is completely random, a 100:1 scale BB-10 stadium map is included.
/BeyBattle Stadium Delete <map name> ; deletes map Note: once deleted you cannot recover it.
/BeyBattle Tournament Create <Name> ; announces a tournament and when players are ready the tournament begins, spectating for normal players is allowed.

Things to add:
I am working on a storyline part of the plugin, fighting with the legendary bladers against nemesis is the one im working on.

Note that I created this for fun and that download is not available, but when we are done with the server, you will be able to play beyblade on minecraft!

Will this be an app or could you make it as an app?

no, it is craftbukkit, on minecraft, you download craftbukkit ( www.Bukkit.dev if this link does not work search bukkit on google) then you search the plugin (BeyBattle) (its not out yet though) and then download, if you have a server put the file in the Craftbukkit plugins folder and bam! just set the stadium and get players!

And as in app you mean phone? if yes then it would not work, craftbukkit plugins dont work in pocket edition minecraft.

And I have a few updates about our server, Now on my twitch I said about getting moderator/admin ranks, it is now closed (i cant post often on their so i post it here) We have the players chosen here it is:
Moderators: Me (Meeper2creeper), FleshOatmeal
Admins: JuniorJenius, 0Amanda0, waterwolf24, jvid
Head Admin: Cuddlemuffin123 (He is also Co-Owner)
Owner: remynfv

And our server is currently in the latest 1.8 snapshot, the server will be open when 1.8 comes out for everyone! (may be a while nothing is fully planned)

RE: Minecraft Plugins/Mods: BEYBLADE mod - Meeper - Feb. 25, 2014

Ok im not trying to spam but I have some terrible news about this plugin...

My friends server did not have enough RAM to have this awesome game.
(the plugin takes 2 million Gigabytes of memory on you computer to use it, no server on minecraft has that much ram. aww meep im even questioning if there even is a website with that much ram)
BUT, that does not mean we are giving up on this idea, I am really hoping that this will be a real mod soon, I am still working on this, but Craftbukkit does not have much more ram for me to make this plugin, on craftbukkit, a plugin can be only ONE Gigabyte, they already are nice enough to give me 1.5 gigabytes more ram for my plugin, but my plugin wont work by the looks of things.

So given my friends server wont have the plugin, his server opening will be on another thread because it would be off-topic on here now.

Now for the GOOD news:
Our server will be opening somewhere in March for those who want to know, and there will also be two events coming up that month on this server: Grand Opening, and My birthday party is gonna be done on the server :)

The server discussion will be done on a different thread soon.

2 Million Gigabytes of RAM? Either you've misunderstood something or someone is lying.

RE: Minecraft Plugins/Mods: BEYBLADE mod - Meeper - Feb. 26, 2014

it really is that much ram, my plugins, especially mods, takes up a huge amount of ram, first of all, to prove to people i didnt just spend 5 minutes on the plugin, (many plugins on bukkit are made to spread viruses, so the plugin does not add much ram, mine on the other hand, does not and the huge amount of ram it takes is proof) about 999,999 GB of ram is blank and is either going to be used for more features, or just for proof that it is not a cheaply made mod, and Craftbukkit gave me 2000000GB of ram for my plugin, thats true they have the ram, they have lots of ram because of how much their website requires, having almost as much users as WBO. and about 200000000 threads being posted in only an hour. they have enough ram to give, but they only give it to players who have interesting and/or popular plugins.

And on the forum post on Bukkit's question (Posted on both sites to avoid spam): The server IP is hidden right now, we have plenty to do before this gets even close to being open (Making larger lobby, doing more coding for custom plugins, and more difficult stuff)

20,000,000 threads in an hour? Seriously? No. Why use a site that gives virus's?

Obviously, not all plugins on there are bad, just some idiots think they should be mean and make so-called "Cool Plugins" that thought they say they add all this, but they dont, happens to be im a Moderator on there and I have spent about 1-3 hours a day just deleting these posts, hoping nobody downloads them, and i have lost about 30 laptops just testing them on my server. Some plugins on there really are legit and add what they say such as ColorChat, it adds a basic way to do colored chat. And most posts are spam on bukkit such as "lol" posted 100 times, good thing this site doesnt allow spam! Very rare for me to find a good post on there, im still asking the owner to not allow spam... But in general, most of that 20,000,000 posts are just pointless posts repeated 100 times and not all plugins on there are bad.

Sorry for getting a little off-topic on this post.

RE: Minecraft Plugins/Mods: BEYBLADE mod - Synth - Feb. 26, 2014

Okay, you're either exaggerating your figures or your absolutely lying to us. I'm going for you're both exaggerating and lying to us.

First, No computer (not even a server room of sorts) can hold 2 million gigabytes of RAM. It would possibly take 3 Olympic sized Swimming pools filled with 64 GB compatible ATX motherboards with atleast a decent GPU and CPU to process it. Even that would generate a lot of electricity, which would be impossible unless it was generating it's own power source (talk about a trillion watts).

Second, a plugin/mod would NOT reach 2 million gigabytes of RAM. Base from what you're telling us(and from what I understand in modding) the mod only needs at least 1 GB of RAM for it to work properly. You're either too messy to code, using way too much high resolution images for your plugins/mods, or you're really weak when it comes to figures.

Third, why would you INTENTIONALLY add that much of RAM? Are you seriously going to think that "the higher the RAM needs, it would look pro"? NO. It actually makes people dislike your work. No one would sacrifice large amounts of money for 2 million GB of RAM. I've seen a lot of great mods and plugins that work so well with a little bit of 1 MB, and they never spread Viruses. I don't know what your philosophy is, but whatever it is you better change it.

Fourth, why would you sacrifice "30 laptops" just for testing some plugins? Hell, I only use a very outdated laptop (2000 HP laptop) But I cherish every moment with it, and you're just telling me that you wasted 30 laptops to test plugins? Wow, just, wow.

EDIT: Yeah, maybe that was a bit harsh. Oh, apparently this edit seems to have erased the Warning label (Whoops, just knew about that). Wont happen again

RE: Minecraft Plugins/Mods: BEYBLADE mod - Meeper - Feb. 26, 2014

first of all, phew, HUGE post, second, can we go back to the main topic, the actual server and plugin PS the reason why the plugin is so ridiculusly huge is all my friends from throughout the world share some of the ram to do this, tho im thinking to reduce the lag im just gonna take out alot of ram, and keep possibly one extra gigabyte, to make it work for what it was intended, going on servers, my internet and computers are suffering from extreme lag (0.01FPS, takes 5 minutes to load anything now even though im using one of the best computers out there for not lagging)

And actually, compared to most of the spam on Bukkit plugins, I think im not all that messy, just become a Moderator on there and check the coding of other's, even some small plugins like justAFK take almost the max

Not tyring to do hundreds of PS's but PS: Synth I've got PM's like that hundreds of times throughout all sites, im actually on some sites one of the most hated, so trying to upset me if thats what you are trying to do, it wont upset me.

RE: Minecraft Plugins/Mods: BEYBLADE mod - sarabscientist - Feb. 27, 2014

Okay so uh, I've read through this (three times actually, to be exact) and have come to the following conclusions ...

This seems like a very unique and interesting plugin! It is obviously highly complicated since nobody else can wrap their heads around the programming and so I do not think there is anyone here who has the proper resources to help you at this early developmental stage of your immense plan.

Maybe in the future when this special project of yours comes to life, you can come back and try asking for help. Sorry, but if 2 million gigabytes of memory and 30 laptops didn't do the trick, I don't know what could Unhappy

All the best,

- Sarah
