This is a heads up to all my fellow Bladers in the Toronto area. I went around town today, hoping against hope, that the wave 2 Blades are out. As I was searching, I came across A.K. Comics (on Kennedy and Sheppard). They had a bunch of Earth Aquilas and an L Drago. Unfortunately they had the GG Logo on them. Afterward, I went to pacific Mall to meet up with some friends. The place is overrun with GG Beyblades. I am saddened that there are so many fakes running around.

I'm sure people who live in Toronto are aware of this. Unless they have been living under a rock or are in denial that GG and BAN are not fake Beyblades then this is really old news.

Depends it was quite easy with the old ones since the copyrights were written everywhere. You can tell easily now by how much it ways in your hand and the colour of the Bey.
EDIT: Not the actual colour of the Bey but that could be a factor since I've seen a fake Rock Leone before and it's a bit light for the clear wheel but mostly look at the metal it starts to turn into different colours sometimes like Earth Aquila.

ya the beys i bought on my vacation were by ban that was a mistake on my part and is there any takara or sono kong beys in the toronto area cause i want to know where to look

Hasbro's Earth wheel is suppose to be heavier, so better defense oriented, from what members told me. Also they might stand for Korea/Japan-Town, o.o?

Hey, I've noticed a couple of times lately that some people were having trouble figuring out the legitimacy of plastic gen. beyblades. Therefore I feel that I should give some tips having studied Japanese for nearly 5 years now as well as doing research on Takara. During the plastics era Takara was using stylized katakana Ta Ka and Ra for their logo. Not the stylized latin letters they used between the end of the plastics era and the Tomy merger. To display this lets look at this image of the Japanese Driger V2 and I'll show you.

Looking in the white box at the bottom of the box you'll see what I'm talking about. For a check and balance on this here is a Katakana chart.

As you can see you can find the equivalents easily on this chart. I hope this helps clear up any issues with the legitimacy of plastic era blades.
