Interesting, I'm looking forward to the videos.

On a side note, aren't they using the WBO's thumbnail to sell their fakes?

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Hato - Mar. 09, 2016

Yeah, that is the thumbnail from the first impressions video done by Kei for BeyChannel, I think.

Surprising they are using that thumbnail.

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - originalzankye - Mar. 09, 2016

That's the Indian Seller of amazon.in that sells fakes who's using the thumbnail, the one we ar doing the review is from California and uses the same pictures on ebay and amazon.com

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Zoroaste - Mar. 09, 2016

Yeah I hate sellers that do that. Using pics of legit beys to sell their fakes. Even if it says rapidity, it is a fraudulent pic and therefore a fraudulent listing. We should all be reporting these listings to ebay and amazon when we see them.

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Kevo - Apr. 09, 2016

So I guess they make a fake start dash set now.

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Burst - Apr. 09, 2016

Hey,
Even in Amazon.in they have a Fake Beyblade Burst VS Play Set.
The photos are of Start Dash Set but its the VS Play set as written in the Description of the Product.

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - SuperKirby64 - Apr. 28, 2016

Really? Its not even hitting America yet and counterfeits are already starting to pile up... Now that I think about it, Kohdok's "conspiracy theory" of Takara Tomy intentionally creating the burst system as an anti-counterfeit measure is making a bit of sense now...

Lol!!! It says in the listing under product details: "Manufacturer's Minimum Suggested Age (years) 36"

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Angry Face - May. 05, 2016

I recently purchased two loose B:Ds like the one to the right in these pictures from this auction on eBay, and while the seller claims the Bottoms were made by Takara-Tomy, I'm beginning to have doubts after having noticed that the plastic casings of their cores are lower, their shafts are looser than my old used one's, and their yellow plastic casings are both a slightly darker and less opaque.

Does anybody actually own a B:D that looks like the one to the right in these pictures that they know came from a Takara-Tomy Phantom Orion like the one on the left?

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Cake - May. 05, 2016

I have owned two legitimate B : Ds, one that matched the left one in your picture (an excellent 7:30+ mold) and one that matches the right one, wobbles and all (terrible, 3:00-3:30). However, my loose one is actually a more transparent and lighter shade than the good one.

From just looking at the pictures... those are not fake, but I'd have to look at them closer to be sure.

I do not believe there was a fake company (rapidity for example) who has produced a Phantom Orion with the correct moldings and a real bearing inside it.

I received a fake Amazon Rapidity one and boy... it is blatantly awful and does not have a bearing. It has just the straight shaft and was poorly assembled... and the shaft metal is different, much smaller.

If you want to verify them you can do a few things but this does not always 100% confirm it of course.

This applies to TT/Sonokong MFB 4D.

1. The staple TT/Sonokong plastic swirl.
Almost all real semi-transparent beyblade parts by TT/Sonokong will have a swirl of some kind in it. The plastic almost appears to have a crack in it for example, at seams and other thin areas of the beyblade. They don't use a fully opaque plastic for gold, it almost appears to have micro specks in it. It's a very nice feeling plastic as well. Sleek.

In the B:D in particular there should be a seam where it was cast on the shaft leading to the tip down one screw or the other. The plastic should look like it has a crack but it's just an illusion and after product of their casting methods.

2. The mold number.
In most counterfeit beyblades, they use cheap and primitive methods to copy molds. They either clay mold it or use wax, which often times cannot capture the very minute details of the beyblade. Mold numbers almost ALWAYS disappear in these methods, and as a result, pretty much every fake beyblade will not have a mold number.

For B:D, the mold number is on the opposing side of the tip. Oriented away from the middle, with A#, and slightly larger font than other pieces.

3. The Screws.
TT and Sonokong screws almost always have a very very slight golden brown tinge to them, almost like they're starting to rust. But they can be silver as well.

For B:D, it can come with either a Philips Head(+)/Triangle head tinge/silver. I'm not sure why there is a variance.

I have five B:D. My gf has one.

I have one Sonokong Triangle Head and four tinged philips Head.
One is dark gold, and four are light shaft.
One has a shorter shaft, four are longer.
Mine have varying levels of wiggle.

Her's is silver philips screws, light yellow shaft longer with little wiggle.

Due to mold variances and wear, it's possible for the bearing to be slightly crooked, slightly lower and differing colors of yellow/gold.

I am one of the folks watching that. I might buy that lot too, just to see. The guy has a lot of loose tracks and such, but a lot of other beyblade stuff as well... but so did Crick7 and a lot of other trusted sellers.

Looks pretty much like the original, but we can't really see if there's an actual bearing or not.

Gotta love those ''SUPERIOR MATERIALS''. :p

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Kai-V - May. 09, 2016

Hm, and "Top Plate" is Sonokong's brand, OK...? Nobody even associates a plate with a spinning top or 'blade.

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - SuperKirby64 - May. 10, 2016

Well, gladly (or sadly, depending on what you think of it) it's the same thing for all of its products, so I'd assume all of the people who unknowingly ordered the Valkyries/spriggans in those previous posts would receive that type of packaging.
Also... While looking to see if rapidity had anything else in terms of Burst stuff... I did stumble upon this "thing"...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Beyblade-Fight-Masters-Metal-Fusion-Constellation-Rapidity-Battle-Set-Gyro-Toy/252378987570?_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D36502%26meid%3D828ab244915c416e81e5b95aab8ee47d%26pid%3D100033%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D252378987570
This... What is this... What is... huh?... What?... So many things wrong... and it's not even looking at the listing itself...

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Zoroaste - May. 10, 2016

Finally got these in, figured I would get them for practicing launching and warming up and stuff, even though I kinda feel bad about supporting the company. I really wanted to see what they were like though. All of them have Defense except Ragnaruk, who has Accel, lol. They are about 1 gram lighter per part and the teeth are all very similar. The launchers are complete garbage, already wore one down in like 10 launches. All in all, the are a waste of money, even if they are super cheap, save your money for real burst and don't support these scumbags. Just use your old beat up layers and parts for practice, a more realistic practice too
Click the link for more pics. They dont look that bad in the pics, but in person you can tell that they are fake right away, the plastic is a lot cheaper and lighter and the disks are alot shinier

I can't take a picture right now. But i was searching "Flame Libra T125ES" on Google. And it wasn't a clear orange-ish T125ES.

But mine was, i can't seem to find any Clear orange-ish T125ES on any of the three original manufacturers of Beyblade.[/align]

IIRC, there was an Earth Virgo T125 ES with a translucent orange track and tip

Any word on fake dual layer beys?

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Kevo - May. 28, 2016

BUYER BEWARE: A new seller by the name of "X-Bey Customs" is making fake limited edition/special edition versions of several beyblades. Judging from the listings and descriptions, it's none other than "johnmiller" under a new seller name.

Check out his listings here:
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=bl_dp_s_web_0?ie=UTF8&search-alias=aps&field-keywords=X-Bey+Customs

I found it pretty crazy how he touched up the official pictures to look like actual limited editions.

EDIT: His actual seller name is "songrao". His pictures all have the watermark of johnmiller.

I'm really curious to see how this stadium is to regular blades... All I know is that they break really easily... and that over 1000 people were fooled into buying it...
