RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - MXD1080 - Dec. 21, 2010

you know another way to see if its fake

(well if your friend gets one and doesnt show you the box)

is usualy to compare the metal wheel's weight to an original i notice that theyre usually (but not exactly always) lighter than the originals . I noticed this because i deliberateley buy fakes first before buying an original to really see its performance so I know its gonna be a great purchase . Almost all fakes have different weights even if with the same metal wheel .

and also fakes are prone to breakage if you can break it on the first couple of tries its fake

(I buy fakes because im cheap)

Reasons why it's fake:
-No Hasbro, Takara Tomy or Sonokong logo
-No WBBA sticker on the box
-It says Rock Leone instead of Burn Phoenix

OP needs to be updated by the way.

I went to a store that sells toys. I saw that exact kind of Beyblade. I lol'd so hard at it when it said "Rock Leone" instead of "Burn Phoenix". It didn't even say Hasbro.
I was about to bring this up , but I found that first.

Are beyblades not copyrighted by Takara or Hasbro and sono? so how can they make fakes without penalty?

These sorts of laws are not as strict in countries like China, or they really do not check enough and do not have proper consequences to those acts, it seems.

I saw some fake beyblades the other day in a store called Comic World.
They had a strange Sol Blaze starter... and a Burn Pisces starter as well Confused
They were all 10 dollars, so I was planning to buy one cuz a gold Burn wheel looks nice, even if it is fake...

there was also Meteo L Drago, Ray Unicorno, and Gravity Perseus. Weird thing is, these boxes didn't have GG, PegTop, or TT Hongli. It simply just did NOT have the TakaraTomy logo or SonoKong logo. Where the logo should be, was just not there.

Also all the starters come with Beylauncher LR for some reason.

Anyone seen these fakes before?

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Kai-V - Dec. 27, 2010

There are a lot of fake items on this site :
http://www.webdiscountfrance.com/42-beyblade

I thought somebody had posted once that nobody copied Hasbro because there were necessarily severe copyright laws in the Western countries ...

"SRTOM PEGAUSS", which is actually an Earth Bull I think; "RCOK QAUARIO", which is a Flame Escolpio ... I know there has to be a certain number of differences for it to not be considered 'complete' copyright infringement, but that is ridiculous.

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - To - Dec. 29, 2010

Considering they stole the molds, and are using the logo on packaging, there's no "we changed enough" defense to save them. But it's not like Takara Tomy, Hasbro, or Sono Kong can go after these companies. There is simply too many of them in a country that doesn't care.

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Soundwave - Dec. 30, 2010

besides, I doubt it affects there profits enough to deal with these companies :\

althought fakes are sorta going to be everywhere.
I remember when the plastics had fakes that were everywere. Its almost impossible to avoid fakes when they hit the market. so i gess you just have to watchout for 'peg-tops'
actualy in the usa there isnt so much fakes....but im sure back in mexico there is lots
