About each beyblade
Samurai Ifrit/Samurai Ifraid W145CF
Quote:Face Bolt: Ifrit/Ifraid
The sticker illustrates Ifrit, a mythical creature of fire. The mark represents a simplistic demon head with small horns and some flames, on a translucent red X shape face bolt.
Warrior Wheel/Chrome Wheel: Ifrit/Ifraid
Like most Zero-G Beyblades, Ifraid's design is interrupted by a hole at one of its extremities to allow the Crystal Wheel's crystal to protrude through it. The rest of its design shows an engraved Ifrit face one one side, with two long horns reaching all the way to the other side, where a few flames are drawn into the metal, close to the hole. Testing has shown that Ifraid provides smash attack, but can be even more useful as the bottom wheel in Synchrom with Gryph in the combo MSF-H Ifraid Gryph W145R2F, as it has its main contact points exposed by Gryph.
Elemental Wheel/Crystal Wheel
This Crystal Wheel has a general shape that tries to embrace Ifraid's own relief curves. On one side, it has a big orb known as a crystal, and it is the part that truly combines Samurai with its Chrome Wheel. To compensate with this big orb, the other side is generally bigger so an overall balance can be gained.
However, Samurai can also be placed right on top of Ifraid. In its Chrome Up Mode, Samurai barely protrudes on the sides of the Ifraid Chrome Wheel, but, following this mode change, in Crystal Up Mode, it logically absorbs most if not all of the impacts and offers a completely different performance.
Track: E230
E230 is a mechanical upgrade to the regular 230 Track. Its core is modified to accommodate, along its whole height, the ascent and descent of a free-moving disk, hence the term "elevator". This disk however does not freely-rotate around the Track like ED145, and its vertical position cannot be fixed. E230 works almost essentially for the Zero-G Stadiums, because its gimmick requires a lot of movements up and down to function well. As the Beyblade comes down, E230 comes in contact with the sides of the stadium, and this contact is maintained all the way to the bottom, which theoretically allows the Combination to keep its balance despite the erratic movements of the Zero-G Stadiums. This allows it to stumble over even less, which is useful since it isn't a rare occurence in those stadiums.
E230's disk can be flipped over to create a sort of "boost mode" similar to BD145. The disk can be placed in such a way that it either lies fairly low on the track, or slightly elevated around the middle. In the latter configuration, the disk moves up and down much less than in the former. When used in a non-Zero-G environment, E230's disk provides additional defense compared to a 230 track. Its wide diameter, equivalent to BD145's disk, can absorb hits from low- to mid-height attackers. Despite this, it is not a direct upgrade to 230 because it performs significantly different aerodynamically and balance-wise. It is considered to be a top-tier defense track because of its height and the defensive nature of the disk, which can deflect attacks that normal 230 tracks cannot. Hasbro's E230 is more tight than Takara Tomy's.
Tip: GCF
As an upgraded version of Circle Flat, GCF is a Flat Bottom with a slightly larger tip, mounted by a huge disk. Instead of its circumference being smooth like CF, the edges of the disk have ridges that evoke the feel of a mechanical gear. This gimmick is meant to embrace the curve of the Zero-G stadiums and also create less smooth movement patterns around the stadium for the Beyblade using GCF. The flat portion of the tip is wide, comparable to an XF, creating extremely fast and aggressive movement. GCF creates significant floor scrape regardless of stadium used. In a Zero-G stadium, the wide disk of GCF helps reduce the instance of exiting through a pocket, making it a superior choice for tip compared to other Flat bottoms.
Ninja Salamander/Shinobi Saramanda SW145SD
Quote:Face Bolt: Salamander/Saramanda
This Face represents a Salamander, which, apart from being a real amphibian, also inspired some myths where that creature is not harmed by the fire element. The Face mark therefore shows a childish representation of a salamander with a flame in or on its abdomen, on a translucent yellow orange X shaped face bolt.
Warrior Wheel/Chrome Wheel: Salamander/Saramanda
Besides the obligatory hole on one side of Saramanda, this Chrome Wheel's design generally consists of lines of scales and points coupled with some curves on the sides, near the hole. There are also two other smoother areas atop Saramanda, to break the patterns of sharp scales. Block-like parts reminescent of Leone's paws adorn two other portions of the sides as well.
When used as the top Chrome Wheel in a Synchrom
Saramanda is decently heavy, and slightly imbalanced, so when on the top of a high Synchrom, it is great for providing the weight and wobble that a Force Smashing bottom Chrome Wheel needs. Saramanda does have some minor Smash Attack, which makes it a good Chrome Wheel to assist and add weight to a Smash Attack Synchrom. It also has above average Defensive qualities and can be used in Defense Synchroms when Revizer is not available. However, if one Revizer is available, Saramanda should be placed in the Synchrom where it is not the main contact point for the opponent, such as in MSF-H Revizer Saramanda E230RDF/RB/CS/RS.
When used as the bottom Chrome Wheel in a Synchrom
Saramanda has little to no Force Smash, so with the exception of assisting in a Force Smash combo, Saramanda performs the same on the bottom as it does on the top of a Synchrom. Again, when using it in a Defense Synchrom, if one Revizer is available, Saramanda should be placed in the Synchrom where it is not the main contact point for the opponent, like in MSF-H Saramanda Revizer BD145RDF/RB/CS/RS.
When in Synchrom with another Saramanda
Saramanda's side contact points line up almost to perfection when it is put in Synchrom with itself, and seems to have good balance since its weight distribution is consequently symmetrical. Because of this equilibrium, it has some minor Stamina potential, but not top tier. The combination of its weight, balance, and minor amount of Smash, make this an excellent choice for an Anti-Attack Synchrom. Saramanda Saramanda can also be used in a Defensive combo in the likes of MSF-H Saramanda Saramanda BD145/E230 RDF/RB/CS/RS when Revizer Revizer is not available.
Element Wheel/Crystal Wheel: Ninja/Shinobi
Shinobi's structure is very flat, but the upward protrusion that acts as the crystal that shows within Salamander's hole is much more cylindrical than Samurai's. These shapes serve in allowing a particular mode change: Shinobi can be flipped and placed on top of Salamander to be in Crystal Up Mode. This underside-now-top reveals a lot more relief: some long, angled curves cover the more scaly part of Salamander, on the opposite of the crystal, and a few circular shapes generally follow the Chrome Wheel's structure quite well. That mode change allows the Crystal Wheel to absorb the shocks, and changes its performance significantly. Like any other Crystal Wheel, Shinobi is however too light to be effective versus all Synchrom customizations.
Track: SW145
SW145 has three 'wings'. The gimmick of this Track is the ability to change from Attack to Defense by taking off the wings, and then putting them on the opposite way. The purpose of this is the ability to adapt to opponent Beys. In Attack mode, which is denoted by six grey claw-like stickers on the underside, the pointed ends of the Track are used for Smash Attack; meanwhile in Defense mode, shown by three triangular blue stickers, the edges are more rounded, in order to deflect opponent Beys. The modes are reversed for Left-Spin Beys. Testing has shown that SW145 is quite useful at attacking lower opponents in a similar fashion to H145 and R145. It is however outclassed for Defense purposes by GB145, BD145, and 230 due to the recoil it produces.
Tip: SD
SD is the reason to buy this Beyblade. Just as the Semi-Flat Bottom has a sharper tip than Flat, so too does Semi-Defense when compared to Defense. Before the release of SD, D was the absolute best Stamina Bottom available, but SD quickly took over the top spot, as is evidenced by the following tests:
Virgo DF145D vs. Virgo DF145SD
Balance Stadium
Alternating Shots
Beylauncher
20 Battles
Results:
Virgo DF145SD: 18 wins
Virgo DF145D: 2 wins
SD win percentage: 90%
SD is not able to wobble as much as D, so for defensive purposes, D should still be chosen over SD if you are trying to add some Stamina to your Defense custom. That being said, WD would be a better choice than D for that situation, and also arguably for Stamina as well because with the even wider tip. With it, it is allowed to circle the stadium in some situations when it is on a larger angle towards the end of a battle, thus outspinning D or SD based opponents. However, sometimes this does not happen, and SD easily knocks over the wobbling WD custom before it topples over itself.
It really comes down to personal preference when deciding whether to use SD or WD because they are so closely matched. For pure Stamina it impossible to tell which would win a given match, but WD would prepare you for more situations by being able to take hits better than SD. Test both and decide for yourself which one works best for what you are trying to do.
Overall
Samurai Ifrit offers Ifrit, E230, and GCF. Ifrit has found use in attack type customizations, E230 is an excellent destabilizer and defender, one exaple is Revizer Killerken E230RB/RDF/CS, and GCF is excellent in tornado stalling, sway attack, and LAD. Ninja Salamander offers Saramanda and SD. Saramanda is a good defender and a good wobbler as well, as can be used as an alternative. SD is an excellent stamina performance tip, and has found use in many combos. Samurai, Ninja are useless because their light weight, compared to Sychrome. While SW145 has use with three sided attack type metal wheels, all the metal wheels(i.e, Vari Ares) are outclassed. Considering how easy it is get the useful parts, unless you already have the parts, seriously competitive bladers should buy multiples of this set.
RE: Ifraid Salamander Fire Synchrome 2-Pack - Ocean - Sep. 21, 2013
Actually, you shouldn't buy this because you can get GCF, E230, an SD in cheaper starters/sets like dark bull or thief Phoenix. SW145 is pretty outclassed and now useless.

in the overall section you should state what Ifrit and Salamander are good for and maybe give out some combo`s

Think about it this;
You are a blader.
You don't have an eBay account.
Toys R US is 3 blocks away, which would be a nice walk.
I get what you're trying to say, but if you buy this set, there would be no need in trying to look for Theif Phoenic, or Samurai Ifraid, or Ninja Salamander, or Dark Bull.
