Poems - Achi-baba - Apr. 18, 2013
I'm currently working on a poetry project and I wanted to share the ones I wrote, while looking at other peoples.
This one is nerdy Ode to Bumblebee
Just last night, I saw a bee
Apon the likes I never thought to see.
He bore small wings that did not flap
He did not drink the flower's sap,
Bathed in metal that glimmers and gleams
Wears the mark of the Autobot team.
Once a car, once a man
Saving all the lives that he can.
A truely spectacular sight to see,
I thank you, mighty Bumblebee. A simple elegyFuneral Speech
We will all miss that wonderful guy,
A wonderful guy that did not need to die.
He was ever so nice (and made a mean pie)
He at first was jittery and awfully shy,
"But there's nothig to fear, it's all just a lie".
And now he's gone, don't ask me why,
For if you ask me too much, I may start to cry.
Please bury him now, we had too close a tie,
I just hope the vermin don't crawl into his eye
We will all miss that wonderful guy.
RE: Poems - Dual - Apr. 18, 2013
This one isn't one of my anti conformist ones, it's a metaphor for an inside joke me and one of my friends made up. I used it in English and my teacher accused me of plagiarising, even though it was completely original.
There once was a boy
And he said to the chef
"Chef I would like some pizza"
The chef looked at him
And said with a grin
You'll have to get through mizza
Well the boy he was sad
Because he really really had
Wanted his pizza and grapes
So himself he did tell
As he pulled out his cell
"I'll just call Shadout Mapes"
Now Shadout Mapes
Didn't care much for grapes
But agreed to free the boy
So he could have his pizza
And shout hurrah
While Mapes acted as the decoy.
So the boy, he ran
As fast as a boy can,
Till he finally he prevailed
He asked for some grapes
But to bad, for Shadout Mapes
Had ultimately failed.
Well the chef was mad
When they found that the boy had
Used Mapes as a distraction
So he could get his pizza
While Mapes used anaesthesia
To keep the chef out of action.
Now the chef was enraged
So they engaged
In a classic game of sumo
With the young boy who
Very well knew
When it came to sumo he was a pseudo.
The boy somehow won
And knew he was done
He could finally have his prize.
But he was appalled
The chef had ate it all
With a vengeful look in their eyes.
The end. I changed some bits, like taking out Shadout Mapes (a character from Dune).
Edit: Misread the thread XP
I like the poems.

I know these ones are bad, but my teacher made me write 4 poems with a certain trait sooooo...
I'm embarassed
Lego Country
With an adolescent creator, these plastic men
Are taken apart and built back again.
A young mind is now a bricksmith, who'd ask for more?
Building, and building, and building galore!
The sharpest sword, forged from imagination,
What ever is cut becomes a beautiful creation;
In just a few hours, grew a building block nation.
The range of imagination grew thicker, not thinner,
That is, before the child was called for dinner.
My new prison is shame
Samantha Snow Crab
Starving Samantha Snow Crab speedily
Searched for sustinence somewhere she hasn't seen
Scuttling, skittering, scattering, admittering
A simple search this shall not be.
Scuttling, skittering, simply jittering,
Sam's shell was scarily empty.
Shifting and search'n, she saw a sea urchin,
"So sustinance you shall now be."

It's been a while, hopefully more people can share their poems too.
You might not understand at first
Get More Bounce
To not be denounced,
Get much more bounce;
In fact, more bounce per ounce.
Get more bounce or prepare to be trounced,
Be you man or mouse,
Get Hip-Hop in your house
Or risk being doused
And hair pillaged by louce.
That's all to be announced.

More Poems thanks to Sophmore English!
My first Haiku
Angst
I'm all alone.
Even in close company
No one understands A Diamonte
Frienemies
(not named yet)
Trusting, kind
Playing, joking, laughing
Sharing, helping, scheming, spiting
Hurting, lying, stealing
Neglecting, cruel
Humanity My struggle
[Place Name Here]
When will you start? This is a simple task.
I'm struggling, I know time's running out.
But how many times have we had this bout!?
Fine! One more video, that's all I ask.
So you can feel good with the shame you'll mask!?!
Why must you speak of me so full of doubt?
Twelve times today we've repeated this route!
You are a drunkard, and YouTube's your flask!!
I know my grade is a fragile grape,
I know my actions can't be undone,
This is a habit I just can't escape.
I trade life long success for short lived fun.
If only I learned to self inhibit.
Hell, even this poem is last minute. Some poem about some Holiday
Halloween
Ghosts and ghouls,
Jesters and fools,
Weirdos, and heroes, and creatures that drool.
To meet and get candy is something that rules!
When wild wolves howl at the Moon,
Last day of October, please come soon.

She smiled at me.
Her teeth like pearls.
I never want to leave her side.
She looked away.
My tears rolled down my face,
I couldn't live to see her die.
For the longest time,
You seemed stronger
Than any person that ever lived.
But that strength,
It vanished in the air,
Just like your life nearly did.
Thanking you is not hard.
But appreciating you,
Is like building a mansion of cards.
Your actions didn't end you,
But they nearly did me.
You're supposed be the strongest.
But the pain no one could see.
That's actually just a combination of 3 verses from a song me and my friend wrote. It sounds neat as a poem though .
I didn't plan in the end that I'd hurt you.
But this is a constant nightmare, dreams are overdue.
Hell's raising it's gate and the devil has open arms.
You lie to his face to saying that you caused no harm.
Do the scars on my arms say otherwise?
You should see the mental ones, they show everyday.
My mind can't think a second this way.
You'll get what's coming for you.
The best get hurt, and your pain is overdue.
Harvesting your deepest fears.
I showed the world what you are so just get out of here.
Get out of here!
And there is that one.
