Ultimate (Spin) Dragoon/ Makendo/ Megaro Arm - Aqua - Sep. 03, 2009 I quickly did up this article so I’m sure there are a few things that need to be added, corrected, etc. Though there's not much to be said about this. I didn't bother posting anything for Megaro Arm and Makendo since not much would be different than this article (except the obvious). ***Can anyone take pictures of Ultimate/Spin Dragoon (3/4 view, side view, bottom view, and the AR separately)? And pictures of just the AR for Makendo and Megaro Arm? Here's the article: Ultimate Dragoon
Number: #1 System: 4-layer Type: Attack Ultimate Dragoon was the first beyblade to be released and was released in Japan in July 1999. Name Variation Hasbro released this product under the name Spin Dragoon. Attack Ring (AR): Cross Dragon - 4 grams Cross Dragon is circular with four rectangular projections evenly distributed around the AR. Due to its shape and design; this AR has little use and is incredibly outclassed. It is not ideal for any form of attack. Cross Dragon does not have any competitive uses except for WD Attack, which is also not very useful in competitive play. Use in Weight Disk Attack Customization Cross Dragon in a WD Attack customization. Cross Dragon does not extend beyond the WD, leaving the WD completely exposed, therefore allowing this customization to be quite effective. AR: Cross Dragon (Ultimate Dragoon) WD: Wide Defense SG: Right SG BB: SG Metal Flat 2 (Gaia Dragoon V) Mold Variations There are two different molds for Cross Dragon. The original mold of Cross Dragon (Ultimate Dragoon and Megaro Arm version) is very thin and fragile (prone to breaking). The newer mold of Cross Dragon (Makendo version) is much improved from the original version, in that the AR is made thicker and the width of the AR is increased. In the newer mold of Cross Dragon, reinforments have been added to the ring and to the four panels. Due to these improvements, the newer mold AR is much stronger and less likely to break, compared to the original mold. Should Cross Dragon be used, the newer mold (Makendo's Cross Dragon) should be used over the original mold AR. *Note*: Hasbro's Spin Dragoon, Megaro Arm and Makendo all have the newer mold of Cross Dragon. Weight Disk (WD): Wide See Wide Weight Disk. Blade Base (BB): Flat Base See Flat Base. Other Versions - Makendo - Megaro Arm - Ultimate Dragoon - Limited Edition (Clear) - Ultimate Dragoon - Coro Coro Limited (Black with MG WD) - Ultimate Dragoon - Promotion (Gold-plated) - Ultimate Dragoon - #14 BeyBattle Set (White with gold-plated WD) Gallery [Pictures Here] Overall Ultimate Dragoon is useless for competitive play and has been entirely outclassed by numerous parts. This beyblade would only be worth getting for collection purposes. RE: Ultimate (Spin) Dragoon/ Makendo/ Megaro Arm - Pich - Sep. 03, 2009 Just going to tell you right now that the new mold can be found on all three of the beyblades, not just Makendo. I've got all of them, and they are all new mold (and I've an old broken mold for comparison.) Other than that, the article looks good to me.
