No. 6 Manga / Anime - sarabscientist - Feb. 24, 2013 [Searched with keyword "No.6" with no relevant thread results] Spoiler (Click to View) Basically this anime/manga is about this boy (Shion) who lives in an idealistic city. Its kind of a utopia called "No.6". I've heard people compare it to the same sort of concept as The Hunger Games, where there is a capital and outlying districts. Anyways, Shion sort of saves the life of another boy (Nezumi) who was escaping from the No.6 police. Years later, Nezumi saves Shion from being sent to the correctional facility. They both flee the city and then slowly Shion realizes that No.6 is not a perfect utopia, etc ... I'm on chapter 21 of the manga and so far, it has a cool concept. This anime/manga is an adaptation: Quote:No. 6 is a nine-volume novel series written by Atsuko Asano and published by Kodansha between October 2003 and June 2011. A manga adaptation drawn by Hinoki Kino began serialization in the March 2011 issue of Kodansha's Aria magazine. An anime TV series adaptation by Bones began airing in Japan in July 2011 I prefer the manga than the anime because I think the anime drawings are a bit odd (their faces look better in the manga). Has anyone else read/watched this series? RE: No. 6 Manga / Anime - LMAO - Feb. 24, 2013 I just started the manga a few days ago, it is so good! It really reminds me of The Hunger Games! I'm going to try to watch the anime soon, I'll see how it goes. :p RE: No. 6 Manga / Anime - iVtechboyinpa - Feb. 28, 2013 You just love your anime, don't you Insomniac.? Haha, this looks good, I'll add it to my list to watch and read. I LOVE the anime that are adapted from Light Novels and/or Manga, cuz then when I finish the anime, I can continue on instead of crying for more RE: No. 6 Manga / Anime - sarabscientist - Feb. 28, 2013 You can really notice the differences between the faces though. They're less attractive in the anime. *cough* I wasn't implying any infatuation with Nezumi. Spoiler (Click to View) Nezumi just looks manlier in the anime. And to be honest, in the manga, I thought he was a girl at first. I personally just read/watch some anime/manga for the character designs. Some characters' faces are pure perfection (♥‿♥) |
