Once upon a time... Blah blah blah, you've heard the story of the Star Fragment, right? Well, of course, another team of evil wheelers called Darkwheelz are using wheels to take over the world, ( sounds familiar?) Well, someone named Kairyu was brothers to the leader of the Darkwheelz, and knew he had to stop his brother's evil plans. But he knew he couldn't do it himself, so things turn to his son, Shin.

It was Shin's 12th birthday. It was also the final day of school for the Summer. Shin happily got off the bus and ran to his house. It was a sunny day, the grass shown in from the light. Shin approached his door, and saw a note. It read: "Shin, meet me half-way into the Beyta Forest, there you will find a special surprise, meant just for you.
~Your father"
"Meet in Beyta Forest? Dad must've lost his mind!" Shin grabbed the note and turned to the forest.
The forest was located right behind Shin's house. Nobody dared going past the Cetus Tree that appeared halfway into the forest. The Cetus Tree was a special tree with the Beywheelz motif of the legendary star whale, Cetus.
In case you haven't known, Beywheelz was a game that kids, and even adults played worldwide. It was popular in Shin's neighborhood, people held small one-day tournaments, and small matches at Wheel Park. But Shin never had a wheel, but borrowed wheels from his friends, and rented generic wheels at Wheel Park. But never had his own. Parts were expensive. Shin's number 1 birthday wish was to have his very own wheel.
"Well, I better go," Shin said to himself. He opened his house door and walked in, grabbed a small bag, and grabbed two water bottles.
Then he headed out, to Beyta Forest!


A few minutes latter, Shin finally arrived at the Cetus Tree.
"The Cetus Tree..." Shin muttered "people had legends of people not returning from the forest after passing the tree, but my dads beyond here, if he goes, I go."
Shin put one foot past the tree.
The ground rumbled. The motif on the three glowed light-blue.
"I knew this was a bad idea!" Shin exclaimed.
Shin tried to run, but there was an invisible force-field blocking him from leaving.
The Cetus Tree split in two, revealing a wheel: Rampage Warrior Cetus.
"Whoa... Th-thats the legendary wheel, Cetus!" murmured Shin.
"Grab the wheel, Shin" A voice said. It sounded a bit similar to his father's.
Shin slowly approached the split tree, until he was able to reach out and grab Cetus. Sweat dripped down his forehead.
"Don't be shy, Shin..." the voice said again.
Slowly, Shin grabbed Cetus, and it shown light-blue.
"So you are the chosen one," Shin's father suddenly appeared out behind a tree.
"Dad!" Shin exclaimed "what do you mean?!"
"That wheel is my gift to you, you are the chosen one."
"Chosen one?"
"Yes. Your uncle, Kouchiryu has uncovered the dark wheel, Doom Fortune Destroyer, and plans to train his son, your cousin, to use it, and take over the world of wheelers. He has also made an organization called Darkwheelz. You need to gather your friends and defeat the Darkwheelz, and Kachi, your cousin."
Shin looked down to Cetus, and said "seriously?"
"Dead serious," Kairyu replied.
Shin took another look down at Cetus, and said "I'll do it."
"Good, first you need to travel, and get stronger. Make new friends, and rivals. Become as strong as you can get with Cetus."

Kairyu lead Shin back to their house and they went inside.
"So, is this really the legendary wheel?" Shin asked.
"Yup."
"And I really have to fight Kachi?"
"Yup."
"Wow... OK, so what I do first?"
"You travel, train, find friends, rivals, and defeat Kachi, simple enough?"
"Uh... Yeah I guess so. When do I leave?"
"Whenever your ready."
Shin looked down and Cetus. "OK, I'll get ready."

Shin walked down the hall to his room. He grabbed a grey bag, with a small tent.
He also grabbed the bits of cash he had saved.
Then, he walked back to the living room.
"Shin, you may want this." Kairyu handed Shin a dark blue launcher and black rip-cord.
"Thanks, dad. I'll be going now."

Shin set his hand on the doorknob, and said "bye."
"We'll meet again, son."



Shin left, his bag slung over his shoulder, had his launcher on his new launcher case on his belt, and a serious expression.
He walked down the path, heading towards the Wheel Park, when all of a sudden "boo!" Someone grabbed Shin's arm. It was his friend from school, Mika.
She was a year younger then Shin, but was also a wheeler.
"Oh, hi Mika." Shin greeted.
"Uh... OK then. Hi Shin," Mika replied.
"You have a wheel, right?" Shin asked.
"Yup, why?"
Shin pulled out Cetus from his pocket.
"Whoa... I thought only the chosen one could hold Cetus!" Mika exclaimed.
"True."
"Wait... It can't be... You?"
"Yeah, me."
Mika took out her wheel, Soaring Fire Fireblaze.
"If your the 'chosen one', then battle me!"
"I haven't had a battle with Cetus yet, though," replied Shin.
"Whatever, just battle!"
Shin grabbed his launcher and said "I guess I can't turn that down, lets go."

Shin and Mika ran to Wheel Park and stood at a arena.

A bunch of other kids gathered around. Some of them said "whoa! Shin has Rampage Warrior Cetus!" and others said "It doesn't matter, Mika is the town champion!"

"How should we do this?" Shin asked.
"Crash, Race or Stunt, you choose," Mika replied.
"OK, stunt."


The arena turned, and Shin and Mika stood by the side.
A stunt battle is where both wheelers launch their wheels off the ramps on the side, and see you can make it across.
Spikes appeared in the arena, and the referee stood up, and said "this will be a stunt battle! Both wheels must get across the arena, if they both, they battle it out at the bottom!"

Since it was a special match, people gathered in the stands.
"Are both wheelers ready?" called the referee.
"I'm always ready!" Mika exclaimed.
"Yeah lets go!" Shin attached Cetus.

"3! 2! 1!" The crowd called. And at once, Shin and Mika shouted "let it rip!"

Both wheels flew off the ramps, while in air Fireblaze attacked using its AG. (AG=Attack Gear).

"That's it! Attack Fireblaze!" Mika commanded.

"Uh... You too, Cetus!"
Mika let out a laugh.

"You can't attack at that position!" she exclaimed.

Both wheels hit the ground, Cetus barely remained rolling.

"It doesn't matter anymore, since we're on the ground. Cetus is a power type!"

Cetus charged into Fireblaze, and sent it flying.
"Yeah, so? I can still get to the finish line!" Mika said.
"She has a point, Cetus isn't fast enough... But if I used a special move..."

"Cetus! Ocean Drive!" Shin called out.
Cetus summoned a wave and surrounded itself with water and raced after Fireblaze.
"Oh, crud!" Mika was in a tough spot, as she couldn't get away from Cetus's attack.

"Finish it, Cetus!"
Cetus crashed into Fireblaze, and it flew back to Mika.

The referee stood up and called out "there you have it! Rampage Warrior Cetus has extinguished the amazing Soaring Fire Fireblaze!" Cetus turned around and flew back to Shin.
Shin held up Cetus in glory, then said "nice job. Lets battle again sometime, OK?"
Mika picked up Fireblaze, then stood up, but didn't say anything.

Chapter 2 analysis: Shin sets off for his journey, Cetus defeats the magnificent Fireblaze, earning Shin's and Cetus's first win

After the battle, Shin left the arena.
"Shin! Wait up!" Mika called out. "Huh?" Shin turned around.
"I'm coming with you," She said.
"Um... Okay. Feel free. Where do you think we should stay?" Shin asked.
"Uh... What do you mean?"
"I mean, where are we sleeping?"
"Sleeping?"
"Oh," said Shin "I forgot to tell you, I'm uh... Traveling this summer," Shin set down his bag, they were at the river edge.
"I like this spot," Shin said.
"Your camping?" Mika asked.
"I guess you could say that, I'm on a training journey. You can come along, if you want."
"Uh... Well, sure. Should I meet you here soon?" She asked.
"Yeah, see you."



Shin set up his tent. Without anything to do, he pulled Cetus out of his pocket, and said "nice job, Cetus."
He rubbed the burn marks off Cetus and set it on the ground.
"Yo, Shin!" Someone called out, but it wasn't Mika.
Shin stepped outside his tent.
There stood a large guy, red coat, blonde hair, black eyes, and wore large cargo pants.
"Who are you?" Shin asked. "Your opponent, Taro Genshima, and Wild Beast Bull!"
Shin sighed, and looked up. The sun was going down, and Shin hadn't ate.
"Nah, its getting late," Shin said.
"That's not a good idea," Taro said "battle now, or you wont find your little friend."
"What do you mean?"
"Your friend, Mika. I found her running home when I was on my way to find you."
"What?!" Shin pulled out Cetus. "Fine! I'll fight you, Taro Genshima. Where at?"
"Right here, no boundaries, Crash Battle," Taro looked confident, but Shin wasn't backing down.
Shin pulled out his launcher and attached Cetus. "Ready?"
"3!" Taro replied.
"2!"
"1! Let it Rip!"
Cetus struck Bull, but was knocked away. "Smash him Bull!"
"Cetus!"
Cetus tried to move out of the way, but was knocked away. "carp!" Shin thought.
"Defeat him, Bull!" Bull charged again.
Cetus barely took the hit. "Think Shin! OK, if I can time the moment Bull charges... I can get Cetus to get out of the way..."
Bull charged again. "1, 2, 3...." Two seconds latter, Bull attacked again.
"OK, I have five seconds until..." Shin looked around. He noticed a sloped rock. "1, 2, 3, 4..."
"Now, Cetus!"
Cetus dodged the attack at the exact moment Bull attacked. Cetus rolled towards the rock. "Chase him Bull!" Taro commanded.
"Cetus! Ocean Drive!"
Cetus bursted forward and flew off the rock.
"Ocean Slam!" Shin commanded. After Cetus went off the slope, it slammed down on Bull, and wedged it into the ground.
"Wh-what?! Bull, defeated! It can't be!" Taro slammed the ground with his fist. Shin picked up Cetus, and looked at Taro.
"Where is she?!" Shin demanded. Taro sighed, and said "Beyta forest, near the split tree."
Split tree? Where Shin got Cetus?
Shin ran off towards the tree, and left Taro... Letting out his anger on a tree.

Chapter 3 analysis: Shin and Mika find a place, and Mika agrees to go with Shin.
A wondering wheeler named Taro and his Wild Beast Bull challenge Shin, and loses.

Shin ran into the direction Taro directed him.
"Where is she?!" Shin murmured. Before he could do anything, he heard a crack!
Shin looked down, and fell right into a hole. "Haha! How could you be so stupid to think I'd direct you in the right direction!" Taro exclaimed. He peered is head into the whole, but this time he was with a few other guys, three of them.
"You..." Shin was thinking some nasty things now.
"If you want your friend back, you come to our hideout, but you have to find it." Then they left. Shin tried climbing out of the hole, no use. "You stuck?" a voice said. Shin looked up. There stood a boy, he was a bit younger then Shin, green hoodie, blue eyes, and a black hat with the Pisces motif.
"Um.. Uh..." Shin sighed "yeah, I'm stuck."
"Let me guess, the Wheel-Crushers knocked you in there," the boy said, he grabbed a vine. "Wheel-Crushers?" Shin asked.
"Yeah, they're a bunch of guys lead around by Taro. They have a hideout downtown. Need some help?"
"Uh, yeah." The boy threw down the vine, the tied it to the tree. Shin struggled, but climbed up the vine.
"I'm guessing your a wheeler, too?" he asked. "Yeah, I was able to beat Taro in a crash-battle. This is my wheel, Rampage Warrior Cetus." Shin took Cetus out of his pocket. "You... Really beat him? My names Rain, and this is my Slash Fin Pisces."
"Cool, but I need to go rescue my friend."
"Can I come?" Rain asked.
"Sure, I could always use some back-up, let me see what you got."
Rain took out his shining neo-green wheel, and launched at a solid rock.
"Go Pisces! Special Move, Rip Jaw Fang!" Rain exclaimed. Pisces shark beast appeared and smashed the rock.
After the dust cleared, to Shin's surprise there was a bite mark on the rock. Pisces flew back to Rain's hand. "Uh..." said Shin, dumbfounded "OK, lets go."
It took awhile to get to the hideout, but they made it. Immediately, they noticed a blood-red Leone motif on the brick warehouse.
"This place creeps me out..." Rain complained. "Come on, we don't have much time!" Shin slammed on the door. Dumb idea. The door was steel. Shin clenched his hand and hollered something you don't need to see. "Let it rip!" Rain exclaimed as he blew the lock off the steel door with Pisces.
"Nice job, Rain!" Shin grabbed Cetus and kicked open the door. "Ah... So you've arrived, Shin Yuiki." a spine-chilling voice said. Shin and Rain stood in the light-less ware house trying to find a light-switch. "Shin! I found it!" Rain pulled a switch and the light flashed on. Boxes were everywhere, and in the center they formed a mountain. Menacing wheelers sat around, Taro hid in the corner. At the top of the box mountain, stood a female figure, messy blonde hair with red streaks, a grim smile, ripped jeans, and a plan white shirt. "Shin?" a familiar voice said. "Shin! We've lead you here, only to defeat you. To tale the power of Cetus, and to aid our lord!" exclaimed the figure at the top of the box mountain. She lifted a green launcher. It had a Bone Crusher Leone attached. She jumped down, battle ready. Shin also attached Cetus, and they were ready. "You can do it, Shin!" Mika's voice called from the distance. "Go Shin!" Rain cheered.
"I got this," Shin replied. "3! 2! 1! Let it Riiiiiiip!!"
Cetus and Leone clashed, and Leone was knocked away. "Leone! Counter Attack!"
Leone attacked with its AG furiously. "Blow it away, Cetus!"
Cetus backed up, and smashed Leone back. "Finish him Cetus! Ocean Drive!"
"Shin!" Rain called. "Don't get too cocky!"
Leone sped out of the way. "Crud!" Shin murmured. "Leone! Bone Crusher!"
Leone pushed Cetus with tremendous power into the wall, shredding the Energy Core of Cetus's.
"Shin! You have to finish Leone before Cetus breaks apart!" Rain called. "Right, Cetus! Warrior Typhoon!" Shin released his newest special move, a whirlpool was summoned around Cetus and knocked away Leone. "Attack now Leone!"
Leone tried to blast through the move. "Push harder!"
The cracks on Cetus grew larger, and split at the exact same moment Leone was knocked back. The whole warehouse was soaked. The Wheel-Crusher's fierce leader caught Leone, and she stepped down, angered. "Cetus! carp!" Shin shouted, then ran to his shattered wheel in fury. "If I was only more careful! Cetus wouldn't have been broken!"
"Shin!" Mika ran out from behind the boxes. "Is everything OK?" She asked.
Shin showed her Cetus, chucks of the Energy Core fell off. Mika gasped. Rain ran up to Shin.
"Get them out of her!" ordered the leader. A bunch of the wheelers gathered on the hill stood up, but Shin interrupted them.
"We don't want anything to do with you!" shouted Shin. Shin bursted up, and knocked through the door in anger. Rain and Mika followed him, but didn't catch up.

Chapter 4 Analysis: Shin meets Rain after getting tricked by a cruel gang of wheelers known as the Wheel-Crushers, Shin and Rain team up to find Mika and go to the Wheel-Crusher's hideout. Shin has a devastating battle with their leader, ending in a tie, when Cetus's Energy Core shatters after the battle.

Moments latter, Rain and Mika found Shin near the split Cetus Tree.
"Shin! We finally found you!" Mika said.
"Shin, is everything OK?" Rain asked. Shin held up Cetus, "what do you think?"
Cetus has been damaged during his latest battle against Leone. "Hmm..." Rain examined Cetus, then said "I know!"
"What?" Shin asked.
"My brother could fix it."
"Brother?"
"Yeah, follow me guys!" Rain ran off. Shin also got up, and followed Rain.

Soon, the gang made it downtown, where Rain lived. Rain stepped up to the door, turned the doorknob, it was locked.
"Good," said Rain "my parents aren't home. Lets just hope Takaishi is."
Rain pulled out a key and put it into the keyhole. He twisted it, and the door popped open. Shin and Rain entered the house. It smelled like new paint, white walls, simple living-room and kitchen, and a door leading to the basement.
"Hey, where'd Mika go?" Shin asked.
"Oh, she left. Come on, my brother's 'lab' is downstairs." Rain opened the basement door, and he stepped down. Suddenly, Shin couldn't see Rain. "Shin!" Rain called out "down here!"
Shin looked down, instead of a normal stairs, there was a fire-pole.
Shin put one hand on the pole, then fell.
He landed on his feet, then looked around. There were machines around the small room, with book shelves and a computer, that a teenage boy sat in front of. Near the computer, which only had a small lamp for light, stood a pile of damaged wheels and a toolbox. Rain was talking with the boy in front of the computer, then he signaled Shin.
"Hi," said the boy, "I'm Rain's brother, Takaishi Hiroki."
"Whoa..." murmured Shin.
"Shin, my brother says he could fix your wheel." said Rain.
"Yeah, could I see it?" Takaishi hooked up a dome-like machine to the computer, and signaled Shin for Cetus.
"Uh..." Shin reached into his pocket, and pulled out Cetus "here."
Shin set Cetus in Takaishi's hand, and he set it in the dome. Then he pressed a green button to close it. There was a screen covering the wheel, but it was seeable. Then, Takaishi pressed another button then typed a command into the computer.
The small machine scanned Cetus, then it showed a picture of the 'Rampage' Energy Core on the screen, with a red 'X' on it. "Ah..." said Takaishi "your Energy Core has been damaged, let me see what I can do."
He took of the Energy Core, and his tools. He tinkered with the core for awhile, and then... "Done!" exclaimed Takaishi.
"Wha..." Shin dozed off. He stood up, and looked around, then said "where'd Rain go?"
"Oh, its eight o' clock," replied Takaishi. "I guess it took longer then I thought."
Takaishi handed Shin Cetus.
"Uh... Thanks." said Shin.
"You don't need to thank me, but I do have a favor." Takaishi looked down, then said, "Rain told me you were traveling, and we wanted to come with you."
"You do? You seem busy already."
"Well, uh... Rain wants to test his skills on a journey, too. And I don't want him hurt. Either way, I could be your mechanic."
Shin thought for a moment, then said "of course you guys can come!"
"Great!" Takaishi grabbed his tool box, then opened a cupboard.
"This is my wheel, Claw Gash Rex, but I'm not much of a battler."
Then he grabbed a bag from under the desk, grabbed his tool box, put some things in the bag, then they walked to the door.
"How do we get back up?" asked Shin.
"Watch." said Takaishi "Yo, Rain!!!"
"AGH!" Rain called. Takaishi must've surprised him.
"Yeah, bro?" Rain asked.
"Stairs," he replied.
"Oh, OK..." Rain through down a ladder.
Takaishi walked up the ladder, then Shin.
"Hey," Takaishi said to his brother "you ready?"
"Ready?" Rain asked.
"We're leaving, come on Rain!"
There was a sudden joy in Rain's expression.
"Really?!" Rain jolted up, and picked up a bag.
They walked out the door, and they were off.


Chapter 5 analysis, Cetus gets fixed, Rain and his brother Takaishi head off with Shin on their journey

A few hours later...
Our heroes, Shin, Rain, Mika and Takaishi leave out on their training journey. First, they left off to the city.
"So, why exactly are we here?" Rain asked.
Takaishi stopped walking. "There's someone I'd like you guys to see."
Shin sighed. "And, why?"
Takaishi smirked grimly. "You'll see..."
They kept on walking, till they reached a small building in the shape of a dome.
"Is this where you'll bringing us?" Shin asked.
Takaishi grinned. "Yeeep!"
"OK, then who is this person you'd like us to meet?" Mika asked.
Takaishi paused. "There's this guy, he's a wheeler. He's... really good, actually. I think he may put up a challenge for Shin."
Shin pulled Cetus out of his pocket and smiled. "Lets go then!"
He ran into the door, literally.
"Hehe..." Shin sighed. "Maybe it'd be a good idea to watch for doors...?"

They went inside. What they saw was stands all around the building with Beywheelz merchandise. In the center was a bright red arena, with children gathered around it, and two battlers at each side.
"3!" one of them shouted.
"2!" the other one held up a launcher and wheel.
"1! Let it rip!" They shouted in unison, and fired their wheels.
One of them ripped through the other, shredding the wheel.
"Crud!" One of them said. The other one sneered.
The broken wheel flew out of the arena, and fell to its owner's feet.
