Who wasn't a fan of them when we were younger?
I remember the White ranger being my favourite one! And also recall being totally confused by the green/white ranger, since i was so young to fully understand the storyline.
and i TOTALLY miss the flip-head figurines! and the zords toys alsoT_T

And i also had a HUGE crush on Kimberly, she was so pretty (L)

The new power rangers isnt good at all=( the best one was Mighty Morphing, my 2nd personal favourite was Power Rangers SPD, I dunno why it was just different from the others for a particular reason.

And now, you don't like Kimberly? I think she is the perfect woman to marry haha.

Are you kidding me, SPD? Why? The red ranger wasn't even handsome in my eyes.

Jungle fury was very bad. RPM isnt good at all for the moment
Juken sentai gekiranger (original version of Jungle fury) was way better. i watched the whole series. the american version is just... bleh

not to mention the yellow ranger was hot=)

who cares if the red ranger wasnt handsome=.= and he was cool. I liked the dog.

RE: POWER RANGERS - The_General - Jul. 22, 2009

My run in with Power Rangers went as follows.

1. Watch episode with older cousin.
2. After show, older cousin thinks he's tough like the power rangers and does some crazy flippy karate stuff like he's about to whoop me.
3. I punched him in the face, and he runs off.
4. Realize that power rangers are whack and moved on to...lord knows what.

The red ranger of the japanese series looks funny.

RE: POWER RANGERS - Sega - Jul. 22, 2009

Man I loved the Power Rangers growing up, although I really didn't pay much attention to it after maybe Zeo until a few years back, Turbo was horrible and was close to nearly ending the Power Ranger series. Mighty Morphin will always stand as my favorite series, just growing up watching it and looking back on it, a great nostalgic feeling. Pretty gutted I lost my Power Morpher when i moved countries as a kid, they go for quite a big on eBay right now.

I never really payed much attention to the other series after Turbo ( which was pretty damn horrible and nearly killed the Power Rangers series ). Couple years back i found out that they were using footage from the Super Sentai series over in Japan, was stoked to find out how long its been going over there ( 30 Years + and 33 seasons ), so now I'll go through a season from now and then, really enjoyed Dairanger, my favorite season.

A bit sad that they're phasing out the Power Rangers after this current season ( RPM ), but to be honest, Power Rangers is no-where as big as it used to be when it started, hell the first Movie made it to Cinemas.

1.
2. The actor of white ranger (or green) did a karate tutorial video, and it is how i got hooked to martial arts LOL.
3. That is bad and very mean LOL.
4. and uve moved on to beyblade ? haha

RE: POWER RANGERS - Zanzetsuken - Jul. 22, 2009

Hahahah, I remember watching this show so much! It was one of the greatest Live-Actions ever. I loved it when the Giant Robots fused into one awesome one Grin

RE: POWER RANGERS - Sega - Jul. 22, 2009

Haha just went through my room, I've still got my old Backpack from when i was a kid, has the White Ranger on the bag with a massive MMPR logo on it, way too tiny for me now.

Would like to see Gekiranger down the tracks ( They have no belts omgahh! ), at the moment I'm just looking around at the series from the Early 90's, Jetman's one of the best seasons I've heard, but just wondering if there's subs laying around for it. If anyone's keen, check out the Super Sentai vs Gaoranger movie they did, a nice brief history of Sentai.

Yes, green ranger was a martial artist, I knew this, and have a friend who got hooked the exact same way. I personally train Mixed Martial Arts, so who knows, maybe the experience had a lasting effect on me and I didn't know it...or not. haha. And yeah, I'd say beyblade was the only thing I really enjoyed when I was young. I wasn't even that young, I was 12/13 when I first watched the show and bought some beyblades...now here I am, hooked all over again. lol

I just sended these links to you a few mins and you already posted them here.

For the last season, the swords are kind of nice but I don't like the design of their masks, a bit too extreme?

http://www.supersentai.com/database/2008_go-onger/cast.html

it is very funny to read the all females's short bio of all the seasons. And to think it is a kids's show.

RE: POWER RANGERS - Werkbau - Jul. 22, 2009

Actually, I watched the samurai ones, Shinkenger. tbh it is MUCH better than anything Power Rangers ever gave me... and they even have a crossover episode with Kamen rider decade >_>

RE: POWER RANGERS - Bae Master - Jul. 22, 2009

Well, they also have many female casts that are posing nude from the american series. I am somewhat deceived of that, I suppose they don't give importance at their role as a power ranger, in other words, being a idol for kids fans.

RE: POWER RANGERS - AnnieDuck - Jul. 22, 2009

i wasn't allowed to watch power rangers

RE: POWER RANGERS - Zanzetsuken - Jul. 22, 2009

Why?

RE: POWER RANGERS - AnnieDuck - Jul. 22, 2009

Because it's violent, promoted crass consumerism, and counter-feminist?

I also wasn't allowed to watch the Simpsons at home until I was 13, but Mum had no problem with Daria.

RE: POWER RANGERS - Bae Master - Jul. 22, 2009

Why is Power Rangers counter-feminist?
*besides the actress having suggesting pictures of themselves all over the net.

because the females are relegated to "second-tier" status but this is true to almost every series from japan

and i watch kamen rider subtitled

RE: POWER RANGERS - Werkbau - Jul. 22, 2009

If power rangers is considered violent, then I can't imagine what reaction when people see Japanese ones. Monster sucking out spirits of people and leaving them to die, grunts slashing countless people, a single monster burn several skyscrapers to ashes within 10 seconds. Even the rangers cut building and cars into two! @_@

LOL, I must see that. But Power Rangers is considered violent in a good way, they make kids to be good and fight the evil ones.

RE: POWER RANGERS - Bae Master - Jul. 22, 2009

In the movie mighty morphin, rocks were fallen on monsters head and these same monsters were cut in half. I found it a little bit 2 violent for the Power Rangers! LOL
wth r u saying dranzer. LOL. but yeah,i guess it isnt such a bad form of violence. But i think we already have another thread on Violence in media and video games=.=
