Currently untitled (A story about life) - Tech - Aug. 07, 2012
I have another story that I haven't written anything for in ages, so this is sorta my "get dem creative juices flowin', yo" project.
It comes off as a very weird, out of the ordinary story, but the message is the most important part.
I tapped my foot impatiently as I waited for the Starbucks cashier to stop coughing and give me my change. He pinched his nose and finally handed me my change with his free hand. I grabbed my Iced Caramel macchiato from the counter and the change from his hand. "Have a nice day, sir," he squeaked out. "Learn to use some deodorant, too," he added under his breath. As I walked away, I heard people whispering. "What's that smell?" one said. "Did someone cut the cheese?" said a small child, all too loudly. I looked back at the cashier, who was coughing into a napkin.
It probably was me, I could agree, but these people had no right to publicly humiliate me. I slammed down my drink on an empty table and folded my arms over my chest. "All of you can go to hell!" I shouted, pointing my finger at everyone in Starbucks individually. My finger landed finally on that rude cashier, that had the nerve to tell me to take a shower. "Especially you!" I said, angrily.
As I walked back over to the counter, he gave me a "please don't come back, my lungs cant handle any more of your stench" look. I ignored it and pulled him by his apron over the counter. He fell on his face, and tried to crawl away. I grabbed his gray shirt collar and pulled him up to me, until we were face to face. I blew air straight into his nose, and I watched as he tried to hold on a cough. The whole store was speechless and wide-eyed. "You should really buy some sort of facial cleanser," I said calmly. "Because you probably need it more than I need a shower." He looked genuinely scared, and I was loving it. There was nothing to worry about now that I was in control.
"This, is for rudely pinching your nose in front of me," I said, putting him in a choke-hold. Dont worry, I didn't apply any pressure. I needed him conscious for what was coming next. He tried to escape, but it wasn't going to work. "You honestly think I didn't hear what you said?" I said, laughing. He tried to talk, but that wasn't any use, either. "Well, too bad you can't talk, because I would love to hear your carp excuse." He stopped squirming and finally calmed down. "Cooperation usually makes things easier," I said, giggling. "But not for you, friend."
I let go of his neck and grabbed his arm before he could escape. "This, is for being a hypocrite," I said, kneeing him in the stomach. He made an "oof" sound, and fell on the ground. "I would love to make you pay in many other way, but unfortunately, I'm on a time restraint. One final thing though." I pulled him back up for the last time, and smiled at him. "Finally, this is for telling me I need to take shower, when it isn't your place to." I grabbed his neck and stuffed it into my armpit. "Do you smell it?! Do you smell the stench that people like you created? Hypocrites, critics, all of you! You made this!" I let his neck go, and he plopped on the ground. I looked at him, and he was knocked out cold. "Your all like him! Everyone is a critic these days! Some of you just need to learn to shut up and look in the mirror!" I shouted, grabbing my drink and walking towards the door.
So is this how the world is these days? Everything was so much easier when I was a kid. Everyone and anyone could smell like anything, and no one would care. People like them make me NOT want to keep up my hygiene. Everyone is a critic, aren't they? No one has a right to comment on the way I smell. It's none of they're business. I don't go around commenting on everything I see! It's rude. Clearly, everything I said and did in that store was uncalled for, but doesn't that describe they way they judged me?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The character (which hasn't been named yet) is pretty much a young, middle-aged guy who hates the way the world is nowdays. The way people act, what they do, and such. He has a really bad way of going about what he does, but genuinely he's a good person. (somewhat)

Sounds like Neku from "The World Ends With You"! Really nice and I think you're getting at a nice story line
Thought the title, IMO could be changed You should sign up for PenPad Forums and post your story there. It will get better reviews and they'll help you out too!

No offense, but "Why Try?" sounds pretty lame XD
Someone told me to name my story "Memento Mori". Latin for "Remember your mortality".

Yeah, no one likes a rushed story.
RE: Currently untitled (A story about life) - Tech - Aug. 07, 2012
Lol, I won't. This is my anti-writers block project, so that's the last thing I want to do. It should be up in about an hour or tomorrow.

Great job Tech War! You have gotten my attention!
RE: Currently untitled (A story about life) - Tech - Aug. 07, 2012
Thanks, but it honestly doesn't matter what you call me anyways, since I'm going back to Tech next month.
War is my name every August, because that was the month that I attended my first tournament. (that's why my user title says "August 14th, 2011 <3")
RE: Currently untitled (A story about life) - *Ginga* - Aug. 07, 2012
That is a good idea. Now every April, I will change my name to Gingka Blader#1, my original username. april 29, 2012 <3
Now I am copying you everywhere I go, lol.
