The Legend of Quetzalcoatl - T. L-Drago 9207 - May. 24, 2012
Author's Note: I just thought I would make a story about the Quetzalcoatl Bey, since I have ideas popping up in certain places.
PrologueLong ago, in the ancient city of Tollan, a Beyblade containing the power and essence of the feathered serpent, Quetzalcoatl, was created by the high priests of the city. This Beyblade, also named after Quetzalcoatl, has proven to be more powerful than any other Beyblade made before it. Fearing the use of the sacred Bey for malevolent purposes, the priests had it locked away in an underground temple, protected by guardians of obsidian. Soon after, a prophecy has surfaced, stating that in 1000 years, a group of strangers shall come forth to the city from beyond, and a "Chosen One" among those strangers would find Quetzalcoatl, and claim mastery over its sacred power. Most people in the city didn't think that this prophecy might come true, considering that the obsidian warriors created to keep guard over the Bey would not be thwarted so easily. But, the priests knew all too well that prophecies are not to be taken lightly. Even after people abandoned the city, the Quetzalcoatl Beyblade, guarded by the obsidian warriors, lies within the inner sanctum of the underground temple, waiting for its "Chosen One" to claim it...
Act 1: Enter Alexander Arkwright
It was the summer of 1900 in the United States of America, and our hero, a young, blue-eyed brunette of twelve years named Alexander Arkwright (Alex for short), had just gotten out of school, along with his friends. He has a taste for the wonders of the ancient world, in spite of being easily bored. His father, Henry Arkwright, is an archaeologist, and because of him, he is interested in the ancient world. He got home, as his mother asks him, "How was school, Alex?", to which he replied, "Boring as usual, mum, but thankfully, it's the last day of school for the summer! I'm going to miss reading all these books about the ancient civilizations there at the school library, though."
She nodded in understanding, as she then says, "You know, your father is going to lead an expedition in South America to find the lost city of Tollan," as she then continued, "And guess what? He is inviting you to come along for the ride!" At that statement, Alex lets out a delighted cheer, happy that he would be joining his father on an archaeological expedition for once. Usually, when his father would come back from an expedition, he brings home a souvenir for him. Just as Alex stopped jumping for joy to catch his breath, his father walked in with a smile on his face. "Hello, honey", started Mrs. Arkwright, "Did they approve of the expedition?", at which he gave a nod for "yes", as he then added, "Though they're not too sure about having Alex come along, but rest assured, he will come along, won't you, son?", to which he replies eagerly, "Yes! I'm going with you! I can't wait to see what we'll find at Tollan!", as his mother retorts, "I'm sure you will, son."
The next day, it was time for Alex and Henry to meet with the other members of the expedition for the trip to come. They meet the archaeologists at the train station, as they went aboard the train to South America. After many long hours of travelling, they arrive in South America, ready to start the search for the city of Tollan. Thankfully, there was an old map that leads to Tollan, found in an earlier expedition that was also lead by Henry. They trudged their way through the jungle, making absolutely certain that they read the map. As they traveled through the jungle, Henry decided to tell his son about Quetzalcoatl. Alex listened on in interest, as his father wove a tale about a feathered serpent god, a metal spinning top created to hold its power, and an underground temple where it is locked up and guarded by warriors of obsidian. He remarks, "You know, a story like this would make a good novel, don't you think?", as his father nodded in agreement. After two days of trudging through the jungle, the team eventually stumbled upon the ruins of a city never seen before; They found the lost city of Tollan. "Wow...", said an awestruck Alex, "So this city isn't just a legend. It's real..."

Act 2: The Underground Temple
"Now that we're here", started Henry, "Let's see what we can find at this city", as he, Alex, and the other archaeologists went to work, deciphering the symbols on the ruined structures, finding fabulous treasures, and locating the entrance to the underground temple. They've deciphered the symbols, found plenty of treasure (as well as a few metal tops), but no entrance to the underground temple. Just when they were going to give up on finding the temple, Alex had gotten an idea, "What if the entrance to the temple was disguised as a well?", at which his father replied, "Now there's an idea, son! I recall seeing a well near the temple of the high priests. Perhaps we could find the secret entrance there!" Kenneth Phelps, a fellow archaeologist remarks, "Well, what are we waiting for, fellows? Let's investigate that well!", as they went to where the temple of the high priests are, and found the well. Alex yells into it, "Hello?! Anyone down there?!", as it echoed back. Little did he know, is that the call awakened something, deep within the bowels of the underground temple. Five obsidian statues that resemble Aztec Jaguar warriors were all standing in a row, when suddenly, they came to life, knowing that someone had come to have found the entrance to the temple. The archaeologists lowered a rope into the dark entrance below. Each lit up a lantern, so that they would see their way through the darkened corridors of the temple. One by one, the archaeologists, including Alex, climbed down the rope into the resting place of Quetzalcoatl.
The group slowly walked their way through the hallways, taking in the sights of the carvings on the wall, depicting the history of Quetzalcoatl. Darrel S. DeLynch, another one of Henry's fellow archaeologists, asks fearfully, "What if the obsidian guardians find us? They might cut our hearts out to sacrifice us!", at which a deep, strong, intimidating voice replies out of nowhere, and in perfect English, "Actually, pale-faced mortal, that job only applies to the high priests of the city!" At the sound of the voice, Henry demands, "Who said that?!", to which another foreign voice says back ominously, "Right behind you all...", as the group turned around slowly...to see the five living obsidian statues standing in front of them, in fighting poses with weapons at the ready. "The obsidian warriors...", Alex gasped in awe, as his father calmly explained, "Great obsidian warriors, we mean no harm. We have come to study the temple, and to discover the secrets that lie within," to which another one of the warriors replied gruffly, "Liars! You have come steal Quetzalcoatl from its resting place!", pulling out a sharp, obsidian-tipped spear.Â
Just as the warriors seemed ready to attack, an authoritative female voice calls out, "Warriors, stand down!", as its owner stepped forward from the shadows; a tall, tan-skinned woman with voluptuous curves, especially on her well-endowed chest. She is also dressed in the kind of clothing worn by the high priests. Her hair is a deep black, and reaches down to her posterior region. "Lady Tlaneci!", gasped the warriors, as they knelt down respectfully. The priestess, known as Tlaneci, asks the archaeologists, "May I ask you strangers on how you have managed to find your way to this city?", to which Henry replied, "We have found our way to this place, by the way of an ancient map found in an earlier expedition that I have lead.", as he showed her the map to Tollan. "I am not that surprised, to tell you the truth, at how you've followed the map. What I am surprised at, however, is how you've managed to find it, for my fellow priests had hidden that map well enough to prevent those vile Conquistadors from finding it," she remarked, looking over the map.
Alex blushed, seeing how beautiful Tlaneci is, hid behind his father shyly. She saw this, and asks Henry with a gentle smile, "Oh, and who is this child?", as he replied, "That would be my son, Alexander. Alex for short.", before whispering to him, "Say hello, Alex," as he slowly drew out from behind Henry, waving "hello" to the priestess nervously. She knelt down to his eye level, giving him a reassuring smile, as he remarks, "You know, Tlaneci, you're quite beautiful," at which she replies with a giggle, "Why, thank you kindly, young Alexander," before standing back up. She turned towards the obsidian warriors, and calmly ordered to them, "Lead us to the chamber, warriors," as they replied in unison, "Yes, Lady Tlaneci." They then got up, and proceeded to guide the group through the inscribed halls of the temple, before finally coming upon the inner sanctum, a chamber where the Beyblade of Quetzalcoatl rests, embedded in a wall at the end of the chamber. "We have arrived at the resting place of Quetzalcoatl," announced Tlaneci, before ushering Alex to step forward towards the wall, having a hunch that he might be the "Chosen One"...

Act 3: Quetzalcoatl Awakens
Alex drew closer to the wall where Quetzalcoatl was embedded. When he was no more than a foot away from it, he slowly draws his right hand to the Beyblade. Just when he was about to touch it, Tlaneci advises, "Do not just simply pull it out of the wall with your hand; Remove it with your spirit," as he nodded to her. He places his hand on the long-dormant Beyblade, as he then closed his eyes and concentrated his spirit. As he does so, the Bey started glowing a bright yellow, as glowing cracks started spreading out from the area where it is, and with one final tug, Alex pries Quetzalcoatl from the wall, also sending a few pieces of it flying. "I knew it," smiled Tlaneci, "He is the Chosen One!", at which Henry curiously asks, "Chosen One? What do you mean by that?", as she replies, "There was a prophecy in which a group of strangers will come forth to the city from beyond, and one of them would become a Chosen One to wield the sacred power of Quetzalcoatl. Now, that prophecy had come true, for your son has been chosen. I would like to teach your son on how to use Quetzalcoatl's power, so that he would not be driven mad by it," before asking Alex, "How did it feel to hold Quetzalcoatl in your hands, child?", as he replied, "I feel honored, Tlaneci, thank you," as he bowed respectfully.
"Now," she started as she pulled out what appears to be a launching apparatus with a small handle attached to a retracting string at the end, with hooks on a circular bottom, as she gives it to Alex, "I shall teach you on how to properly use the power of Quetzalcoatl," as she then brings out a similar apparatus and a metal top that appears to be similar to Quetzalcoatl, but different-looking and represents a different deity. "You have a metal top, too!", gasps Alex, at which she replies, "I believe the proper term for these tops are Beyblades. Before you can match your Quetzalcoatl against my Xochiquetzal, I will teach you the proper techniques on using a Beyblade,", as she suddenly raised her arms dramatically, and as if by magic, a stone podium rose forth from the floor of the sanctum. It also had a smooth, bowl-like interior area, as well. "For your first lesson," she started, "Attach your Beyblade to the bottom hooks of your launcher, like so," as she attaches her Xochiquetzal to her launcher, and Alex following suit. He asks her respectfully, "What's next, Tlaneci?", as she replies, "Aim your launcher over the podium, and then pull the handle as fast as you can, while yelling 'Go Shoot!', which is the traditional battle cry for starting a Beyblade battle," while sending in a training dummy Bey. Alex aims his launcher over the podium, and with one swift flick of the wrist and swing of the arm, he shouts, "Go Shoot!", sending the Beyblade spinning into the podium, as it circled around aggressively inside the 'bowl'. Tlaneci then says, "For your second lesson, you must tell your Beyblade where to move and what Special Moves to use. Quetzalcoatl, at the moment, has the Ishidal Impact Special Move, and it is powerful, I can assure you," as Alex nodded in understanding, as he orders to the Beyblade, "Quetzalcoatl, Special Move: Ishidal Impact!" With that, Quetzalcoatl glows a bright yellow, and smashes into a training dummy Bey that was deployed for the test, causing an explosion that sends it flying out of the podium, as it clinks onto the floor. "Awesome power, personified in what would be considered a child's plaything...", smiled Henry, as his son returned Quetzalcoatl to his hand, smiling at it, before saying to the priestess, "You're right, the Ishidal Impact is powerful. So, what's the next test going to be?", to which she replies, "For your final test, child, you will have to beat me and my Xochiquetzal in a Beyblade battle," aiming her launcher over the podium, as Alex does the same.Â

"Go Shoot!", they both yell, launching their Beyblades into the podium BeyStadium. The two Beys clashed, move for move, counterattack for counterattack, and neither were willing to forfeit. The battle seemed to last forever, but it ended with Quetzalcoatl sending Xochiquetzal out of the Stadium with the Ishidal Impact. "Congratulations, Alex, you have beaten me," praised Tlaneci, as she shook hands with him, also explaining, "You have definitely proven worthy of using Quetzalcoatl. Be sure not to abuse its power. Now, there are four different types of Beyblades. Your Quetzalcoatl is an Attack-type Beyblade, due to its aggressive movement. Attack-types typically have high offensive power, but little stamina and defense. There is a launch technique that can be used to make up for these flaws. Defense-types have better defensive capabilities, and their stamina is a bit higher than Attack-types, and their offensive capabilities are average, sometimes none at all. Stamina-types have plenty of stamina to spare in battle, but little offensive and decent defensive power. Balance-types usually combine two of the three basic types, and there are qualities that must be sacrificed in order to obtain victory in battle. My Xochiquetzal is a Balance-type, combining Defense and Stamina, with below average offensive power. A Beyblade's type can be determined by what parts are used in its creation. Oh, I have almost forgotten, Beyblades are composed of four parts. There is the Face, which holds the other three parts together, the Metal Wheel for attacking and defending, the Track to determine the height, and the Bottom to determine the movement pattern. Quetzalcoatl has a low-profile Track, and an aggressive Bottom, as part of its nature as an Attack-type," as she then hands him a small, wrench-like object. "So I can use this thing to take apart Quetzalcoatl and put it back together?", asks Alex, to which she replies, "Very good, Alexander."
Moments later, we see the archaeologists departing the city, as Alex waved good-bye to Tlaneci, who was also waving back, along with the obsidian warriors, as they went back into the temple. Re-tracing their steps through the jungle, they made it back to the town outside of the jungle, ready for the return trip to the United States. As they sat on the train, Alex thought, "I'm going to miss that priestess. She seemed nice enough.", as he held Quetzalcoatl in his hand.
Chapter End Act 4: The Boy with the Bey of Pegasus
It had been one month since the expedition, and Alexander has been sharpening his skills with Quetzalcoatl during that time (while also making sure not to abuse its power). Plus, he has even learned that launch technique that could allow Attack-types to win almost every time; the Sliding Shoot. The Sliding Shoot, when done correctly, would have the Attack-type move in a flower-like pattern, giving it a good chance to hit Beyblades that spin idly in the center of the Stadium. One day, we see him on his way to the playground on a bright, sunny day. When he arrived, however, he noticed a red-haired boy playing with something by himself. Alex recognized the boy as Nigel Robinson, the son of the local rich man. He goes nearer to him, and noticed that he is playing with a black Beyblade with three silver wings in a red BeyStadium. He determined it to be an Attack-type, due to the aggressive movement pattern it makes, as well as its low profile. When it stopped spinning, Alex could see the picture on the Bey's face; a horse's head with two wings on its sides. He then says to Nigel, "Excuse me," as the rich man's son turned around to see him, and asks him, "What do you want?" Alex replies, "I can't help but notice you having a Beyblade. It looks pretty powerful," and at that statement, Nigel replies, "Why, thank you," before asking, "How did you know it was a Beyblade?", to which Alex replies with a smile as he pulled out his Quetzalcoatl, "Because I have one myself."
At the sight of the Mesoamerican Beyblade, Nigel eagerly remarks, "Wow, and I thought I was the only one in this town with a Beyblade!", at which Alex replies, "So have I. Anyways, this is the Beyblade of Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent," before asking, "So, what's yours of?" Nigel replies, "My Beyblade is Pegasis, which has the motif of the mythical flying horse from Greek mythology," before asking, "Anyhow, would you like to battle?", with Alex replying, "I thought you'd never ask!", as the two Bladers aimed their launchers over the BeyStadium.

"Go Shoot!", yelled Alex, as both he and the rich kid launched their Beyblades into the Stadium. The two Beys raced around in the stadium, clashing and smashing into each other with deep clangs. Nigel decided to spice things up, ordering to his Beyblade, "Pegasis, Special Move: Shining Star Smash!", as it started glowing with a bright light. At that, Alex commanded to his Bey, "Quetzalcoatl, Special Move: Ishidal Impact!", as it glowed bright yellow, before colliding with the three-winged Bey, resulting in an explosion of great power, as both Beys went flying out of the Stadium, as their owners managed to catch them. "How do you like that? We're evenly matched!", remarked Nigel, before realizing, "Also, I didn't get your name,", as Alex smiled, "The name's Alexander Arkwright. You can call me Alex. Also, I know who you are, Nigel Robinson," as they shook hands.
And at this moment, a friendly rivalry between the two boys has been established. They went home that afternoon, their battle on their minds.Â

Act 5: The Left-Spinning Dragon, L-Drago! Part 1
Deep inside a mountain on a rainy day, we see a cloaked figure walking through a hallway carved out of the caverns. His face could not be seen, only a malevolent smile, as the mysterious individual walked towards a podium. On that podium, is a crystalline structure spiking out in multiple directions, as it glowed with an ominous purple light. Inside the very center of the crystal spikes, is a Beyblade, whose Metal Wheel consist of three dragon-like heads facing counter-clockwise. On its Face, is dragon head, and below it is stylized text reading "L-Drago". The mysterious intruder puts his hands on the spike that holds the dragon-Bey, and pulled it out with little to no effort whatsoever, causing the other crystal spikes to break, and their fragments to go flying everywhere. The thief takes a look at the crystal that holds the Bey for a moment, before breaking it against the podium, releasing the Bey from it. He picks up the Bey of L-Drago, and walks off with it, thinking, "L-Drago, the Forbidden Bey, is finally mine! With this left-spinning Beyblade, I will wreak vengeance upon this pathetic world!"
Meanwhile, we see Alexander in his room, having just finished polishing Quetzalcoatl's parts after a hard day of battling with Nigel, when suddenly, something smashed through his window and onto his floor. "Yikes!", he yells, startled by the noise of shattering glass, as he jumps a bit. He calmed down, and turned around fast to see a rock with a note tied to it. Before he could read it, he went to his now-broken window, and yelled outside, "Hey! You owe me a new window, you scoundrel!!" His father heard the commotion, and quickly bursts into the room, yelling to his son, "Alex, what's going on?!", to which he replied, "One minute, I was doing maintenance on Quetzalcoatl, and the next thing you know, someone threw a rock with a note tied to it through my window!". Henry picks up the rock, removes the note, reads it, before handing it to his son, as he remarks, "I think you better read this, son," as he read it.
The note reads:
To whom it may concern,
There is terrible news. In recent days, a very powerful and extraordinarily dangerous Beyblade was stolen by a mysterious individual, and his intent for it is nothing less than malevolent. This Beyblade, is L-Drago, a left-spinning dragon Bey possessing a dark power that could not only cause tremendous damage, but could also potentially threaten the user and other people around him or her. It is also known as the Forbidden Bey for that reason. In ancient times, a magnificent star fell from the heavens, splitting into two pieces. One of the star fragments landed in the very birthplace of the Beyblades, the town of Koma Village. The other fragment was passed down through powerful people who burned with ambition, making its way through the world's greed, eventually becoming L-Drago. Learning of the threat posed by the left-spinning Bey, the people of Koma Village created the original Pegasis to do battle with L-Drago. After an arduous conflict between the two Beyblades, Pegasis won. L-Drago was then sealed away in a large, crystalline structure, deep inside a treacherous mountain, never to rise again, until now. This note has been written for all Beyblade owners everywhere, to warn them of the threat of L-Drago and the person who stole it. If you see this individual, FLEE ON SIGHT, for that Beyblade may be too powerful for anyone to defeat!
Signed,
The Elders of Koma Village
PS: We sincerely apologize for having to throw that rock through your window, if any.
"Wow, this must be serious, if a Beyblade like this is ever loosed upon the world," remarked Alex after he finished reading the note. His father nodded in agreement, as he replies, "In this case, son, be on your guard. There is no telling what may happen should you confront L-Drago," as Alex retorts, "Don't worry, dad, I'll be careful!"
The next day, Alex went to the playground, intent on telling Nigel about the note. When he did meet up with Nigel, he found that that he too received the note from the Elders of Koma Village, whoever they may be. "It looks like we better be careful when we play with our Beyblades," started Nigel as he continued, "We might attract the attention of that vile scoundrel who stole L-Drago. Plus, when I first read my copy of the note, I was surprised that were was more than one Pegasis Beyblade!", Alex was about to reply, when another voice remarked, "So you've got that note, too!", as its owner, a young girl with long, blonde hair came into view. She is also wearing a plain, white dress. In her right hand, is a Beyblade whose Metal Wheel is composed two large, long slopes that connect together to form a circle, and is also red on certain parts. Its yellow Face has a side-ways red marking of a woman's face with fiery, flowing hair. Beneath it, is a stylized text reading "Virgo", with the letters spelling the Beyblade's name shaped like diamonds. It has a tall, yellow Track with four, short wings sloping downwards. Its Bottom is ball-shaped, ending in a sharp point. "Oh, hello there, it looks like me and Nigel aren't the only ones in this town to have Beyblades," smiled Alex, as the girl replies, "Of course not. A few families in this town each had a Beyblade that's been passed down through many generations, especially the wealthy Robinson family. But out there in this world, there are more families that have Beyblades passed down through generations, than just these few in town. Anyways, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Abigail Dillidow. You can call me Abby, if you want. My Beyblade is Virgo, a Stamina-type."
"A Stamina-type, eh? Looks pretty smooth. The name's Alex, Alexander Arkwright," grinned Alex, introducing himself in return, also showing her Quetzalcoatl. "Would you look at that, I've never seen a Beyblade like this before. How did you get it?", asks Abby curiously, as Alex explains, "Oh, that? I've got it in an expedition in South America. My father was the leading archaeologist, and I went with him. I found this Beyblade of Quetzalcoatl in an underground temple," at which Abby replies, "Amazing," before asking him, "What type is it?" Nigel replies for Alex, "It's an Attack-type, same as my Black Pegasis," as Abby remarks, "I can see that, due to its low profile," when she noticed dark gray storm clouds rolling in. "I'd best get back home, wouldn't want to be all soaking wet from the rain, if any," remarked Abby as she quickly waved good-bye, before leaving. "That's strange," started Nigel, "It is Summer, and yet these storm clouds are coming in," at which Alex asks, "Do you think that these dark clouds might be a sign of L-Drago's dark power?", as the rich boy replies, "I don't know, but we will know for sure if it is caused by the left-spinning dragon."
The friendly rivals don't know how right they are, in identifying the strange change in weather as an omen of L-Drago's coming...
Part 1 End
Act 5-2: The Left-Spinning Dragon, L-Drago! Part 2
The two young rivals were about to leave the area back to their respective residences, when they heard a commotion and a terrified shriek. "It's Abby!", gasps Alex, at which Nigel replies, "She could be in trouble! Let's go!", as the two ran to where the commotion is coming from, which is at the Dillidow House on the outskirts of town. When the two made it, they find the house with the front practically blown off, and Abby kneeling down, while holding her right arm in pain. Not only that, but Virgo is on the ground, terribly damaged with scratches, scrapes, and gashes. Nigel asks her in concern, "Abigail, what happened?", at which she replies with a pained grunt, "That cloaked man mentioned in the note; He was here, along with L-Drago!" "Really?!", started Alex before demanding, "What did he or his Beyblade look like?!", at which Nigel retorts, "Hold on for a minute, Alex!", before calmly asking Abby, "Had anything happened when he showed up?". She explains, "When I got home, I was having tea with my mother, when the front of the house suddenly exploded. Debris was flying everywhere! I went downstairs to investigate, and when I did, I found our poor butler knocked out, and that more than just the front door is destroyed! It is then that I heard a sinister laugh. I turned around fast, and there he was; that cloaked man who stole L-Drago! I then demanded for his name, and he replies that it wasn't important for the moment. He called himself the Dragon Emperor! I got out my Virgo, hoping to drive him away--", when Nigel interrupted, "Didn't you read the note? It said to flee on sight!"
"Hey! Don't interrupt her!", retorts Alex, before saying to her, "You were saying?", as she continued, "Anyways, I launched my Virgo to drive the Dragon Emperor away, as he sent out L-Drago to counter it. Our Beyblades clashed on, until he had L-Drago unleash a Special 'Dark' Move called the Dragon Emperor: Soaring Bite Strike, dealing a lot of damage to Virgo, also defeating it. I was also knocked to the ground by the force of the attack, as the self-proclaimed Dragon Emperor then left. To answer Nigel's question, I wouldn't stand for that scoundrel intruding on our home like this. As for what L-Drago looked like, its Metal Wheel resembles three dragon heads circling to the left. It is also an Attack-type, having a Flat Bottom, and a low-profile Track. The Dragon Emperor used a left-spin variant of the BeyLauncher."
The two nodded in understanding, as Alex remarks, "I think you need to report this attack to the police," as he and Nigel helped her up, and guiding her to the telephone, which is intact. One day after the police was contacted about the attack, the Sheriff issues a All-Points Bulletin for the Dragon Emperor, saying that if he is sighted, that he or she is to report to the police immediately. Later in the afternoon, Alex heads to the playground for his usual rendezvous with Nigel. When he arrived, however, he finds the playground in shambles. Not only that, but Nigel lays there, unconscious with bruises and scratches. His Black Pegasis was also in a damaged state, too. "Oh...oh no...the Dragon Emperor's got him, too," whimpered Alex in terrified shock, before growling angrily, "That nasty rat will pay!", as he went to get the police. An hour later, the police closed off the playground, while Nigel was taken to the hospital for medical treatment. Alex thought to himself, as he went through town in search of the hooded malefactor, "It seems it's all up to me, now. If I can't take down L-Drago in battle, then no one will be safe from its dark power!", as yet another loud racket started; someone is under attack! He rushed to where it came from, which is the police station, to find it in a ruinous state, with many officers lying on the floor injured, among them, the chief. Alex went over to the chief, and asked him respectfully, "What had happened here? Did the Dragon Emperor come here, too?" He replies, "Come here?! My great-grandpa had seen disasters that caused more damage than this! And yeah, he came here, just a few minutes ago. He didn't like how we've put up the APB on him," as the son of Henry Arkwright asks him, "Which way did he go?", at which the chief pointed, "That-a-way, but stay away from him, he's too dangerous!"
"I'll take my chances...", grumbled Alex, as he went off in the direction that Dragon Emperor left the police station in. After a few moments of jogging, he stumbled upon the cloaked troublemaker in the ruins of the playground, just standing there. "So, you finally found me," he started with an arrogant tone, "I, the great and powerful Dragon Emperor, was beginning to think that you would cower out of this.", to which Alex replies angrily, "Emperor, you have caused enough damage here! It's time to answer for all the trouble you caused, and to return L-Drago to its rightful owners!" At this statement, the evil one lets out a sinister chuckle, as he retorts, "You and what army, Arkwright? I've just made a mess of your friends and their Beyblades! What chance do you think you have against my L-Drago!?", holding up the Forbidden Bey with a soulless smile. "I don't know if I do have a chance, but I'll do whatever it takes to prevent you from hurting any more people!", Alexander snarls, holding up his Quetzalcoatl in return. "Quetzalcoatl, eh?", sneers Dragon Emperor arrogantly, "Hah! It is powerless against L-Drago!", as he engages the left-spinning dragon Bey to his left-spin launcher, while Alex did the same with his Quetzalcoatl and his own launcher. The air practically tensed, as a standoff ensues...

"Go Shoot!", they both yell, launching their Beyblades into action. Alex starts off the battle, by ordering to his Bey, "Quetzalcoatl, Special Move: Ishidal Impact!", as it took on that distinctive golden glow. In response, Dragon Emperor commands, "L-Drago, Special Dark Move: Dragon Emperor: Soaring Bite Strike!!", the Forbidden Bey taking on a fiery, violet aura of dark power and increasing its speed. When the two Special Moves collided, a great, spiralling pillar of conflicting energies erupted. "You'll never beat L-Drago, it's more powerful than anything before it! Not even with the power of the feathered serpent!! EVERYTHING SHALL BE BROKEN!!", yelled Dragon Emperor with wicked fury and malice, eyes glowing purple, but Alexander retorts, "Maybe, maybe not. But, if there's one thing that can win a battle, it's not about using some dark power! It's about using your competitive spirit to win your battles! A no-good bonehead like you wouldn't understand it, 'cause all you'd like to do is make a mess of things!", before ordering to Quetzalcoatl, "Alright, Quetzalcoatl, give it everything you've got!!", and at that one command, the silver Beyblade started pushing back the foul, corrupted energy of L-Drago, as a huge explosion occurred. The two opposing Bladers stood their ground against the forces of the explosion, as Dragon Emperor's cloak came flying off, revealing the real appearance of the troublemaker. He is a tall young man, with white, spiky hair with a red highlight. His skin tone is tan, and he also has yellow eyes that seemed to just peer into one's soul. His fingernails are as sharp as a dragon's claws. In his frown are a pair of canines that looked sharp enough to poke holes into just about anything they bite. His arms are also muscular. "So", started Alexander, "This is what you really look like!", at which he retorts with a smirk, "Yes, that's my real appearance. My real name is Ryuu-oh, which means 'Dragon King' or 'Dragon God', thus my self-proclaimed title of Dragon Emperor!", as the archaeologist's son then asked, "What's your motivation for stealing L-Drago in the first place?!". Ryuu-oh was about to reply, but someone beats him to it, "For revenge. Ryuu-oh wants to use L-Drago to get revenge on the world, for the death of his family," at which he turned to see a group of elderly men in regal-looking robes, along with two guards, as well as a familiar face; Tlaneci.
"Tlaneci!", smiled Alex, but frowned as he added, "I'm so sorry that I've disobeyed the note sent to me by the Elders. I didn't want him to get away with this injustice!", as she replies, "It is alright. Anyways, you have a battle to finish!", to which he nodded, before turning back to the battle at hand. "Alright, Ryuu-oh, I'm ready to put this battle in the bag!", as he ordered to Quetzalcoatl, "Quetzalcoatl, Special Move: Ishidal Impact! Full Power!, as its energies in the pillar started to overcome L-Drago's, resulting in a great explosion, the forces of which forcing Alex, Tlaneci, and the Elders of Koma Village to keep from getting blown away. Ryuu-oh wasn't so fortunate, as he was knocked onto the ground, unconscious. When the smoke cleared, L-Drago had stopped spinning, its Metal Wheel in a terribly damaged state, with scratches, scrapes, and cracks. Quetzalcoatl is also still spinning, albeit gradually slowing down, before stopping, also showing fresh battle damage on its Metal Wheel. The Face is also had cracks. "I've done the impossible;", started Alexander in awe as he picks up Quetzalcoatl, "Defeating L-Drago in battle...I won. You've done well, Quetzalcoatl." While Ryuu-oh was unconscious, the Elders had their guards tie him up, intending to put him on trial for the theft of L-Drago. Tlaneci is asked by Alexander, "What will happen to L-Drago? Will it have to be destroyed to prevent anyone else from stealing it?", at which she replies, "No, but it will be repaired, and the Elders will attempt to cleanse it of the dark, negative emotions that it absorbed throughout its long history. Plus, when L-Drago purified, it will be given to a highly responsible individual for safekeeping. As for Quetzalcoatl, we shall repair it, too."
"Thank you, Tlaneci", Alexander says gratefully, "By the way, how did you and the Elders get here so fast?", to which she replies with a gentle smile, "Xochiquetzal has more than one Special Move; as a matter of fact, all Beyblades can have more than one Special Move. The one I used allowed us to appear in any place at any moment."
A few days after "The Great L-Drago Incident", as it would be known, Quetzalcoatl is fully repaired (and given an altered color scheme), and everything went back to normal. Not only that, Ryuu-oh has been brought before the Elders of Koma Village, and was found guilty. It is unknown what punishment Ryuu-oh has received, but one thing is for certain; it'll serve him right for all the trouble he caused. Also, Abby and Nigel's Beyblades are also repaired by the Elders, and so is L-Drago, who was since purified and, surprisingly, given to Henry Arkwright for safekeeping. But, little did Alex know, is that the adventures had only just begun!

Act 6: The Ferocious Roar of Leone!
One day, in a small mansion, we see a young man with wild green hair being handed a Beyblade, as his father smiled, "Congratulations, my son, you are now the current possessor of the family heirloom; the lion Beyblade, Leone!", at which the young man replied, "Thanks, father," as he looked over the metal top. Its white-colored Face has a picture of a roaring lion's head with a crown on it. Below the lion head is stylized text reading "Leo", a clue to the Bey's motif of the lion from Greek mythology. Its Metal Wheel has six lion paws in a pattern resembling a lion's mane. Three of the paws are sloped slightly down and curving outwards, with purple markings on them. The other three paws are smaller, with no markings, and are sloped downwards and outwards. Its Track is the same height as that of Virgo's Down Force Track, but with no blades to push air downwards. Its Bottom has a sharp tip with a very wide angle. This young man, is Leon Strowbridge, heir to the Strowbridge fortune. His father is the head of a well-known shipping company in the downtown area. Leon asks his father, "Do you know of anyone else in this town who has a Beyblade like my Leone?", to which he replied, "You know, I've heard that Alexander Arkwright, son of the archaeologist Henry Arkwright, possesses a powerful Beyblade that has the essence of Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent god of old." "Quetzalcoatl...", Leon thinks, "I'd definitely like to see how it would fare against Leone in battle!", as his father continued, "Not only that, but old Oswald Robinson's son has one of few Pegasis Beyblades that were created in Koma Village," at which Leon grins, "The arch-rival of Leone! Anyways, When shall I get to meet this Alexander Arkwright in battle?"
Meanwhile, at the Arkwright home, we see Henry polishing L-Drago's parts after a training battle with his son, when he heard a knock on the front door. Mrs. Arkwright says, "I'll get it!", as she went to answer the door. She opened it, to see Leon, alongside two retainers. "Hello", she started, "How can I help you fellows?", to which one of the two retainers asked, "Excuse us, ma'am, is this the residence of Alexander Arkwright?", to which she replies, "Yes," before calling to her son, "Alex, there's someone at the door for you!", as he rushed to where his mother is. "Who is it, mom?", he asks, to which she replies, "You're not going to believe this, but it's Leon Strowbridge!", at which he gasps, "The son of that wealthy merchant, Lionel Strowbridge?!", before asking the heir, "Anyways, Leon, what do you want?", to which he replied with a confident grin, "My father has heard that you have the Beyblade of Quetzalcoatl. Plus, I've recently inherited Leone, a Defense-type Beyblade that's passed down through many generations of the Strowbridge family."
"Oh, so you want to battle me and Quetzalcoatl?", started the archaeologist's son, "Alright then, we shall meet at the playground later this afternoon, sound fair?", to which Leon replies with a cocky gleam in his eyes, "I don't mind a few spectators for our battle, but I'd like to offer more of a challenge with a new, specially-designed BeyStadium in my home," as Alex replies, "Very well. This will be the first time I've taken on a Defense-type." Later in the afternoon, we see Alex arriving to the Strowbridge mansion, and at the front door stands Leon, with a smug look on his face that reads, "You won't stand a chance!". Alex starts, "I'm here, Leon, lead the way to this specially-designed Stadium of yours," to which the rich merchant's son replies, "I thought you'd never ask, Arkwright!", as the two went inside the mansion. As they went through the halls, Alex took glances at all the fancy stuff owned by the Strowbridges. A few moments later, they made it to the basement, where the BeyStadium is. It is wide in diameter, and it has an angle in the bowl that is just right for Defense-types.
"Nice, isn't it?", Leon asks, "What this Stadium is capable of, you'll be seeing in our battle to come!", as the two opposing Bladers went to their sides of the Stadium. They aim their BeyLaunchers over the Stadium, as they begin the countdown of the Beyblade battle cry
"3..."
"2..."
"1..."
"Go Shoot!", they both finish, as they launch their Beyblades into the Stadium. Just as the battle began, Leon orders to his Beyblade, "Roar, Leone! Special Move: Lion Gale Force Wall!", as it dutifully proceeds to create a large, miniature tornado coming from the center of the Stadium, where the Bey spins. "Look alive, Quetzalcoatl!", ordered Alex, "This is not going to be easy!!", as it struggled to keep from getting sucked in by the fierce winds generated by the opposing Bey's Special Move.

Act 7: A New Special Move, The Fearsome Howl of Wolf, And A Good Idea!
"What's the matter?", taunted Leon, "Can't handle Leone's power!? Hah! Too bad for you! Send him flying sky high, Leone!!", as the Defense-type dutifully increases the intensity of the tornado, slowly drawing Quetzalcoatl towards it. Just when all hope seemed lost to Alex, he came up with an idea for a new Special Move! He ordered to his Beyblade, "Quetzalcoatl, Special Move: Ascent Spark!!", as the Attack-type dutifully obeys, spiraling up the fierce currents of the tornado. Leon assumed that the Lion Gale Force Wall was going to slice Quetzalcoatl apart, but Alex retorts, "Actually, Leon, I'm having Quetzalcoatl travel along the current of the tornado! Now, watch closely!", as the ancient Mesoamerican Beyblade, went higher and higher, until it almost reached the basement's ceiling, when it came diving straight down on the inside of the tornado, into the eye of the storm, so to speak. It dove faster and faster, until it struck Leone in the Face, and hard, causing the tornado to dissipate and Leone to come flying out of the BeyStadium and into the wall. "Oh...my...gosh...", started the awestruck Strowbridge heir, when he eagerly finished, "That was invigorating! I may have to train hard, and come up with a new move to counteract that Ascent Spark!", as he then shook hands with Alexander, "Plus, we must get Nigel Robinson over here, when we meet again in battle sometime!"
The archaeologist's son was about to reply, when the both of them heard the sounds of a Beyblade battle, followed by what sounds to be a wolf howling and a lion roaring. "What was that?", asks Leon, to which he replied, "It sounded like a Beyblade battle, and a fierce one, too. Let us investigate!", as they went upstairs, before going out of the mansion to find the source of the noise. When they left the premises of the mansion, they found that Leon's father, Lionel, had gotten into a fierce Beyblade battle against a spiky-haired, yet sharply-dressed man wearing classes, and it ended in a draw. "Father, what is going on, and who is this man?!", Leon asks, to which the wealthy merchant replied, "No time to explain, son, I had just gotten into a Beyblade battle that had just now, ended in a tie," before turning to the stranger, "This is not a time to gloat of your so-called victory! Neither of us had won, so leave this place, Donovan Lupus!"
The man, now identified as Donovan Lupus, simply sneered, "Very well. I will make my leave, but mark my words, Strowbridge, I shall come forth to challenge you again!", as he left. Lionel regained his composure, before explaining, "That man was Donovan Lupus, a member of the prestigious Lupus family. Like me, he is a merchant, and also my closest competitor. He is also known to be a highly ambitious man. Just as Leone was passed down through our family, the Lupus family has a powerful Balance-type Beyblade, Wolf, also passed down from father to son to grandson. Its Metal Wheel is shaped like two wolves circling in a clockwise direction, and also had the words 'Wolf Wheel' on both sides, too. It has a mid-profile Defense Track, and a Ball-type Bottom for stability in battle. Wolf would've been classified as a Defense-type, seeing as the Defense Track and Ball Bottom are Defense-type parts, but due to the strong offensive power of the Metal Wheel, the Bey was systematically classified as a Balance-type. Not only that, but it has a powerful Special Move known as the Darkness Howling Blazer, which creates a dark hole that can suck in opposing Beys like a vacuum, and tear them apart!", as Alexander then asks with respect, "But, Mr. Strowbridge, how could you fend off Wolf when Leon had just inherited Leone?", to which the merchant replied with a confident smile, "With this, young Arkwright!", holding up a Beyblade who has the same Metal Wheel as Leone, but with a low-profile Track, and a Flat Bottom. Leon gasped, "There's more than one Leone!? How does that even work, father?!", to which he replied, "Apparently there were three Leone Beyblades created in Koma Village. Yours was the very first ever made, and I was given the second one as a parting gift on a business trip," as Alex then asked, "What happened with the third Leone?" Lionel replied, "The third Leone Bey is hidden somewhere among the ancient Greek ruins. Many tried to find it, to no avail. It's that well-hidden, but never fret, boys; Somebody will find it, one day!"
Later that day, Alex went on to go home to talk about what had happened at the mansion. On the way, he noticed Leon walking alongside him, too. "So, why are you walking with me, Leon? Don't you have things to attend to back at the mansion?", asks Alex, to which the green-haired heir replied, "I've already done the educational work given to me by my tutor this morning, giving me plenty of free time, as long as I come back before dinner. Plus, I've also heard that your father's got the left-spinning L-Drago." At this statement, the archaeologist's son replied, "The Elders figured that he would be responsible enough to keep L-Drago safe from the wrong hands.", as Leon continued, "Plus, there's this idea that hatched in my head like a chicken egg on the farm, and I felt that I've just got to share it with you," to which Alex asks, "And what would this idea be?". Leon smirked, "The idea, is that you and I would probably get together with some of the other Bladers in this town, maybe even a few from different corners of the globe, and start a sort of sanctioning body for Beyblades," as Alex replied, "I guess we'll have to come up with some names for this theoretical organization, perhaps at my house."
They soon arrived at the Arkwright residence, and went up to Alex's room upstairs to discuss the ideas for the sanctioning body. "Alright", started Leon, "You any ideas for names?", to which the wielder of Quetzalcoatl replies as he pulls out a pencil and paper, "We can write them down on this piece of paper," as he and the Strowbridge heir started writing down suggestions for the name of the theoretical governing body for Beyblade. There were all manners of names written down on this particular piece of paper, such as the "Worldwide Beyblading Committee", the "International Federation of Beyblade", "Beyblade World League", and even the "Beyblade Battle Community". Eventually, they decided on the perfect name for the theoretical governing body, and this name, is the "World Beyblade Organization", or the W.B.O. for short. But, it would be years before the W.B.O. could be founded. Until then, there are still plenty of things to do.

Act 8: An Old Friend of Henry, the Balance of Libra, and the Perilous Poison of Escolpio!
One day, we see Henry Arkwright going through the mail, when he finds a letter addressed to him by an old colleague of his; a man named Bradley McSmith. Henry opens the letter, and reads it. The letter reads;
Dear Henry,
I am coming over to your residence to see you again, after all these years, so I could catch up with you on lost times. Plus, I've found something that may catch your interest, and I will show it to you when I arrive.
Signed,
Bradley Morgan McSmith, Archaeologist
PS: I've also heard that your son has Quetzalcoatl, and I want to see for myself if it's true.
After reading this letter, Henry smiled, fondly remembering his days in university with Bradley.
Meanwhile, we see Alex, Nigel, Abby, and Leon in a fierce, four-way Beyblade battle at the playground. Of course, some of the local children are watching, acting as the spectators for this particular battle. There were comments flying around among the spectators, such as; "Wow! This is amazing!", "It's a shame that I didn't bring my Brownie camera for this.", "I wonder who's going to win!", "Hey, isn't that Leon Strowbridge!?", "That merchant's son is here? Now this I've got to see!", "Oh, drat! I can't get a good snap-shot of this with my Brownie!", and even "What do you know? Nigel Robinson's here, too!", as the battle went on. Suddenly, a small, green blur flew into the BeyStadium, and knocked away all four Beyblades out of it in a single motion, sending them clinking onto the ground, as they were then retrieved by their owners. "What in the world was that?!", gasps Nigel, as Leon replies sharply, "Who cares, Robinson? Something interrupted our battle!", and Abby asks, "Why don't you look in the BeyStadium?"
The four Bladers looked into the BeyStadium to see the green blur, which happens to be a Beyblade, moving around very aggressively in a flower-like pattern. "Wow, whatever Bottom this Beyblade is using, its tip just can't be made of plastic. Even my Wide Flat couldn't build up enough friction to make that flower pattern!", remarks Alexander, but Leon retorts, "Friction or no friction, we still don't know whose Beyblade is this!", to which a new voice replies, "Oh, that one's mine, kids. And, uh, sorry about interrupting your battle, I just wanted to show you whippersnappers what my Beyblade could do." The voice belonged to a full-grown man in clothes commonly used by archaeologists. He also has a light tan skin tone, with black hair, and baby blue eyes. The man walks over to the BeyStadium, and picked up his Beyblade, whose Metal Wheel is very circular, with small notches surrounding its perimeter. It also has two, needle-like designs coming from either side of the hole where the Face goes. On its Face, is a symbol of a weighing scale that seems to have a motif of a bat. Below it is the Beyblade's name in Cloister Black font, "Libra". It also has a mid-profile Track that is a bit shorter than the Defense Track used by Donovan's Wolf. It also has two layers of protrusions resembling the teeth of a cog. Attached to it, is a tall Bottom with a flat tip that is made of rubber. The surface area of the rubber tip is a bit wider than that of Quetzalcoatl's Wide Flat Bottom. "So, who are you anyways?", asks Leon with his hands on his hips. The archaeologist replies, introducing himself, "The name's Bradley, but you can call me Brad for short," before asking, "Now, do you have any direction to the Arkwright residence?"
At that, Alex realizes, "You're my dad's old colleague, aren't you?", to which Brad nodded. Later that afternoon, we see Henry reading the newspaper, when he heard a knock on the door. He answered it to see not just his son, but also Bradley. "Well, if it isn't my old friend, Bradley Morgan McSmith!", he smiled, also giving him a friendly hug. "Yeah, Henry, it's been a long time since we've seen each other," Brad smirked back, and also adding, "Oh, and about that thing I discovered, let me get it out," as he then reached into his pocket, and pulled out his Libra for his old friend to see. "Wow, this Beyblade looks really powerful," remarked Henry, as his colleague, "Why yes. With its Rubber Flat Bottom for extremely aggressive movement, and its Change Track for switching between two different heights, my Libra's power is well-balanced for any battle," at which Alex praised, "Wow, so this might as well be the ultimate Balance-type Beyblade!" Just when Brad was about to reply to this statement, something, or better yet--someone, came flying through the open front window, and landed onto the floor with a thud. It was Leon Strowbridge, and Alex gasps in shock, asking him, "Leon! Are you alright!?", to which the heir replies, "Come on, hurry! You're not going to like this; some brute with a scorpion Bey is picking on everyone at the playground!", as he slowly got up from the floor.
"You don't say?", asks Bradley, to which Leon nodded, as the former remarked, "Well, then, we've got a bully to punish!", as he, Leon, Henry, and Alex rushed over to the playground, to see the bully in question, battling Nigel. He is relatively tall for his age, and has a pretty stocky build, too. The bully also had a rather unusual hair style, but all the same, he's got a nasty smile on his face, as he ordered to his Beyblade, "Escolpio, break that Pegasis into pieces with Poison Drive!", as it dutifully took on a poisonous purple aura, then dealing multiple rapid hits on the the black Attack-type, before sending it flying out of the BeyStadium with one last clang. The scorpion Bey returned to its master's hand, as he then lets out a mean-spirited cackle, and brags, "I am victorious, and you're nothing but a pathetic weakling, Robinson!!", holding up his Beyblade, which is apparently named Escolpio. The design of its 20mm-tall Metal Wheel consists of two large scorpion tails connected at each end in a particularly circular shape, except for the small crevices created by the lines dividing the tails. On its dark-brown Face is a green caricature of a scorpion with two angry eyes, with its stinger at the ready. Below it is Escolpio's name, with its letters in a stylized font. Escolpio also boasts a high-profile Track that has three "wings" with defensive hooks. The wings also cover more than half of the Track's circumference around its center. The Beyblade also has a Ball-type Bottom, signifying Escolpio's nature as a Defense-type. Alex rushes over to Nigel, and asks him, "Are you alright?", as the rich man's son replies, "I'm fine, I just lost to this brute with the strange hair style, and Black Pegasis has taken considerable damage," as he picks up his Attack-type.
Henry growls to the bully, "Young man! What do you think you're doing, picking on all these kids?!", to which he replies with an arrogant chuckle, "Hah! I do as I please, old man!", as the archaeologist grumbles, "He doesn't have respect for his elders, either!", and he then slowly reaches into his pocket to bring out L-Drago, when Brad interrupted, "No, I'll deal with Victor," engaging Libra to his launcher. At that, Alex asks Brad, "You know him?", to which the wielder of the Balance-type replies, "Why yes. I knew his father, William Venomous, from university. He was a mean-spirited bully, always harassing us at every chance he gets. Last I heard, the scoundrel had a son named Victor. That mean-spirited behavior is just like that of his father's, although I don't recall him using a scorpion Beyblade," as Victor sneers, "That's because my father has limits on how he pushes people around, and using Escolpio, the heirloom of the Venomous Clan, is where he draws the line! But anyways, your Beyblade looks pretty powerful, so I challenge you!!", engaging the Defense-type to a dark brown BeyLauncher, before aiming it over the BeyStadium, while Brad did the same.

"Go Shoot!", they both yell, launching their respective Beyblades into the Stadium. Escolpio raced towards Libra, but the latter managed to dodge the Defense-type at the last second, causing it to almost have a Stadium-Out, were it not for Victor managing to order the scorpion Bey to stop in place. "Alright then", started the bully, "Crush that Balance-type!! Poison Drive!!", and Escolpio dutifully comes careening towards Libra as it stood in place, but Brad simply orders to the Balance-type, "Height Change," as its Change Track switched from a mid-profile height to a high-profile height. Despite Escolpio landing the multiple rapid strikes of the Special Move, Libra wasn't phased and didn't move an inch. "What the Heck?! How is it that my Poison Drive has failed me all of a sudden?!", demanded the brute, as the archaeologist replies with a smug look on his face, "That's the beauty of the Change Track; high-profile height for defense, and mid-profile height for attack. Not only that, but my Libra's Metal Wheel is heavier than your Escolpio's and has better weight distribution. Plus, Escolpio's Metal Wheel may look heavy, but it actually isn't; It's as hollow as a bell," before ordering to his Bey, "Special Move: Sonic Wave!", as it started glowing green before firing multiple energy waves at the Defense-type, slicing through it. That's when Victor got cocky, "Hah! Was that supposed to beat my Escolpio!?", as he then noticed the Defense-type scorpion Beyblade slowing down drastically, before sleeping out entirely, showing deep gashes in the Metal Wheel, as it then fell apart all of a sudden, much to its master's shock and horror. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!", Victor shouted loudly to the heavens, as he then picked up the pieces of the Defense-type, and ran off.
"You did it, Brad, old buddy!", praised Henry, as he and the others started cheering for the archaeologist, as he replies modestly, "Oh, it was nothing, everyone. Victor was far too cocky, but I have to admit; the Poison Drive is a powerful move, but Libra's defenses rendered it absolutely useless."
Chapter End Act 9-1: Ryuu-oh's Return! Part 1
In a candlelit room, we see the immortal priestess Tlaneci meeting with the four Elders of Koma Village. "Ryuu-oh has served his punishment, and he wants to prove himself among the Bladers of the world," started the red-haired leading Elder, "But still, with his family having been murdered so cruelly seven years ago, the self-proclaimed Dragon Emperor himself may still want to avenge them," as Tlaneci nodded in agreement, and she states, "Agreed, Head Elder Hagane. Plus, I recall something about a right-spinning dragon Bey created with the same constellation as L-Drago," to which another Elder, who is shorter than the other three and has pale green hair, retorts, "You mean Dragonis, don't you, Tlaneci?", as she nodded again. The Elder then asks, "What if Ryuu-oh finds out about it? What if he is overhearing us right now, even as we speak?!", to which Head Elder Hagane calmly replies, "Never worry, Elder Yumiya, Dragonis is not filled with the same dark power that L-Drago had once possessed. Asides from that, we all know who killed his family--", but a spiky-haired Elder, Tategami, sharply interrupted, "And you've hidden it from him for so long! The boy has every right to know!", as Elder Yumiya agrees, "Elder Tategami is right, Ryuu-oh must know, that the name of his family's murder is--", but the priestess retorts, "Alright, that's enough, you two! We must wait until the right time to reveal the murderer's identity," to which Head Elder Hagane raised his hand. "Tlaneci, they are right. He must know the name of his family's killer. Now, why don't you come in...Ryuu-oh?", as the white-haired Dragon Emperor in question walks out of the shadows and into the view of the Elders and Tlaneci. He asks the Head Elder, "How did you know I was there?", to which he replies with a chuckle, "You know very well that my hearing is amazing for my advanced age, child; I could hear you breathing.", before explaining, "Anyhow, the name of your family's murderer, is Donovan Lupus, a wealthy merchant infamous for his ambitiousness. He is the one who ordered the death of your family, because he tried to bribe them, but they would not accept the money. Lupus is also in possession of one of our fiercest Beyblades ever created; Wolf, a Balance-type that can create a destructive black hole capable of tearing apart opposing Beyblades.", as Ryuu-oh then asks, "Where can I find this Donovan Lupus?"
Meanwhile, at the Arkwright home, Henry is thinking back to when he was entrusted with L-Drago by the Elders after the incident with Ryuu-oh.
[FLASHBACK SCENE]
It had been five days since the Great L-Drago Incident, and we see him talking with the Elders. "Me? You want me to keep L-Drago safe? Do you how much power this Beyblade possesses?", he asks them, while the physically largest of the four, Elder Hanawa, nods before explaining, "We do know of the dark power that it held, but it is now gone, for we have cleansed the energies of the left-spinning dragon. L-Drago now possesses the vast power of the cosmos, that the second star fragment, from which it was made, originally held. We chose you to keep the left-spinning dragon Bey safe, because you can hold your own in a confrontation, especially when you have a firearm. Do you remember that expedition you lead in Egypt, when you had to prevent one of your fellow archaeologists from stealing the treasure of that pharaoh's crypt?"
At that, Henry thought back to the aforementioned expedition; one that he lead in the vast desert of Egypt. You see, he and his expedition crew were searching for the tomb of a wealthy pharaoh said to be hidden beneath the sands by the gods themselves. They found the tomb, but it turns out that one of the archaeologists is a greedy carp, who attempted to steal the treasure for himself, only to be thwarted by Henry, who had him stripped of his job after the expedition. He then replied, "Yes, I do remember. But what does that have to do with giving me L-Drago for safekeeping?", to which Head Elder Hagane responds with a confident smile, "We believe that you're strong enough for this heavy task. If anyone tries to steal the now-former Forbidden Bey from you, they will live to regret it!"
[END FLASHBACK]
Henry sighed, looking over the left-spinning dragon Bey in his hands, before saying to it, "You've certainly went through a lot of trouble to finally come into the hands of a responsible individual; One who isn't willing to use your power as a weapon of absolute destruction and chaos."
Upstairs in Alex's room, we see him, Leon, Nigel, and Abby coming up with stuff for the proposed W.B.O., and writing them down onto a piece of paper. For instance, Nigel suggested a sort of membership card that advances in rank, after certain numbers of battles are won by its owner in W.B.O. tournament events. Just as they finished writing down all the ideas they could, the four Bladers heard a knock on the door. Alex went to answer it, and when he did, everyone's eyes widen in shock with a horrified gasp, at the person in the doorway; Ryuu-oh. Alex asks the white-haired youth in surprise, "R-R-Ryuu-oh, what are you doing here?! Have you come take L-Drago back!?", to which the Dragon Emperor replies calmly, "Relax, Arkwright, I'm not here to cause any trouble, at least not for you and your friends. But, I'm here to take revenge on Donovan Lupus, and to show you something else as well," as he pulls out a new Beyblade from his pocket. It looks similar to L-Drago, only the dragon heads that comprised the Metal Wheel are circling to the right, rather than left. The dragon heads are also differently styled than those of the former Forbidden Beyblade, like those from medieval European mythology. Not only that, but the symbol on its Face is of a menacing-looking dragon facing rightward. The Bey also has the same Track and Bottom as Quetzalcoatl. This new Beyblade, is Dragonis, the right-spinning dragon. "Would you look at that?!", gasped Nigel as he asks, "Another dragon Bey...How did you get it?", to which Ryuu-oh replies, "For your information, Nigel, the Elders told me where to find it, but don't worry your head off, I didn't force them to. Besides, Dragonis here is made with the same constellation as L-Drago, essentially making it the brother of the former Forbidden Bey!", and at this statement, everyone gasped, while Ryuu-oh made an amused chuckle, as he thinks, "I just love this reaction!"
Leon then asks, "Hold on a minute! Now why would you have it in my father's business rival?!", to which Alex replies to him, "Isn't it obvious, Leon?! Lupus must be the one behind the death of his family!", as the Strowbridge gasped in shock, before remarking, "We know Donovan to be a highly ambitious man, but why would he order the demise of his family?", to which the self-proclaimed Dragon Emperor replies, "It was seven years ago that he tried to bribe them into doing his dirty work, but they refused. Then again, my family and I always did prefer to live out a simple, quiet life out in the country. That one fateful night, I was getting back home from helping a neighbor out, when I noticed smoke rising from where our house was. I quickly rushed back there to find our house on fire, and my family in their dying moments. I cried out to the heavens in pain and anger at this injustice, and swore revenge. I started blaming everyone and everything for what had happened, and started to search for a weapon powerful enough to exact my vengeance. Of course, that lead me to hunting down L-Drago, after overhearing about it. I've spent seven years looking for someone who knows where L-Drago was hidden. When I did, I went into that mountain where the left-spinning dragon was sealed, and of course, you all know what happened next."

Act 9-2: Ryuu-oh's Return! Part 2
"It's terrible what happened to your family, Ryuu-oh. What were they like?", asks Abby. Ryuu-oh explains, "My family, they were the best. My father was a woodcutter, chopping down trees like nobody's business. My mother was a humble woman who really knows how to make a pie. I had a younger sister, Ryuu-hime, and boy were we close. Her name means 'Dragon Princess'. As a matter of fact, most people in our family had names relating to dragons. To see Ryuu-hime die along with mother and father that fateful day seven years ago, it drove me mad, leading to my desire for revenge. Now that I know who the culprit is, I intend to find him, and finally avenge them."
Meanwhile, in the grand dining room of the Lupus Estate, we see Donovan enjoying dry-cured ham with goat cheese, as well as orange juice in a wine glass. "Ahhh, nothing fills a man up with dry-cured ham and goat cheese, the very best of mankind's culinary inventions," smiled the merchant as he took another bite. Just as he is about to take another sip of his orange juice, he hears his butler coming into the dining room. "Yes, Harrison, what is it?", asks the ambitious merchant, to which the butler, whose name is Harrison, replies, "Pardon my interruption of your dinner, but there is someone familiar who demands to challenge you to a Beyblade battle," as he is asked by his employer, "Who is that demands to match wits against me and Wolf?"
"ME!", a vicious male voice shouted from outside. Donovan stopped eating his meal, and left the dining room, walking to the front doorway and opening it, to see a ferocious-looking young man, staring at him with an intimidating gaze. This individual appeared to be 5'9, having fierce brown eyes and thin black hair. His attire consisted of black shorts, thick, steel-toed boots, and a T-shirt that had a logo with the words, "Harley-Davidson", embossed on it. "I thought I'd try the Beyblade thing out," he said with a rather unstable tone, "And I hear you're some kind of expert on it." Donovan gave the stranger an odd look, and crossed his arms in a discomforting manner. "Who are you anyway?" he questioned arrogantly. "What a snotty way to ask me something!", he barked angrily, "Dranzer, prepare for battle!"
The odd man pulled out a small, black, rectangular ripcord-type launcher, engaged a strange blue Beyblade to it, and launched it in Donovan's direction, shouting, "Go Shoot! Attack, Dranzer Auto Change Balancer!" Once the Bey came with in touching distance, Donovan dived out of the way, allowing "Dranzer" to decimate the front door. "My, what a madman you are!", Donovan shouted, pulling out his own BeyLauncher, and quickly engaging Wolf to it. "Go Shoot! Destroy him, Wolf!!", the merchant shouts, launching the Balance-type out onto the floor, as Dranzer somehow charged near it, without even being given the command to. Donovan took cover behind the bushes, watching the stranger's Beyblade attempting to decimate Wolf. "Alright Dranzer, AURA BOMB!" he yelled. A crystal-blue aura surrounded Dranzer, and Wolf quickly darted out of the way just as a grenade-sized explosion occurred. Chunks of scorched cement flew everywhere, and nearly caught the rare, exotic plants on fire. "You're insane!", Donovan exclaimed in alarm. "**** you! I wanted a match, and you complain?!", the stranger roared furiously. Dranzer moved closer to its master, and slowly stopped spinning. "Dranzer, return!" he ordered, somehow triggering the Bey to fly up into his backpack. "...This isn't over yet, Lupus!", the stranger whispered, pointing at him as he slowly walked away. Donovan sat in his place, staring in the man's direction with a mortified look on his face. "My lord...", he muttered in horror, "Who is that hot-tempered, foul-mouthed, reckless young man? Nonetheless, I somehow doubt that this is the last that I would ever see of him."
Meanwhile, we see Alex, Abby, Nigel, Leon, and Ryuu-oh on their way to the Lupus Estate, when they suddenly heard the sounds of a terrified female scream, a gruff male voice saying, "I'm going to--What the Hell!? Who are you!?", and a heated scuffle. "What was that?!", started Leon, to which Alex replies, "It's nearby!", pointing to an alleyway, where the beat-down is occurring. They rushed to the alleyway, to find two men, one of which having been knocked out and onto the ground, and a woman hiding behind a trashcan in fear. The man standing over his downed opponent happens to be that same stranger who gave Donovan a run for his money back at the Lupus Estate. The newcomer came over to the woman, and says to her reassuringly, "It's okay, he's knocked out. You may want to get out of here while you still can. That guy might wake up anytime soon," as she nods and goes off on her merry way. Nigel asks him, "Excuse me, but have you just saved that woman from that thug lying before us?", to which he replies, "Yeah, he was about to do something nasty to her, so I've beat the living **** out of him, and saved that lady's skin." All five Bladers gasped at the use of the newcomer's use of a profanity, and Abby asks Leon, "Did he just...?", as the Strowbridge fortune's heir replies, "Yeah, he did say it." Ryuu-oh, offended, demands to him, "Grrrraaaagh! How could you use such language?! There's children present, you know!"
"Hey, no need to be hostile about it, man!", retorts the stranger, "It's just words after all, how does it hurt anyone?" Ryuu-oh carefully stepped forward, and asks him, "Well, then, who are you anyways?" The stranger crossed his arms with a blank expression on his face. "My name is Chrome," he answered slowly, "I came here from the future with a psychic named Silver (and no, he can't read minds), looking for...REED!" Chrome's facial expression turned to one of pure rage, after speaking that name. "Pardon me, but who is this Reed?", Nigel asked curiously. "Reed is an abomination from Hell," Chrome answered with an ugly tone, "A nasty, perverted creep that traveled through time, and came here running away from anyone and everyone trying to bring him to justice. I have to stop him before he starts doing something terrible to the women in this time period."
As if in response to Chrome's words, the sounds of twisted giggling, as well as a terrified shriek, could be heard from behind. "Hee hee hee ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Open wide!", laughed a demented voice from underground. "What was that?!", asks Alex, to which Chrome replies angrily, "It's Reed, and he's about to r--do something disgusting to some poor woman!" At this, Leon replies, "Well, then, we have to go save her, and stop this brute!", as he uses his Leone to blast open a hole to where Reed is. "Was that a Beyblade you used just now?", asks Chrome, to which the heir replies proudly as he returns the Defense-type to his hand, "Yes, it's my Beyblade, Leone!", at which the former remarks, "I happen to have a Beyblade myself. But anyways, let's get this over with!", as he then jumps down the hole created by Leone, followed by the other five Bladers.
[Moments Later]
"ARRGH! I'll get even with you, Chrome!!", Reed swore, as he runs off, having gotten his fun spoiled by Chrome and the five Bladers. "Coward!", Ryuu-oh snarls, "He got away!", as Alex retorts, "Don't worry, Ryuu-oh, we'll get that Reed." Abby asks Chrome, "You did say that you have a Beyblade, right?", to which the latter nods, before reaching into his pocket, and pulling out his blue Balance-type; Dranzer Auto Change Balancer. "Would you look at that?", starts Nigel, "I've never seen a Beyblade like this before. What's it called?", to which Chrome replied with a confident smile, "Dranzer. Full name; Dranzer Auto Change Balancer." At that, Alex asks, "Would I be right in assuming that this is a Balance-type?"
Chrome was about to answer Alex's question before hearing Reed's voice once more, angering him again. "Biolizard, cover my escape!", he yells. The Beybladers turned around, and saw a spherical capsule flying into the air. As the round capsule opened up, a white flash lit up the area, and sent a huge reptile-esque creature onto the plane. This particular beast resembled a Japanese lizard, with external mechanical implants mounted across the entire mass of its body. The front of its mouth had two long, grey tubes on the sides of its mouth, connecting to a large module sitting on its back, which happened to be decorated with a big red pour in the middle. This device appeared to be something that resembled an large dull-hued oxygen tank, having metal wrappings on the sides, with recessed ports on the front and backsides. The texture of its skin was rough, being dark brown in coloration and dirt-grey on the inward surfaces. It had three-toed feet in front, and two on its rear limbs, which were next to its ten-feet long tail.
Between its hind legs and tail, appeared to be gills that looked just like exhaust fans on a jet, and another pair were mounted on the left and right side of its torso. The reptile's mouth was neither thin nor wide, and had four long horns on the sides of its chin, all being pale-yellow in color. Its eyes appeared to be a pair of generic microscopes, having limited resemblance to something unique. On the top of its head, was an object that resembled a flash light with a rounded bulb protruding outward, which was silver in terms of color. Overall, this beast was rather menacing, and it appeared to be intimidating the others to a noticeable degree (mainly due to it being almost as large as the mansion).
"What is that frightening abomination?!", Abby gasped in horror. The monster turned its head, glaring at Abby as if it were insulted. "It's the Biolizard, a man-made monstrosity!" Chrome exclaimed, before hearing Reed's annoying giggle once more.
"Alright, Biolizard! Go ahead and kill Chrome with Shadow Ball!", Reed ordered. The giant lizard turned around, staring at Reed in a frightening manner. "Why are looking at me like that?", the disturbing teenager asked, before realizing, "Uh-oh!" The Biolizard then opened its mouth wide, snatched Reed off the ground, forcing him into its mouth. The BioLizard then swallowed Reed whole, and turned back to face the group head-to-head. "LEMME OUTTA HERE!", Reed screamed at the top of his lungs from within the Biolizard's stomach, though it was thoroughly muffled.
"My word!", gasped Nigel, "It ate the pervert, and I think we're next!", preparing his Black Pegasis 100HF, as the other four Bladers prepared their Beyblades, too. Chrome warns them, "Aim for that life-support unit, that device on its back!", as he prepares Dranzer for what is to come.
The Biolizard lets out an ear-piercing roar, as thousands of pink, egg-like spheres appeared out of thin air. "What the-?" Ryuu-oh gasped. "Ignore them!", Chrome told Ryuu-oh, making eye-contact with Alex one second later, "Alright everyone!"
"Go Shoot!", they all shouted in unison, as the Beyblades came spinning into the air, all aimed at the Biolizard's life-support system. The beast retaliated by sending his orbs flying in their directions, while shooting Shadow Balls out of his mouth to keep them away. Quetzalcoatl and Pegasis managed to evade the incoming attacks, while Dranzer and the other Beys were buffeted by the eggs and shadow balls. Quetzalcoatl dodged to the left, and darted towards the monster's "flashlight" at a dramatic pace.
The Biolizard then noticed Quetzalcoatl's presence, and spat out a purple Shadow Ball at a mind-blowing speed. The Shadow Ball instantly struck Quetzalcoatl, and sent the strong Beyblade flying into the cieling. "Dammit!", Chrome yelled, watching Quetzalcoatl getting knocked out. The beast made a noise that resembled something similar to a snicker, failing to notice that Black Pegasis had made it to the center of his life-support system. The powerful Beyblade then delivered a brutal strike at glowing pour, and leaped off.
The Biolizard screamed in pain with a volume that shattered nearby windows, triggering the monster to display erratic behavior. "That did it!", Nigel cheered happily, while Chrome was staring at the Biolizard with a horrified look on his face. The artificial beast resumed focus on the Beybladers, glaring at them with a homicidal look on his face. "I don't think he's too happy about that!", Chrome announced with a quivering tone. The Biolizard looked up at the sky, and howled with a deep-pitched tone. The Beyblades then floated into the air, and spun around vertically. "Huh...what in the world is going on?!", Alex muttered, before he started floating upward as well, also managing to grab Quetzalcoatl. "He's reversing the gravity--whoop!", Chrome told everyone as he floated into the air, as well. The newfound Beyblader looked at the BioLizard, and saw (literally) millions of his orbs emerging out of nowhere.
"Hee hee hee hee hee!", Reed giggled from inside the beast's stomach, "You are all going to die!", at which a new voice retorts, "Don't count your chickens before they hatch, Reed!", as it then yells out, "Basalt Horogium, Special Move: Time Freeze!" At that moment, a blur from out of the shadows, struck the Biolizard, causing it to suddenly freeze in place, as the pink energy orbs disappeared, as well. After striking the Biolizard, the blur flew back into the shadows. Also, the gravity has reverted back to normal, causing the six people fighting the genetically-engineered monstrosity to fall back onto the ground. "Is everyone alright?", asks Ryuu-oh, as Alex, Abby, Nigel, Leon, and Chrome nodded. "Who or what saved our skin?", asks Abby, as she dusts herself and Virgo off. Another new voice replies, "We did," as the six turned around fast to see two newcomers emerging from the shadows. One of them is a tall young man with unusual silver hair that reaches down to his knees. He is also wearing a metallic grey suit of highly-steamlined, futuristic armor with the initials "TT" emblazened upon the breastplate. In his right hand is a Beyblade with the same type of Track as Leone, as well as a much wider version of the Defense Bottom. The Metal Wheel is perfectly circular, with six sections each having six ridges resembling gear teeth. It also looked incredibly heavy, too. Attached to the Metal Wheel is a gray, gear-shaped, translucent ring resembling a clock, with Roman numerals, only with the number 3 being missing. On its clear Face that holds the parts together, is a symbol resembling a pendulum clock with four hands pointing north, south, east, and west, with an angry eye in the center. In the armored young man's left hand is a sort of grip, holding a metallic gray BeyLauncher with the Beyblade's Face symbol on it.
The second newcomer is a humanoid being resembling a hedgehog, with silver fur. He is also wearing gold cuffs encircled by cyan lines, that go around his wrists and legs that are just a bit higher than his gloves and boots. His boots are indigo colored down the side, and have teal-colored tips, with a white line going through the middle of each teal tip. On the top of the middle of each shoe, is a red, gem-like adornment. The cyan designs on his gloves consists of a circle connected to a line on the bottom that goes down to his cuff. This second newcomer, is Silver the Hedgehog.
(A/N: Just so you know, this chapter is a partial crossover with a series of crossover fanfics written by a friend of mine on Bulbagarden. I hope you don't mind.)
The armored youth introduced himself, "Lt. Cassius Chronos, Time Troopers United States Branch, at your service. I was sent here to your time period to investigate the appearances of three different individuals from an alternate timeline. It turns out that these three, are Chrome, Silver the Hedgehog next to me, and Reed, whom the Biolizard had swallowed moments ago. The Beyblade I had used to save you from the Biolizard, is Basalt Horogium 145WD, a Defense-type that can manipulate time. It also known to some as Twisted Tempo," as he holds up the Beyblade, whose name is Basalt Horogium. The five Bladers, except Chrome, nodded in understanding, as Silver started, "Chrome and I have been pursuing Reed for quite a while. You see, he wants revenge on Reed, for kidnapping him from his parents, and trying to make him as perverted as he is."
Chapter End
Act 10-1: Blaze, the Atlantean Bey of the Sun! Part 1
One day, somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean, we see a mysterious group of men in cloaks travelling on a yacht towards a specific area of the ocean, as the vessel then stopped. One of the men, who is wearing a more ornate cloak than his compatriots, possibly the leader, came up to the bow, as he then raises what appears to be a Beyblade up high in the air with his hand. This bluish-colored Beyblade has a Metal Wheel that consists of five rounded wings, each one in the shape of a trident, with water flow-like patterns on the sides. The symbol on its deep-blue Face depicts a crowned, bearded head looking to the left, with trident-like protrusions spiking out from the rear. The head is also dark blue, with a lighter hue of the color, along with various pink designs. The Beyblade also has a mid-profile 125 Track, along with a Defense Bottom, both in a translucent blue-green color. Suddenly, the Beyblade's Face started glowing in an aquatic blue light, as the earth then started shaking intensely. From out of the blue, rises a small island. On it, is an ancient temple with a symbol of the Sun on it. The man holding the Beyblade started laughing triumphantly at this, as he then proclaims, "After centuries of lying dormant at the bottom of the sea, the Temple of Blaze has risen once more!"
Inside this temple, we see the cloaked men walking their way through the ancient hallways, whose walls are inscribed, depicting what appears to be a Beyblade with the very motif of the sun itself, held up in the air by what seems to be Poseidon, the Greek God of the Sea. The cloaked men eventually made it to a chamber, whose walls are also inscribed. In its center, is a long staircase leading to a small stone shrine on a podium. It is then, that the leader of the cloaked men hands a cloaked youth his Beyblade, before motioning him to climb the staircase. After a moment or two, the youth reached the top of the staircase, before coming up to the shrine, which has two small doors. In the center of the double doors, there is a hole, small enough for the Beyblade to fit in. The mysterious youth then inserts the leader's Beyblade into the hole, causing the doors to glow, before opening slowly with a stony grinding noise, revealing a small object wrapped up in cloth. The youth's face could not be seen, due to the shadow made by his hood, but a steely smile could, as he then grabs the object from the shrine, and unwraps it. The youth then holds up the object for all to see, and it happens to be a red-and-orange Beyblade. The yellowish-colored symbol on its Face, is shaped like the Sun, and seems to have an "eye" in the center. If one could look closely, he/she could see the letters S U N (which spells "Sun") spread around the center twice. Its Metal Wheel is divided into four sections, each one having three leaf-like spikes; each second spike has a yellow highlight, making for twelve spikes. The center part of the Metal Wheel where the Face screws in, is in a light orange color. It has a translucent-red, three-winged Track of the 145 height, which appears to have some sort of mode-changing gimmick. In the same color, is a variant of the Semi Defense Bottom. "Behold!", the youth started, "The Beyblade of the Sun, Blaze! A Bey with ultimate power in all fields; Attack, Defense, Stamina, and Balance.", before calmly asking the leader, "Forgive me, grandfather, was I dragging on?", to which he replies, "No, my boy, you were not. More importantly, you are worthy of the legendary 'Ultimate-type' Beyblade...Sol Invictus."
Meanwhile, we see the Arkwrights spending the day at the beach, when suddenly, from out of the blue, comes a intense thunderstorm, forcing the them to leave and return home. When they did, Alex starts, "That was odd. Today is supposed to be a bright and sunny day, and yet this thunderstorm came out of nowhere. Whatever caused it, it must be incredibly powerful!" His father replies, "You're right. It might be a Beyblade of great and terrifying power, perhaps even more so than when L-Drago was corrupted by the Dark Power." It was then that they heard knocking on their front door. "I'll get it!", Alex says, as he goes to the door to answer it. When he opened the door, he sees Tlaneci standing before him with a serious expression. He asks her, "It's a Beyblade causing this weather, isn't it?" The priestess nods, as she was then let in by Alex, not wanting her to get struck by the lightning. He then leads her into the dining room to discuss the situation with his father. "Tlaneci," started Henry, "Do you know what kind of Beyblade would case this outrageous weather?" She nods, before explaining, "Long ago, Poseidon, the God of the Sea, entrusted the people of the lost continent of Atlantis with a Beyblade possessing the power of the very Sun itself; Blaze, an Ultimate-Type Beyblade. They used Blaze as a weapon of war in its attempt to invade the city of Athens, only for Poseidon to seal it away in a temple. As punishment for misusing the power of the Ultimate-Type, he had the continent of Atlantis sink into the sea in a single day and night of misfortune, along with the temple that Blaze was sealed away in. Now, thousands of years later, Blaze has been brought back into the world, this time by a cult of people who are descended from the Atlanteans. I don't know what they may use Blaze for, but I have a hunch that it cannot be for noble purposes."
Alex asks, "What can we do, Tlaneci? If Blaze is this powerful, then what chance does my Quetzalcoatl stand against it? None!" She gives him a reassuring smile, as she replies, "You will not be fighting Blaze's owner alone, child. You will need to gather other Bladers in your effort to stop the Atlantean descendants from using Blaze's power for evil purposes." Henry remarks, "If it is possible, I'll come along on the journey. I've been sharpening my skills with L-Drago's power whenever I got a chance. I've even created a new Special Move, but I'm not going show anything of it unless it gets serious when we battle the wielder of Blaze." The immortal priestess was about to reply, when she hears a knock on the door, to which Mrs. Arkwright calls, "I'll get it!!" as she then went to answer the door. She opens the door, revealing Nigel Robinson, Leon Strowbridge, Abby Dillidow, and surprisingly, Ryuu-oh. Mrs. Arkwright smiles, "Oh, do come in, before this dreadful weather does something bad to you!" as they walked in. Alexander smiles, "Hello, fellows, what brings you all here?" Nigel replies, "We've came here, figuring that you've noticed these treacherous weather conditions." The former nods, as he then explained the situation to his compatriots. Ryuu-oh remarks, "For a Beyblade like that to cause this weather, it's insane," as Leon puts in his two bits, "When I get my hands on the ones causing this, we'll all give them what-for!" Abby retorts, "Yes, Leon, we certainly will make them all pay. Who knows what suffering they may be causing, even as we speak?"
Part 1 End
Act 10-2: Blaze, the Atlantean Bey of the Sun! Part 2
Henry asks Tlaneci, "Where was the temple that Blaze was sealed away in?" to which she replies, "It was in the Atlantic Ocean, where the lost continent of Atlantis also sank. We knew of this when a surviving chronicler from the island, along with some of his fellows, took refuge in Tollan centuries ago. Not only that, but it is also said that the temple that held Blaze could only be unlocked when a Beyblade of Poseidon is brought before it." Alex remarks in understanding, "So that's how this cult acquired Blaze. When can we leave to find this cult, and put a stop to their plans?" Leon, Abby, and Nigel nods with agreement, as Tlaneci replies, "We will leave in five days, which will give us time to sharpen our skills, should we ever face the Blader who now wields Blaze. Not only that, but there's a bit more to the story that I've neglected to reveal. A Beyblade was indeed used to defeat Blaze in the battle of Athens, but its Bottom is something extraordinary. It was designed to combine both incredible offensive power, with near-impenetrable defense. This Bottom is also made with rubber, much like the Rubber Flat Bottom used by Bradley McSmith's Libra. After the sinking of Atlantis into the depths of the ocean, the Bottom was put into a shrine, and hidden somewhere in a location that only few people know."
At this, Alex asks, "What kind of Beyblade used this rubber Bottom? And do you have a map that leads to this shrine?" To these questions, Tlaneci replies, "It was an Attack-Type, much like yours. It was created in the Golden City of El Dorado. The Bey was given to the Athenians as a weapon, to fight off the Atlantean forces. Its Wide Flat Bottom could not provide enough power to defeat Blaze, so the rubber Bottom was equipped to it. The two opposing Beyblades became evenly matched, and with one strongly-powered Special Move, Blaze was defeated, and the Atlanteans were forced to retreat." Leon retorts, "With all due respect, priestess, but El Dorado is a myth...isn't it?" She replies, "Oh, but it is indeed real. A powerful magic spell was used to hide the city from the conquistadors, therefore securing its place in mythology," before turning back to the son of Henry Arkwright, "And about the map. I do indeed have it, but it would not be easy to open the shrine. The doors can only be opened with the powers of four ancient Beyblades, one of each type." At this, Leon quips, "Leone's a Defense-type," as Abby adds, "My Virgo is a Stamina-type. Alex's Quetzalcoatl is an Attack-type. All we'll need now is a Balance-type, but Donovan Lupus and Chrome are the only ones we know with Balance-type Beyblades, and the former would not be so willing to come along for the journey. He might prove untrustworthy. As for Chrome, he is still trying to get revenge on Reed and looking for his parents." At this, Alex moans, "Great. There's no-one else we know with a Balance-type Beyblade--Wait a minute! How did I forget your Xochiquetzal!?" as Tlaneci smiled, "See? Nothing to worry about," as she takes out her Beyblade, Xochiquetzal, for all to see.
(A/N: I never got to describe what Xochiquetzal's Metal Wheel looked like in Chapter 1, so I'll do it in 10-2!)
The shape of its Metal Wheel consist of five butterflies in a smooth, rightward circular pattern, no doubt with both Defense and Stamina in mind. In addition to the mid-profile D125 Track and Semi Defense Bottom, its Face bears the motif of a butterfly, with two wings different from the other. One wing is smooth and elegant, and the other wing is jagged and fierce. Each wing also held the half of the letter "X", representing the Beyblade's name of Xochiquetzal, the patroness of pregnancy and protector of young mothers in Mesoamerican mythology. "Yes," started Leon, "With this, we have the means to open the shrine. But, what if someone tries to stop us," as he then noticed a cloaked figure outside the window, "Like this chap?! Don't let him get away!" as he and the others rushed outside to pursue him, while Mrs. Arkwright warned, "Don't get fried by the lightning!" The group ran as fast as they could, with the cloaked figure a few feet ahead of them. Leon, getting impatient, decided to launch his Leone at the intruder, while ordering, "Special Move: Lion Gale Force Wall!" The Defense-type dutifully flashes its motif before generating a tornado that captures the stranger, as he then gets whirled around and around in the furious winds of the Special Move. After a moment or two, the tornado dissipated, revealing the cloaked stranger on the ground, panting heavily on his hands and knees from his experience in the whirlwind. "Guuuuughh," he panted, "I can't breathe! I can't breathe! You didn't have to do that!" as he then calmed down. Before he could do anything else, he felt himself being lifted by neck by Henry, who sternly demands, "Alright, you! Why were spying on us?! Are you trying to stop us from thwarting whatever plans your cult has in store for the Ultimate-type?"
The cult member nodded fearfully, as he replies, "I'm not actively trying to stop you, though. I'm merely sent to find if there's any Bladers that may pose a threat, and report back to Grandmaster Mikab. Yeah, he's the head of it all! As far as I know, he's havin' his grandson, Sol Invictus, wield Blaze. I can't tell what our plans are for Blaze's power, so you lot'll have to find out for yourselves!" before wrenching himself free from Henry's grasp and fleeing. The archaeologist was about to go after him, but was held back by Tlaneci as she remarks, "Just let him go, Henry. It is only a matter of time, before the Atlantean descendants will be active in trying to stop us from interfering in whatever they may be up to. We have to find that Rubber Defense Flat Bottom as soon as we could." At this, Alex asks, "Rubber Defense Flat...Is that the rubber Bottom that defeated Blaze in the ancient past?" as the priestess nods, before responding, "We will leave to find the shrine of the Rubber Defense Flat, RDF for short, in the morning. For now, we must rest." The next day, a trip to Greece, which is where the shrine of the RDF Bottom is hidden in, is well underway. It was also financed by Lionel, who also took the severity of the situation seriously. After a few days of traveling, they made it to the ruins of Athens, which is where the map to the shrine of the RDF Bottom begins. They followed the ancient map to an ancient, dusty, wooden trapdoor. Opening the trapdoor, revealing a deep, dark hole. They then lit up a lantern while lowering a rope into the darkness. As each climbed down into the hole, Henry and Ryuu-oh stayed topside, should any more of the cultists show up.
Tlaneci, Alex, Leon, Nigel, and Abby walked through a dark, foreboding hallway, using the lanterns to light their way. They also noticed inscriptions on the walls, detailing the Bottom's use in the battle between Athens and Atlantis. After a few minutes, they eventually made it to the end of the hallway, finding a stone shrine with two doors. On the doors are four small jewels, each in a different color, likely representing a different Beyblade type. "Well," started Nigel, "This is it. The shrine of the Rubber Defense Flat." Tlaneci nods, before explaining, "To open the doors, there must be four ancient Beyblades, one of each type, held up in front of these gems. Each gem has a different color, corresponding to a different Bey type. If I remember correctly, red means Attack, blue for Defense, green for Stamina, and yellow for Balance." At this, Nigel holds up his Black Pegasis in front of the red gem, but nothing is happening, as he turns to Alex, "I guess it's up to you to activate that red gem, friend." He nods, before holding up his Quetzalcoatl in front of the jewel, as it glows, at which he smirks, "It's working!" In response, Leon, Abby, and Tlaneci each held up their Beys in front of the gems of their respective types, causing them to glow, too. All four gems shined in the darkness for a moment or two, before shattering. Before anyone could react, the doors of the shrine slowly open, revealing a tall, translucent red Bottom with a wide encasing that holds a rubber tip with a large, flat surface and a small protuberance in the middle which ends in another flat point. This Bottom, is the Rubber Defense Flat, which was used by the Athenians to defeat Blaze in the ancient past.
Alex smiles, "So, this is RDF," as he takes the Bottom into his hands, looking at it in wonder before putting it in his pocket. They then deicded to get back to Henry and Ryuu-oh, retracing their steps through the hallway, and reaching the entrance and climbing back up the rope. They then see Henry and Ryuu-oh deep in a heated two-on-two Beyblade battle against two men in cloaks, most likely members of the cult.

RE: The Legend of Quetzalcoatl - T. L-Drago 9207 - May. 24, 2012
Act 2: The Underground Temple
"Now that we're here", started Henry, "Let's see what we can find at this city", as he, Alex, and the other archaeologists went to work, reading the symbols on the ruined structures, finding fabulous treasures, and locating the entrance to the underground temple. They've deciphered the symbols, found plenty of treasure, but no entrance to the underground temple. Just when they were going to give up on finding the temple, Alex had gotten an idea, "What if the entrance to the temple was disguised as a well?", at which his father replied, "Now there's an idea, son! I recall seeing a well near the temple of the high priests. Perhaps we could find the secret entrance there!". Kenneth Phelps, a fellow archaeologist remarks, "Well, what are we waiting for, fellows?
They might cut our hearts out to sacrifice us!", at which a deep, strong, intimidating voice replies out of nowhere, and in perfect English, "Actually, pale-faced mortal, that job only applies to the high priests of the city!". At the sound of the voice, Henry demands, "Who said that?!", to which another foreign voice says back ominously, "Right behind you all...", as the group turned around slowly...to see the five living obsidian statues standing in front of them, in fighting poses with weapons at the ready. "The obsidian warriors...", Alex gasped in awe, as his father calmly explained, "Great obsidian warriors, we mean no harm. We have come to study the temple, and to discover the secrets that lie within.", to which another one of the warriors replied gruffly, "Liars! You have come steal Quetzalcoatl from its resting place!", pulling out a sharp, obsidian-tipped spear.
What I am surprised at, however, is how you've managed to find it, for my fellow priests had hidden that map well enough to prevent those vile Conquistadors from finding it.", she remarked, looking over the map.
Alex blushed, seeing how beautiful Tlaneci is, hid behind his father shyly. She saw this, and asks Henry with a smile, "And who is this child?", as he replied, "That would be my son, Alexander. Alex for short.", before whispering to him, "Say hello, Alex.", as he slowly drew out from behind Henry, waving "hello" to the priestess nervously. She knelt down to his eye level, giving him a reassuring smile, as he remarks, "You know, Tlaneci, you're quite beautiful.", at which she replies with a giggle, "Why thank you kindly, young Alexander.", before standing back up. She turned towards the obsidian warriors, and calmly ordered to them, "Lead us to the chamber, warriors.", as they replied in unison, "Yes, Lady Tlaneci.", as they got up, and proceeded to guide the group through the halls of the temple, before finally coming upon the inner sanctum, a chamber where the Beyblade of Quetzalcoatl rests, embedded in the wall. "We have arrived at the resting place of Quetzalcoatl", announced Tlaneci, before ushering Alex to step forward towards the wall, having a hunch that he might be the "Chosen One"...

Act 3: Quetzalcoatl Awakens
Alex drew closer to the wall where Quetzalcoatl was embedded. When he was no more than a foot away from it, he slowly draws his right hand to the Beyblade. Just when he was about to touch it, Tlaneci advises, "Do not just simply pull it out of the wall with your hand; Remove it with your spirit.", as he nodded to her. He places his hand on the long-dormant Beyblade, as he then closed his eyes and concentrated his spirit. As he does so, the Bey started glowing a bright yellow, as glowing cracks started spreading out from the area where it is, and with one final tug, Alex pries Quetzalcoatl from the wall, also sending a few rocks flying. "I knew it", smiled Tlaneci, "He is the Chosen One", at which Henry curiously asks, "Chosen One? What do you mean by that?", as she replies, "There was a prophecy in which a group of strangers will come forth to the city from beyond, and one of them would become a Chosen One to wield the sacred power of Quetzalcoatl. Now, that prophecy had come true, for your son has been chosen. I would like to teach your son on how to use Quetzalcoatl's power, so that he would not be driven mad by it.", before asking Alex, "How did it feel to hold Quetzalcoatl in your hands, child?", as he replied, "I feel honored, Tlaneci, thank you.", as he bowed respectfully.
"Now", she started as she pulled out what appears to be a launching apparatus with a small handle attached to a retracting string at the end, with hooks on a circular bottom, as she gives to Alex, "I shall teach you on how to properly use the power of Quetzalcoatl", as she then brings out a similar apparatus and a metal top that appears to be similar to Quetzalcoatl, but different-looking and represents a different deity. "You have a metal top, too!", gasps Alex, at which she replies, "I believe the proper term for these tops are Beyblades. Before you can match your Quetzalcoatl against my Xochiquetzal, I will teach you the proper techniques on using a Beyblade.", as she suddenly raised her arms dramatically, and as if by magic, a stone podium rose forth from the floor of the sanctum. It also had a smooth, bowl-like interior area, as well. "For your first lesson", she started, "Attach your Beyblade to the bottom hooks of your launcher, like so.", as she attaches her Xochiquetzal to her launcher, and Alex following suit. He asks her respectfully, "What's next, Tlaneci?", as she replies, "Aim your launcher over the podium, and then pull the handle as fast as you can, while yelling 'Go Shoot!', which is the traditional battle cry for starting a Beyblade battle.", while sending in a training dummy Bey. Quetzalcoatl, at the moment, has the Ishidal Impact Special Move, and it is powerful, I can assure you.", as Alex nodded in understanding, as he orders to the Beyblade, "Quetzalcoatl, Special Move: Ishidal Impact!". With that, Quetzalcoatl glows a bright yellow, and smashes into the dummy Bey, causing an explosion that sends it flying out of the podium, as it clinks onto the floor. "Awesome power, personified in what would be considered a child's plaything...", smiled Henry, as his son returned Quetzalcoatl to his hand, smiling at it, before saying to the priestess, "You're right, the Ishidal Impact is powerful. So, what's the next test going to be?", to which she replies, "For your final test, child, you will have to beat me and my Xochiquetzal in a Beyblade battle.", aiming her launcher over the podium, as Alex does the same.

"Congratulations, Alex, you have beaten me.", praised Tlaneci, as she shook hands with him, also explaining, "You have definitely proven worthy of using Quetzalcoatl. Quetzalcoatl has a low-profile Track, and an aggressive Bottom, as part of its nature as an Attack-type.", as she then hands him a small, wrench-like object.
As they sat on the train, Alex thought, "I'm going to miss that nice priestess. She seemed nice enough.", as he held Quetzalcoatl in his hand.

Then just put them in separate spoilers to keep the OP from looking huge, haha.
