Oh for the love of...okay, this is how you do it.

The anime is called Danball Senki. Set into the future in 2050, technology has improved over time, starting from the fortified cardboard box that can take any damage and absorb any impact and the robotic toys that children play with. However, the toys were deemed too dangerous, and so it was decided to combine the use of the fortified cardboard box and the toys to create a playsafe area. This is what became known as LBX.

Yamano Ban, who had lost his dad, a famous scientist and leading developer of the toy robots known as LBXs, has yet to receive his own LBX because he was forbidden by his mother. He plays with his friends Aoshima "Kazu" Kazuya and Kawamura Ami in their local toy shop after school. On the way home, he encounters a mysterious woman on the run from some masked individuals, who hands Ban a box, telling him that it must never fall into the wrong hands. The masked individuals follow Ban to his home, where Ban discovers in the box is an LBX he had never seen before. The individuals attack, but Ban utilizes the new LBX to fend them off.

Upon acquiring the LBX, which later became known as Achilles after a series of events, Ban and his friends are thrown into a government conspiracy involving the use of LBXs by terrorists known as Innovators that can change the fate of the world. He encounters strong friends and rivals who help him along the way to protect the world from the Innovators, and his LBX, Achilles, is the key to everything.

THAT is the story of Danball Senki. There is also a sequel known as Danball Senki W and a third called Danball Senki WARS.

It is called "Danball Senki" because the japanese word, "danbooru" means "cardboard". In English, the name means "Cardboard Wars", because that is essentially the toy scheme. Danball Senki is the more widely-used term for the series by fans.

As of right now, there are no localized ports for the games. The game originated on the PSP and has since then been released on the PSP, PS Vita, and Nintendo 3DS.

I really need to check this out at some point. Enjoyed the First Volume of the Manga was good, I really want to buy the other volumes. I like the concept of this series and I'd love to watch it once I find some time for it.
