RE: Discuss your yu-gi-oh decks here. - BlankShot - Oct. 23, 2010 I really can't wait for Storm of Ragnarok. True Sixsams look sick. RE: Discuss your yu-gi-oh decks here. - Roan - Oct. 23, 2010 There are two guys at my locals who have been playing Six Samurai for months now and they consistently top with them. Once the new support comes out I honestly fear that deck. It's already good but the new cards are about to break the deck. RE: Discuss your yu-gi-oh decks here. - Roan - Oct. 23, 2010 Sorry for the double post, but I just wrote up a pretty extensive analysis of Starstrike Blast and its potential effects on the meta-game. I'd love it if you all took a look! http://roansproygo.blogspot.com/2010/10/crystal-gazing-starstrike-blast-and.html RE: Discuss your yu-gi-oh decks here. - Priscient - Oct. 23, 2010 Thanks for the update Roan, I really like reading the deck lists, tournament reports, and basically anything else you put up on the blog, but it was pretty interesting. As far as I've seen, GB's and Six Sams weren't scary at all. (Unless the people playing them were bad?) RE: Discuss your yu-gi-oh decks here. - Elmo - Oct. 23, 2010 It's hard to play GB well since at any one point there are several options to choose from, and choosing the wrong option is sometimes a very easy mistake to make. Six Samurai is good right now only because of Gateway. If Gateway is not drawn, they basically lose. I agree with you, Ryan. Glow-Up Bulb and Tuning are the cards to watch out for in Starstrike Blast. Formula Synchron is crazy as well, but I don't think it's very game-breaking. It usually only results in a +0 for most decks that utilize it, although it does help with the consistency of those decks. Here's to hoping that the exclusives will be good. lol RE: Discuss your yu-gi-oh decks here. - stormleone2052 - Oct. 24, 2010 i have a mix deck RE: Discuss your yu-gi-oh decks here. - Gearfried97 - Oct. 24, 2010 (Oct. 24, 2010 12:10 AM)stormleone2052 Wrote: i have a mix deck can you please elaborate on this? what are the cards in it? how is it supposed to work? You need at least some kind of searching card also Goblin Attack Force goes into defense mode after attacking, so they could use a monster with piercing damage RE: Discuss your yu-gi-oh decks here. - Elmo - Oct. 24, 2010 lol6300 Lightning Vortex and piercers are bad examples as to why that play is bad. That play is bad for a number of reasons: (When I say -1 I mean that you currently have 1 less card than your opponent when comparing both players' fields and hands. Summons and playing Spells/Traps are inherently -1's if you're only looking at hand advantage and the Summon or Spell/Trap doesn't do anything, which usually isn't the case for Spells/Traps.) 1) Summoning Turret Warrior is already a -1. All tribute monsters are -1's. The only ones that are actually decent in the game right now are monarchs, tribute monsters that have effects that activate upon their Summoning. 2) Lucky Axe is an Equip, I assume? Equip Spells are also -1's, since the Equip Spell doesn't actually net any card loss/gain for your opponent, while you spend the Spell to gain ATK points. You're currently at a -2 in card advantage. 3) You end your turn with just that play? Your opponent has their entire turn to counter... 4) If your monster survives that turn, and you are able to get Lightning Vortex to go off and successfully attack with both monsters, your opponent is still left with 1700 LP. You still haven't won, and you've lost so much card advantage. This is assuming that all goes according to plan. You opponent can easily destroy your Turret Warrior during either turn. Also, you plan on using Heavy Storm after you Summon and use Lightning Vortex? Heavy Storm should precede everything you do for that turn, since you don't want your opponent's Spells/Traps interfering your plays... RE: Discuss your yu-gi-oh decks here. - Gamer420 - Oct. 26, 2010 OK, I'm sorry if this deck sucks, I don't get YGO cards that often: Monsters: Blue Eyes White Dragon, (If the opponent starts to bug me I just throw this out to threaten them) Blackwing - Shura, (Instant Gale FTW) Sangan, (Search out Gale again FTW) Dark Tinker, (Tuner for synchros) G.B. Hunter, (My friend has a Glad Beasts deck so this is for countering 'Contact Fusion') Snipe Hunter, (Ditch a card, roll a dice, easy monster go boom boom!) Blackwing - Sirocco X2, (If I'm in a tight spot throw him out) Blackwing - Gale, (Self explainatory) Blackwing - Kalut X2, (Boost attack for uber ATK points) Wall of illusion, (What I call a 'Bounce effect') Caius The Shadow Monarch, (Pretty much the same reason as BEWD) Blackwing - Bora, (Piercer) The Tricky, (Makes Synchro summoning or SS - ing easier) Neo - Spacian Grand Mole, (Bounce effect) Spells: Brain control, (Steal monster for SS - ing) AOD, (Self explainatory) Black Whirlwind X2, MST, Nobleman of Crossout, Dark World Dealings, Lightening Vortex, Heavy storm, Pot of Avarice, SORL, Traps: Trap hole, Urgent tuning, Call of the Haunted, Birthright, Negate attack, Scrap - iron scarecrow, Widespread ruin, Dust tornado, Bottomless trap hole X2, Raigeki break, Torrential tribute, Magic cylinder, Sakuretsu armour, Castle Walls, Trap dustshoot, Synchros: Ancient fairy dragon X3, X - saber Urbellum, Black Rose Dragon, Colossal Fighter, Red dragon Archfiend. Any suggestions? Please note I am from the UK so please suggest only cards available in the UK. RE: Discuss your yu-gi-oh decks here. - Priscient - Oct. 26, 2010 ^ Black whirlwind is limited to one, Threatening roar is better than negate attack. Also, your deck doesn't really follow a theme. =/ You could try to make a blackwing deck, but you're still missing a good amount of cards. Blue eyes doesn't belong anywhere in that deck. and IMO, ancient fairy dragon is really bad. If I had to, out of 5, I would give it a 2/2.5. RE: Discuss your yu-gi-oh decks here. - Pyro - Oct. 26, 2010 Haha I actually don't understanf this synchro buisness. After spirits, I know nothing RE: Discuss your yu-gi-oh decks here. - Newt - Oct. 27, 2010 Some of you might know I quit the game a few months back. I sold off everything i had bar 1 GB deck. Folders Decks Tins everyting went, Ihave 46 cards left. It netted me over £500 and a xbox360 getting rid of that overpriced cardboard. Anyways around about the same time my best dueling mate decided to quit aswell. He has managed to sell of everything bar his tins of commons. I was invited over to his house tonight and we got talking. I mentioned the fact that i missed us dueling and asked if he had any cards left. He left the room and came back with his tins. I had an idea we picked 3 tins each and we constructed a deck each out of whatever came out of those tins. We played traditional as most of the big bad nasty cards are not common and wouldnt be in the tins. I looked through my tins and there wasnt a lot going for me. I put together a sort of dark scorpion/ e hero warrior deck. My mate put together a roid/vanilla beat down deck. I'll tell you what though. The games that followed were the most fun I have had in years. The thrill of not knowing what you will draw, Not knowing what your opponents going to do. Its alot better than playing on the top tabes at a locals. I dunno maybe it was that it felt good to be a noob again. Afterall the noobs are the players that keep the game going not the elitist jerks at the top. Without the noobs the game would have died years ago. The noobs are the ones that buy the most packs and other product. I guess its just nice to be playing in a non competative enviroment. I still don't regret quitting one bit but after tonight I think I might ask a few people for a few commons. Ill get enough to build a decent 40 card common deck then I can play with the noobs at my local hobby shop any maybe the game might be fun again.
