This has been talked about Time and Time again but it was most likely a April fools day joke played by Adult swim to fool around with its viewers

Yes, it was. But Adult Swim is saying that they'll do it if it sparks enough interest. So it's looking pretty likely.

I'm pretty sure it was just a April Fools prank. A good one at that.
Cartoonetwork did a Toonami marathon on April 1st, I'm guessing it was supposed to be a prank and thousands fell for it =P

The Toonami thing, as everyone else said, was a prank done by Adult Swim. I wouldn't mind having them bring it back though, that would be awesome!
